であれば、ブリキ(軟鋼板に錫メッキを施したもの)が
磁性材であることから、磁力線φは図示のように缶胴2
1の壁面に沿ってその内部を集中して通り抜ける。これ
により缶胴21の内部には起電力が誘導されて符号iで
示すように小ループのうず電流が流れ、かつこのうず電
流によりジュール熱が発生するとともに、同時に磁力線
φとの鎖交によるヒステリシス損による加熱も加わり、
ここで発生した熱は缶胴21の缶壁から缶内の中身飲料
22に熱伝達して加温する。なお、商品缶がアルミ缶の
ように非磁性材である場合には、磁力線φの缶胴との鎖
交分布が多少変わり、かつヒステリシス損による加熱が
なくなるが、前記と同様な小ループのうず電流が流れて

商品加熱装置の動作を自販機の販売動作に関連して説明
する。図7において、3は自販機のキャビネット、4は
機内に収設した商品収納部、5は庫内を冷却する冷却
器、6はキャビネットの前面扉に開口した商品取出口、
7は商品搬出シュータであり、先記した商品加熱装置1
は商品取出口7に臨ませてその底部に設置されている。
ここで、販売待機状態では商品収納部4に収納されてい
る缶商品2が冷却器5で保冷されている。一方、販売指
令により商品収納部4から缶商品2が搬出されると、缶
商品2は倒置姿勢のまま搬出シュータ7の上を商品取出
口6に向けて転動し、商品加熱装置1の受台11の上に
落下して受容保持される。この場合にホット商品を選択
しなければ、客は商品取出口6を通じて受台11から冷
