Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition having excellent adhesiveness, ageing resistance or the like and being suitable as a hot melt adhesive agent consisting of an ethylenic copolymer and/or a wax and a polyhydric alcohol ester of purified disproportionated rosin.
CONSTITUTION: To (a) 100pts.wt. of an ethylenic copolymer such as a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate and/or about 10W300pts.wt. of a wax such as paraffin wax, (b) an ester obtained by a method wherein a disproportionated rosin obtained by subjecting rosin to disproportionating reaction in the presence of a disproportionating catalyst at about 100W300°C for about 10minW8hr is purified by, e. g., distillation and esterified with a polyhydric alcohol such as glycerine or trimethylolethane is added in an amount of 10W150pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of (a) component and mixed uniformly to obtain an objective hot melt composition.
