Description

The present invention relates to an aerosol spray hair styling product in which a hair styling composition is filled in an aerosol container.

In recent years, pompadour hairstyles as shown in Figure 1 have become popular in Europe and the US. To create pompadour hairstyles, the hair from the frontal area R1 to the top of the head R2 needs to be fixed in a raised position to give a sense of volume, as shown in Figure 1. In addition, with pompadour hairstyles, it is preferable to fix the hair on the top of the head R2 and the sides of the head R3 in a way that prevents it from spreading out.

Traditionally, pompadour hair has been created using a greasy hair styling composition such as a pomade. The following Patent Document 1 discloses a hair cosmetic that can be used as a pomade.

However, unless the practitioner has a high level of skill, it is difficult to create a pompadour hairstyle using a greasy hair styling composition. Practitioners with less than high level of skill are unable to fix the hair in a standing position that creates a sense of volume from the forehead to the top of the head, or are unable to adequately fix the hair at the sides of the head, and are therefore unable to create a good pompadour hairstyle.

In addition, a grease-like hair styling composition requires the user to take the composition out of the container with fingers or the like and apply it to the hair to style it, which is less convenient. Furthermore, a grease-like hair styling composition may have poor applicability to hair.

On the other hand, aerosol hair styling agents such as aerosol spray hair styling agents and aerosol foam hair styling agents are known as hair styling agents that have excellent applicability to hair and can be used to style hair easily. However, conventional aerosol hair styling agents are not designed to create special hairstyles such as pompadour hairstyles. Therefore, it is difficult to create pompadour hairstyles using conventional aerosol hair styling agents.

The object of the present invention is to provide an aerosol spray hair styling product that allows you to easily create pompadour hairstyles.

The present invention comprises an aerosol container, a hair styling composition, and a propellant, the hair styling composition and the propellant being filled in the aerosol container, the hair styling composition being capable of being ejected in the form of a mist from within the aerosol container, the hair styling composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C), (D), and (E), the content of component (A) being 0.5% by mass or more and 10.0% by mass or less, the total content of component (B) and component (C) being 9. The aerosol spray hair styling agent is provided, in which the total content of the components (D) and (E) is 35.0% by mass or more and 90.5% by mass or less, the mass ratio of the content of the component (C) to the total content of the components (B) and (C) is 0.4 or more, the mass ratio of the content of the component (D) to the total content of the components (D) and (E) is 0.05 or more and 0.45 or less, and the propellant contains the following component (X).

In the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling agent composition preferably contains the following component (F).

Component (F): Polyhydric alcohol

The aerosol spray hair styling product of the present invention makes it easy to create pompadour hairstyles.

The present invention is described in detail below.

The aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention comprises an aerosol container, a hair styling agent composition, and a propellant. In the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling agent composition and the propellant are filled in the aerosol container. The hair styling agent composition can be ejected in the form of a mist from the aerosol container.

In the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling agent composition contains a film-forming polymer, polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 35 or more and 120 or less, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 10 or more and 50 or less and having a cetyl group or a stearyl group, water, and ethanol.

In the aerosol spray hair styling product of the present invention, the propellant contains liquefied petroleum gas.

In this specification, the above-mentioned "film-forming polymer" may be referred to as "component (A)."

In this specification, the above-mentioned "polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 35 or more and 120 or less" may be referred to as "component (B)."

In this specification, the above "polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 10 or more and 50 or less and having a cetyl group or a stearyl group" may be referred to as "component (C)."

In this specification, the above "water" may be referred to as "component (D)."

In this specification, the above "ethanol" may be referred to as "component (E)."

In this specification, the above "liquefied petroleum gas" may be referred to as "component (X)."

In the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention, the content of component (A) is 0.5% by mass or more and 10.0% by mass or less, the total content of components (B) and (C) is 9.0% by mass or more and 45.0% by mass or less, and the total content of components (D) and (E) is 35.0% by mass or more and 90.5% by mass or less, based on 100% by mass of the hair styling agent composition.

In the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention, in the hair styling agent composition, the mass ratio of the content of component (C) to the total content of components (B) and (C) (content of component (C)/total content of components (B) and (C)) is 0.4 or more, and the mass ratio of the content of component (D) to the total content of components (D) and (E) (content of component (D)/total content of components (D) and (E)) is 0.05 or more and 0.45 or less.

The aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, so that pompadour hair can be easily created. With the present invention, pompadour hair can be easily created compared to the case of using a greasy hair styling agent composition such as pomade, and even a hairdresser or hairstylist with less advanced technical skills can create good pompadour hair.

The aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention can impart appropriate stiffness to the hair from the forehead to the top of the head, and can prevent the hair at the top and sides of the head from spreading out. Furthermore, the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention can apply the hair styling agent composition in a mist form to the surface of the hair, making it difficult for the hair styling agent composition to reach the roots of the hair. Therefore, the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention can fix the hair in a standing state from the forehead to the top of the head to give a sense of volume, and can fix the hair at the top and sides of the head so that it does not spread out, thereby creating a good pompadour hairstyle.

When the hair styling composition is applied to hair in the form of an aerosol foam hair styling composition rather than an aerosol spray hair styling composition, a relatively large amount of the hair styling composition tends to reach the roots of the hair due to the excellent applicability of the foam, and the hair tends to bend at the roots, making it difficult to fix the hair in a standing position to give it a voluminous look. In addition, with an aerosol foam hair styling composition that contains a film-forming polymer, the film formed on the hair tends to break down during styling, making it even more difficult to fix the hair in a standing position to give it a voluminous look. For this reason, being an aerosol spray hair styling composition is a technically significant configuration.

In addition, the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, which makes it possible to suppress the generation of insoluble matter and further improve the ejection stability.

In the aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling agent composition may contain a polyhydric alcohol.

In this specification, the above "polyhydric alcohol" may be referred to as "component (F)."

The aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention contains at least component (A), component (B), component (C), component (D), and component (E) as the hair styling agent composition, and at least component (X) as the propellant. The hair styling agent composition may contain other components in addition to components (A) to (F). The propellant may contain other components in addition to component (X).

The above components, such as component (A), component (B), component (C), component (E), component (F) and other components, may each be used alone or in combination of two or more.

In this specification, the content of each component contained in the hair styling composition means the total content of all the components contained in the hair styling composition. For example, the content of component (A) means the total content of all the components (A) in the hair styling composition.

[Hair Styling Composition (Aerosol Spray Hair Styling Composition)]
(Component (A))
Component (A) is a film-forming polymer. By using component (A), it is possible to impart appropriate hardness to hair, so that the hair can be fixed in a standing state so as to have a sense of volume from the frontal region to the top of the head. Only one type of component (A) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Component (A) includes anionic film-forming polymers, cationic film-forming polymers, amphoteric film-forming polymers, and nonionic film-forming polymers.

Examples of the anionic film-forming polymer include alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymers, (meth)acrylic acid/alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymers, acrylic resin alkanolamines, methyl vinyl ether/maleic acid ester copolymers, vinyl acetate/crotonic acid copolymers, vinyl acetate/crotonic acid/vinyl neodecanoate copolymers, vinyl acetate/crotonic acid/vinyl propionate copolymers, vinyl acetate/monobutyl maleate/isoboryl acrylate copolymers, acrylic acid/alkyl acrylate/alkylacrylamide copolymers, polyvinylpyrrolidone/acrylate/(meth)acrylic acid copolymers, (styrene/alkyl acrylate) copolymers, (styrene/acrylic acid amide) copolymers, urethane-acrylic copolymers, and sodium polystyrene sulfonate. Note that "(meth)acrylic" means both "acrylic" and "methacrylic".

The above cationic film-forming polymers include vinylpyrrolidone/N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylic acid copolymer diethyl sulfate (Polyquaternium-11), vinylpyrrolidone/dimethylaminopropyl methacrylamide/methacryloylaminopropyl lauryl dimethyl ammonium chloride copolymer, dimethyldiallyl ammonium chloride/acrylamide copolymer (Polyquaternium-7), acrylic acid/dimethyldiallyl ammonium chloride copolymer (Polyquaternium-22), (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester/methacryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride copolymer, butyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid Examples include 2-ethoxyethyl/methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride copolymer, O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]hydroxyethylcellulose chloride, vinylimidazolium trichloride/vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, hydroxyethylcellulose/dimethyldiallylammonium chloride, polyvinylpyrrolidone/alkylaminoacrylate/vinylcaprolactam copolymer, methylvinylimidazolium chloride-vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, and (vinylpyrrolidone/dimethylaminopropyl methacrylamide/lauryldimethylaminopropyl methacrylamide) copolymer.

