Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain molded products continuously with high efficiency by a method wherein metallic molds and a hydraulic unit for operating to open or close the metallic molds are reciprocally movable in the directions same as and reverse to the feed direction of a molded sheet.
CONSTITUTION: Metallic molds 3 are reciprocally movable in the directions same as and reverse to the feed direction of a molded sheet 2 supplied from a molded sheet supplying mechanism 1. The molding is performed while moving the metallic molds 3 accommodating the molded sheet 2 in the same direction as that of feeding the molded sheet 2. After the completion of the molding, the metallic molds 3 are opened and a molded product 6 is removed from the molds. Then, the metallic molds 3 are moved in the reverse direction to that of feeding the molded sheet 2 while being opened. With this movement, the molded sheet 2 passes through a space between the metallic molds 3 facing each other and next molding operation is ready to start. The continuous molding is realized by repeating the above processes as one cycle in due course.
