Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a simple small lens system of less fluctuations and aberrations by forming the optical system with the front group lens having divergent refracting power and the rear group lenses having convergent refracting power and specifying conditions.
CONSTITUTION: The front group I is formed by a concave negative lens I-1 of a strong curvature on the image side and a convex meniscus lens I-2 on the object side. The rear group II having convergent refracting power is formed by three sets of the lens II-1 being a positive single lens or a positive single lens and a cemented lens of a strong curvature on the object side, a concave negative lens II-2 and a positive lens II-3 of a srtong curvature on the image side. When the zoom lens system by both groups I, II satisfied the conditions of formulas 1 thru 3 in their optical specifications, the movement of the lenses at the zooming is defined by the formula (1) and distortions and spherical aberrations are well corrected by the formulas 2, 3, thus the simple and small lens system free from fluctuations by zooming may by obtained.