Examples of the amphoteric film-forming polymer include (ethyl betaine methacrylate/acrylates) copolymer, N-methacryloyloxyethyl N,N-dimethylammonium-α-N-methylcarboxybetaine/methacrylic acid alkyl ester copolymer, N,N-dimethyl-N-(2-methacryloyloxyethyl)amine=N-oxide/methacrylic acid alkyl ester copolymer, hydroxypropyl acrylate/butylaminoethyl methacrylate/acrylic acid octylamide copolymer, monochloroacetic acid amphoteric acid derivative of dialkylaminoethyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid alkyl ester copolymer, and (isobutylene/diethylaminopropylmaleimide/maleic acid) copolymer.

Examples of the nonionic film-forming polymer include polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, vinyl acetate-vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, vinyl methyl ether-ethyl maleate copolymer, and polyvinyl caprolactam.

In the above hair styling composition (100% by mass), the content of component (A) is 0.5% by mass or more and 10.0% by mass or less. If the content of component (A) is less than 0.5% by mass, the hair is not given sufficient hardness, and it is difficult to fix the hair in a standing state so as to give a sense of volume from the forehead to the top of the head. If the content of component (A) exceeds 10.0% by mass, insoluble matter may be generated, and the composition may not be usable as an aerosol spray hair styling agent.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (A) is preferably 1.0% by mass or more, and preferably 8.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (A) is equal to or more than the above lower limit, the hair can be imparted with better hardness, and the hair can be more suitably fixed in a standing state so as to give a sense of volume from the forehead to the top of the head. When the content of component (A) is equal to or less than the above upper limit, the generation of insoluble matter can be further suppressed, and the ejection stability can be improved.

(Component (B))
Component (B) is a polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 35 or more and 120 or less. Component (B) is a nonionic surfactant. By using component (B), the adhesive strength between hair strands can be increased while imparting hardness to the hair, so that the hair on the top and sides of the head can be fixed so as not to spread out. Component (B) may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds.

In order to increase the adhesive strength between hair strands while still providing hardness to the hair, the average number of moles of ethylene oxide (EO) added in component (B) (average number of moles of EO added in the polyoxyethylene portion) is 35 or more and 120 or less.

The average number of moles of ethylene oxide added in component (B) is preferably 40 or more, and preferably 100 or less. When the average number of moles of ethylene oxide added in component (B) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the adhesive strength between the hairs can be further increased, and the hair on the top and sides of the head can be well fixed so that it does not spread out.

Component (B) preferably contains polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil with an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 35 or more and 65 or less. In this case, the adhesive strength between the hair strands can be further increased while still providing the hair with better hardness, so that the hair on the top and sides of the head can be well fixed so that it does not spread out.

In this specification, the above-mentioned "polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil having an average number of added moles of ethylene oxide of 35 or more and 65 or less" may be referred to as "component (B1)." From the viewpoint of further increasing the adhesive strength between hair strands, the average number of added moles of ethylene oxide in component (B1) is preferably 40 or more and preferably 60 or less.

The mass ratio of the content of component (B1) to the content of component (B) (content of component (B1)/content of component (B)) is preferably 0.4 or more, more preferably 0.5 or more. When the mass ratio (content of component (B1)/content of component (B)) is equal to or more than the lower limit, the adhesive strength between hair strands can be further increased.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (B1) is preferably 0.2% by mass or more, more preferably 0.4% by mass or more, and preferably 14.85% by mass or less, more preferably 13.75% by mass or less. When the content of component (B1) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the adhesive strength between hair strands can be further increased.

The mass ratio of the content of component (B) to the total content of components (B) and (C) (content of component (B)/total content of components (B) and (C)) is preferably 0.1 or more, more preferably 0.2 or more. When the mass ratio (content of component (B)/total content of components (B) and (C)) is equal to or more than the lower limit, the adhesive strength between the hair strands can be further increased while imparting stiffness to the hair, so that the hair on the top and sides of the head can be well fixed so that it does not spread out.

(Component (C))
Component (C) is a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having an average number of moles of ethylene oxide added of 10 or more and 50 or less, and having a cetyl group or a stearyl group. Component (C) is a nonionic surfactant. By using component (C), it is possible to impart hardness to hair, so that the hair can be fixed in a raised state so as to have a sense of volume from the frontal region to the top of the head. Only one type of component (C) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Component (C) is polyoxyethylene cetyl ether and/or polyoxyethylene stearyl ether, i.e., either or both of polyoxyethylene cetyl ether and polyoxyethylene stearyl ether.

