On the rear surface of the lift plate (19) of the second vehicle (5), the front end of a rectangular tubular body (27) is fixed at a right angle. Inside the tubular body (27), the rear end is the tubular body (27).
A traction cylinder (31) that is pivotally attached to the front end and is elastically supported at its front end by an elastic member (29) in the tubular body (27) is housed. The elastic member (29) is made of, for example, a rectangular plate-shaped elastic material having a hole (for example, soft rubber). With such a configuration, the traction cylinder (31) can slightly swing in the tubular body (27). The piston rod (31a) of the traction cylinder (31) extends to the first vehicle (3) side with the joint (33) interposed, and the engagement member (35) described later is inserted into the tip end portion thereof. Engaging hole (37) is formed.

First, the first vehicle (3) and the second vehicle (5)
1), the lifting cylinder (25) is advanced, and the lifting plate (1) is moved as shown by the chain double-dashed line in FIG. 1 (b).
9) is lowered from the engagement position with the engagement block (13) . Next, one vehicle (for example, the second vehicle (5))
The second vehicle (5) to start the driving motor installed in the first
Move (forward) to the vehicle (3) side . As the second vehicle (5) moves forward, the piston rod (31a) of the traction cylinder (31) eventually passes through the through slots (41) (43) and the fixing plate (1).
It projects to the first vehicle (3) side of 1). Here, the forward movement of the second vehicle (5) is stopped, and as shown in FIG. 3, the round rod-shaped engaging member (35) is inserted into the engaging hole (37) of the piston rod in a barbed shape. After that, when the towing cylinder (31) is retracted , the engaging member (35) and the fixing plate (11) are engaged with each other to cause the draft.
The first vehicle (3) receiving the attractive force moves to the second vehicle (5) side
(Back) . When the upper end of the lift plate (19) comes into contact with the fixed plate (11), the traction cylinder (31) is stopped, and then the lifting cylinder (25) is retracted. Then,
The elevating plate (19) starts its ascending operation, and the protrusion (15) and the notch (39) are engaged with each other until the centers of the two fixing plates (11) in the width direction are aligned. As shown by the chain double-dashed line (), the upper end of the lift plate (19) fits into the engaging portion (13a) of the engaging block (13). At this time, the fixing plate (11)
And the lift plate (19) are in surface contact with each other. Further, when the lifting cylinder (25) is retracted, the lifting plate (19) and the fixing plate (11) reach the position of the chain double-dashed line, and the first vehicle (3) is lifted from the rail (1). Leave . In this way, with the first vehicle (3) being lifted, the drive motor of the second vehicle (5) is driven to hold the first vehicle (3).
The second vehicle (5) travels on rails (1). After arriving at the work site, the above procedure is reversed to lower the first vehicle (3) onto the rail (1) to perform ballast recovery work.

Further, since the towing cylinder (31) attached to the second vehicle (5) is retracted to bring the two vehicles (3) and (5) closer to each other, the fixed plate (11) and the lifting plate (19) are brought into contact with each other. Made smooth. On the other hand, when both vehicles (3) and (5) are brought close to each other while the drive motor of one vehicle is started and the operator visually measures the distance between the vehicles, the fixing plate (11) is misidentified by the distance. And the elevator plate (19) collide violently, which may damage these members, which is not preferable.

As described above, in the vehicle connecting device according to the present invention, the first vehicle is separated from the rail and only the second vehicle is retrained.
It can be run on a roll. Therefore, for the second vehicle
While making the running system for high-speed running, running the first vehicle
The system can have a simple structure that supports low speed movement.
It Therefore, the first vehicle cannot be quickly transferred to the site.
