Description
本出願は、35 U.S.C. §119(e)の下、2020年6月1日に提出され参照によりその全内容が完全に組み入れられる米国特許出願第63/032,892号の優先権の恩典を主張する。
本開示は概して眼科用レンズに関し、より具体的には、新規の両面非球面回折多焦点レンズ、その設計、製造、および使用に関する。
眼科は、ヒトの眼の解剖、生理、および疾患を対象とする医学分野である。ヒトの眼の解剖学的構造はかなり複雑である。眼の主な構造には、眼の前部外側にある球面状の透明な組織である角膜と;眼の有色部である虹彩と;虹彩における適合可能なアパーチャであり眼内で受け取られる光の量を調整する瞳孔と;眼内部の小さく透明なディスクであり光線を網膜上に集束させる水晶体と;眼の後面または背面を形成する層であり、感知した光を視神経から脳まで伝わる電気インパルスに変換する網膜とが含まれる。後房、すなわち網膜と水晶体との間の空間は房水で満たされており、前房、すなわち水晶体と角膜との間の空間は透明なジェリー状の物質である硝子体液で満たされている。