The average number of moles of ethylene oxide (EO) added in component (C) (the average number of moles of EO added in the polyoxyethylene portion) is 10 or more and 50 or less.

The average number of moles of ethylene oxide added in component (C) is preferably 15 or more, and preferably 45 or less. When the average number of moles of ethylene oxide added in component (C) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, it is possible to impart stiffness to the hair more satisfactorily, and it is possible to more suitably fix the hair in a standing state so as to give a sense of volume from the forehead to the top of the head.

The mass ratio of the content of component (C) to the total content of components (B) and (C) (content of component (C)/total content of components (B) and (C)) is 0.4 or more. If the mass ratio (content of component (C)/total content of components (B) and (C)) is less than 0.4, the hair is not given sufficient stiffness, and it is difficult to fix the hair in a standing position that gives a sense of volume from the forehead to the top of the head.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the total content of components (B) and (C) is 9.0% by mass or more and 45.0% by mass or less. If the total content is less than 9.0% by mass, it is difficult to create a pompadour hairstyle because the hair from the forehead to the top of the head cannot be fixed in a voluminous raised state, and the hair at the sides cannot be fixed sufficiently. If the total content exceeds 45.0% by mass, insoluble matter may be generated, and the composition may not be usable as an aerosol spray hair styling agent.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the total content of component (B) and component (C) is preferably 12.0% by mass or more, and preferably 40.0% by mass or less. When the total content is equal to or more than the lower limit, it is possible to create a better pompadour hairstyle. When the total content is equal to or less than the upper limit, it is possible to suppress the generation of insoluble matter and improve the ejection stability.

(Component (D))
Component (D) is water. Component (D) plays a role as a solvent. In addition, by using component (D), the solubility of components (B) and (C) can be increased, and further, the above-mentioned effects of components (B) and (C) can be effectively exerted. Component (D) is preferably purified water.

(Component (E))
Component (E) is ethanol. Component (E) functions as a solvent. In addition, by using component (E), the hair styling composition after ejection does not become foamy, and can be ejected in the form of mist.

From the viewpoint of dissolving each component well and discharging the hair styling composition well in the form of a mist, the total content of component (D) and component (E) is 35.0% by mass or more and 90.5% by mass or less in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the total content of components (D) and (E) is preferably 45.0% by mass or more, more preferably 50.0% by mass or more, preferably 85.0% by mass or less, more preferably 80.0% by mass or less. When the total content is equal to or more than the lower limit and equal to or less than the upper limit, each component can be dissolved well, and the hair styling composition can be ejected well in a mist form.

From the viewpoint of dissolving each component well and discharging the hair styling composition well in the form of a mist, the mass ratio of the content of component (D) to the total content of components (D) and (E) (content of component (D)/total content of components (D) and (E)) is 0.05 or more and 0.45 or less.

The mass ratio of the content of component (D) to the total content of components (D) and (E) (content of component (D)/total content of components (D) and (E)) is preferably 0.1 or more, and preferably 0.4 or less. When the mass ratio (content of component (D)/total content of components (D) and (E)) is equal to or more than the lower limit, each component can be dissolved more effectively. When the mass ratio (content of component (D)/total content of components (D) and (E)) is equal to or less than the upper limit, the hair styling composition can be ejected well in the form of a mist.

(Component (F))
Component (F) is a polyhydric alcohol. The hair styling composition preferably contains component (F). By using component (F), the adhesive strength between hair strands can be further increased, and hair on the top and sides of the head can be well fixed so as not to spread out.

Examples of component (F) include glycerin, diglycerin, 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,2-butanediol, 1,2-pentanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, 1,2-octanediol, 1,2-decanediol, polyethylene glycol, and polyoxypropylene methyl glucoside.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (F) is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 9.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (F) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the adhesive strength between the hair strands can be further increased, and the hair on the top and sides of the head can be well fixed so that it does not spread out.

(Other ingredients)
The hair styling composition may contain other components in addition to the above-mentioned components (A) to (F). The other components are not particularly limited, and examples thereof include surfactants different from both components (B) and (C), oily components (vegetable oils, etc.), cooling agents, pH adjusters, preservatives, antioxidants, sequestering agents (EDTA, etc.), vitamins, animal and plant extracts, pearlizing agents, colorants, and fragrances. Only one type of each of the other components may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

The hair styling composition can be produced by a known and commonly used method for producing an aerosol spray hair styling composition. The hair styling composition is not particularly limited, but can be produced, for example, by mixing component (A), component (B), component (C), component (D), component (E), and optionally component (F) and other components.

