Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to form the corrugation with high wave crest on substratum and as well as improve the corrosion resistance and strength of a composite substratum by a method wherein thermoplastic resin is coated or a thermoplastic resin film is pasted on the mating surfaces of the corrugated and plain substrata of the sensible heat exchanger in order to weld the mating surfaces with each other by treating with heat and pressure. CONSTITUTION:The substratum 3 consists of an aluminum foil or thin plate 4, on the surface of the one side of which a film 5 is formed by coating with or by pasting a film made of thermoplastic resin and on the surface of the other side of which a film 6 is formed by coating with or by pasting a film made of thermoplastic or thermosetting resin having a higher melting point and a smaller friction factor than those of said above-mentioned thermoplastic resin applied on the surface of the one side. The manufacture of a single faced currugated board 10 for the sensible heat exchanger use is so performed that the one of the substrata 3 is made into a corrugated substratum by being bent in corrugated shape at the point A with an upper forming gear 7 and a lower forming gear 8 and, after that, heated and applied by pressure together with the other of the substrata 3 serving as a plain substratum at the point B with the lower forming gear 8 and a heat press roller 9. At this case, the film 5 side surfaces of both the substrata are employed as mating surfaces and the films 5 of both the substrata are adhered tightly to each other by melting.
