Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the output of engine and improve its operaterbility by providing to a fuel injection nozzle a combustion atomization developing device having a supersonic wave generation unit. CONSTITUTION:An injection hole 5' of a nozzle 2 is enlarged. A projecting portion of a needle valve 1 removed. The outside of the nozzle 2 is provided with a screw 8 for fastening a supersonic wave generation unit 7. A vibration device 7 is placed on the end surface of the nozzle 2. A cap nut 13 is threaded into the screw 8 and the vibration unit 7 is fastened to the end surface of the nozzle 2. The cap nut 13 has a bottom where a hole slightly larger than the outside diameter of a ring- shaped projection is provided. A center hole 14 of a vibrator 10 is trumpet-shaped so that the hole diameter may be maximum on the outside end face of the ring shaped projection 9 and minimum on the inside end surface. Injection fuel receives supersonic wave vibration and atomization is developed. The trumpet shape increases the angle of atomization and equalizes atomization so that adheision of foreign matter to the nozzle 15 can be prevented.