[Propellant]
(Component (X))
Component (X) is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). By using component (X), the compatibility between the hair styling composition and the propellant can be increased, and the ejection stability can be increased.

In 100% by mass of the propellant, the content of component (X) is preferably 50.0% by mass or more, more preferably 60.0% by mass or more, even more preferably 80.0% by mass or more, particularly preferably 90.0% by mass or more, and most preferably 100% by mass (total amount). When the content of component (X) is equal to or more than the lower limit, the compatibility of the hair styling composition with the propellant can be further increased, and the ejection stability can be further increased.

(Propellants other than component (X))
The propellant may contain a propellant other than component (X). Examples of the propellant other than component (X) include dimethyl ether (DME), isobutane, and nitrogen gas. The propellant other than component (X) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

[Aerosol spray hair styling agent]
The aerosol spray hair styling agent of the present invention comprises an aerosol container, the hair styling agent composition, and the propellant. The aerosol container is preferably an aerosol spray container. The aerosol spray container has a button-type actuator. In the aerosol spray hair styling agent, the hair styling agent composition and the propellant are filled in the aerosol container. The hair styling agent composition is a blend of the contents filled in the aerosol container in the aerosol spray hair styling agent, excluding the propellant.

The aerosol spray hair styling agent can be prepared by a known method. Examples of methods for preparing the aerosol spray hair styling agent include filling an aerosol spray container with the hair styling agent composition or each of the blended ingredients contained in the hair styling agent composition, clinching the aerosol spray container with an aerosol valve, filling the propellant through the stem, and attaching a suitable spray button to the stem.

In a total of 100% by mass of the hair styling composition and the propellant, the content of the hair styling composition is preferably 20.0% by mass or more, more preferably 30.0% by mass or more, preferably 80.0% by mass or less, more preferably 70.0% by mass or less. When the content of the hair styling composition is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the ejection properties become even better.

The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples and comparative examples. The present invention is not limited to the following examples. Note that Example 8 below is a reference example.

(Examples 1 to 26 and Comparative Examples 1 to 9)
Preparation of aerosol spray hair styling agent:
The ingredients shown in Tables 1 to 7 below were blended (units of blending are mass%) to prepare hair styling compositions (undiluted solutions) having the compositions shown in Tables 1 to 7 below. The obtained hair styling compositions (undiluted solutions) were filled into an aerosol spray container (volume 95 mL). Next, an aerosol valve was clinched onto the aerosol spray container, and the propellants shown in Tables 1 to 7 below were filled into the stem, and a suitable button (button hole diameter: 0.45 mm) was attached to the stem to prepare an aerosol spray hair styling agent. The blend amounts in the tables (blend amounts relative to 100% by mass of the hair styling composition) are shown as the blend amounts of pure components (unit: mass%).

(Comparative Examples 10 and 11)
Preparation of aerosol foam hair styling agent:
The ingredients shown in Table 7 below were blended (unit: mass%) to prepare a hair styling composition (undiluted solution) having the composition shown in Table 7 below. The obtained hair styling composition (undiluted solution) was filled into an aerosol container (φ35 mm×105 mm, aluminum can, container full capacity 91 mL). Next, an aerosol valve was clinched to the aerosol container, and then the propellant shown in Table 7 was filled from the stem, and a foam actuator suitable for the stem was attached to prepare an aerosol foam hair styling agent. The blending amount in the table (blending amount in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition) is shown as the blending amount of the pure component (unit: mass%).

(evaluation)
The obtained aerosol spray hair styling agent and aerosol foam hair styling agent were evaluated as follows. The evaluation results are shown in Tables 1 to 7. The evaluation was performed by a panel of three experts, who decided the evaluation results through discussion.

In addition, for the aerosol spray hair styling agent of Comparative Example 9, excessive foaming of the hair styling agent composition was observed, so evaluation of Test Examples 1 and 2 was not performed.

(Test Example 1: Presence or Absence of Insoluble Matter)
The ingredients shown in Tables 1 to 7 below were blended (unit: mass %) to prepare hair styling compositions (undiluted solutions) having the compositions shown in Tables 1 to 7 below. The obtained hair styling compositions (undiluted solutions) were filled into a transparent pressure-resistant bottle (aerosol test bottle, capacity: 100 mL). Next, a bottle valve was crimped onto the transparent pressure-resistant bottle, and the propellants shown in Tables 1 to 7 below were filled into the bottle from the stem to prepare evaluation samples.

