Description
Claims (12)
- 기판 상방에 설치된 반사판과, 상기 반사판 상에 액정층 및 투명 전극층이 적어도 1회 교호로 반복하여 순차 적층되어 이루어지는 액정 셀을 구비하고, 모든 투명 전극층에 제공되는 전위 정보를 제어하는 능동 소자 및 배선이 상기 기판에 형성되고, 상기 각 투명 전극층과 상기 능동 소자가 전기적으로 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은 색소 분자 및 액정 분자를 포함하는 게스트 호스트(Guest Host) 액정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은 상기 게스트 호스트 액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 마이크로캡슐로 구성되는 박막인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 기판 상방에 설치된 반사판과, 상기 반사판 상에 액정층 및 투명 전극층이 적어도 1회 교호로 반복하여 순차 적층되어 이루어지는 액정 셀을 구비하고, 상기 액정층은 색소 분자 및 액정 분자를 포함하는 마이크로캡슐 형상의 게스트 호스트 액정을 구성된 박막을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 모든 투명 전극에 제공되는 전위 정보를 제어하는 능동 소자 및 배선이 상기 기판 상에 형성되어, 상기 각 투명 전극층과 상기 능동 소자가 전기적으로 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은 상기 투명 전극층 및 상기 박막을 1단위로하여 상기 반사판 상에 복수 단위 적층되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 투명 전극층 및 상기 액정층이 상기 반사판 상에 각각 3층 적층되어 있고, 각 액정층의 색이 각각 시안, 마젠타 및 옐로우에 대응하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 투명 전극층 및 상기 액정층이 상기 반사판 상에 각각 4층 적층되어 있고, 각 필름의 색이 각각 시안, 마젠타, 옐로우 및 블랙에 대응하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 각 투명 전극층과 상기 능동 소자가 도금층에 의해 전기적으로 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 기판과 상기 반사판과의 사이에 일정 전위의 실드(shield) 전극이 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 기판 상방에 설치된 반사판과, 상기 반사판 상에 액정층 및 투명 전극층이 적어도 1회 교호로 반복하여 순차 적층되어 이루어지는 액정 셀을 구비하는 액정 표시 장치의 구동 방법에 있어서, 상기 반사판 및 모든 투명 전극층의 전위를, 2개의 상이한 전위를 적층 방향에서 교호로 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 구동방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 반사판 또는 상기 투명 전극층의 면에 대해 거의 수직 방향인 입사광에 있어서의 상기 액정층 중의 액정 분자 및 색소 분자의 투과율 또는 반사율로 최대 또는 최소로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
