Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the close contact status of thermal recording paper with the thermal head uniform by pressing the thermal head on to the side of a pressure roller by means of a spring. CONSTITUTION:A thin insulated base plate 8 with heating elements 7 provided in one line on the surface thereof is stuck to a thick base plate 9 having hardness and is fixed to a fitting board 12 by screws 11 through fitting holes 10 provided in the thick base plate 9. A head-fitting stands 12 are coupled by a stay 13 and further fixed between side plates 14 by fitting screws 15. Moreover, a spring board 16 is fixed to the back side of the base plate 9 by a screw 17. By this constitution, when the base plate 9 is fixed to the head-fitting stands 12, the spring 16 is compressed between the stay 13 and the base plate 9 to generate a force pushing up the base plate 9 in the central part. Accordingly, the close contact of the recording paper with the heating element 7 by the pressure roller is made uniform throughout the whole width of the recording paper.