The above evaluation samples were left to stand at -3°C for 48 hours, and then visually inspected for the presence or absence of insoluble matter. Evaluation was based on the following criteria.

<Evaluation Criteria for the Occurrence of Insoluble Matter>
○ (Good): No insoluble matter was found × (Poor): Insoluble matter was found

For the aerosol spray hair styling products of Comparative Examples 3, 6, and 8, which had poor evaluation results in Test Example 1, the following evaluation in Test Example 2 was not performed. On the other hand, for the aerosol spray hair styling products of Comparative Examples 1 and 11, which had poor evaluation results in Test Example 1, the following evaluation in Test Example 2 was performed.

(Test Example 2: Styling ability of pompadour hair)
A medium-length wig (Lesson Mannequin: manufactured by Eucalyptus Japan Co., Ltd.) was prepared. The front hair of the wig was lifted with a comb, and each aerosol hair styling agent was sprayed evenly onto the front hair for about 5 seconds while flowing from the front to the top of the head.

Next, the hair on the sides of the wig was combed toward the back of the head while each aerosol hair styling product was sprayed evenly onto the hair on the sides for approximately 3 seconds.

In this way, a pompadour hairstyle was created, and the styling of the front, top, and sides of the head was checked visually and by touch. The styling of the pompadour hair was evaluated according to the following criteria.

(1) Stylability (hardness) from the front to the top of the head
○○ (Excellent): From the forehead to the top of the head, the hair stands up and is firmly fixed, giving a sense of volume, and feels hard when touched with the hand. ○ (Good): From the forehead to the top of the head, the hair stands up and is fixed, giving a sense of volume, but does not feel hard. × (Poor): From the forehead to the top of the head, the hair does not stand up and give a sense of volume.

<(2) Hair styling properties (adhesiveness) on the top and sides of the head>
○○ (Excellent): There is no loose hair on the sides, and the hair on the top and sides is firmly fixed without spreading out. ○ (Good): Although some loose hair was observed on the sides, the hair on the top and sides is fixed without spreading out. × (Poor): The hair on at least one of the top and sides is spreading out.

<(3) Evaluation Criteria for Styling Pompadour Hair>
○○: The evaluation results for both "(1) Styling ability from the forehead to the parietal region" and "(2) Styling ability at the parietal region and sides" are ○○, and the hair styling ability for pompadour hair is excellent. ○: Of the evaluation results for "(1) Styling ability from the forehead to the parietal region" and "(2) Styling ability at the parietal region and sides," one is ○○ and the other is ○, or both are ○, and the hair styling ability for pompadour hair is good. ×: At least one of the evaluation results for "(1) Styling ability from the forehead to the parietal region" and "(2) Styling ability at the parietal region and sides" is ×, and pompadour hair cannot be created.

The compositions and results are shown in Tables 1 to 7 below.

In the aerosol spray hair styling products prepared in Examples 1 to 26, the components (A) to (E) are used in specific amounts, so that the hair from the frontal area to the top of the head is fixed in a raised state to give a sense of volume, and the hair at the top and sides of the head is fixed so as not to spread out, and pompadour hair can be easily and satisfactorily created. In contrast, the aerosol spray hair styling products prepared in Comparative Examples 1 to 9 produced insoluble matter and did not exhibit the desired hair styling power, making it impossible to create pompadour hair. In addition, in the aerosol foam hair styling products prepared in Comparative Examples 10 and 11, the hair styling composition spread to the roots of the hair, and it was not possible to fix the hair in a raised state to give a sense of volume. In addition, when Comparative Example 10 and Comparative Example 11 are compared, Comparative Example 10, which uses a hair styling composition containing component (A), was not able to fix the hair in a raised state to give a sense of volume.

The following is an example of a formulation for the aerosol spray hair styling product of the present invention.

the content of the component A is 0.5% by mass or more and 10.0% by mass or less in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition ,
the total content of the component B and the component C is 14.0 % by mass or more and 45.0% by mass or less in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition ,
the total content of the component D and the component E is 35.0% by mass or more and 90.5% by mass or less in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition ,
a mass ratio of the content of the component C to the total content of the components B and C is 0.4 or more;
a mass ratio of the content of the component D to the total content of the component D and the component E is 0.05 or more and 0.45 or less;
