本発明は原木の左右4而を挾持して回転させながら原木
全長に亘る切削刃物により幅広な薄板状のベニヤ単板を
切削するベニヤレースに関スるものである。最近の合板
工場においては原木事情の悪化と、合板製造コストの低
減を目的に、合板製品コストの殆どを占める原木代金と
、人件費の削減に鋭意努力を払っている。従って原木は
単価の低順な低級原木指向となり、また、製造装置も人
手を省くコンベアシステムによる高速化・された直結ラ
インが要望されて来たのである。その結果合板製造ライ
ンの先頭に据えられるベニヤレースの課題として前記コ
ンベアによる直結ラインにおける各種装置によって単板
が処理加工される為には、平坦な癖のないベニヤ単板を
高速で然かも低級な原木から切削する要請が高まって来
