Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a wide visual range for the rear window of a car with a simple structure by providing a car-roof support pillar with a shape to permit the wide visual range, and containing it within a window glass to exclude the open air from inside a car room.
CONSTITUTION: Quarter pillars 1 are provided within a rear glass 1 inside a car room, and the rear glass 1 is shaped to be in one body with a usual side glass. Front pillars are similarly shaped as the quarter pillars. In this construction, since seal parts are disused to exclude the open air, pillars are made free from the question of sealing even if they are given intricate shapes to improve visuality, and the visual range of a car can be widened by a simple structure.
