This disclosure relates to refurbished building materials.

Conventionally, a method for renovating openings in buildings, such as by remodeling, has been to use a cover construction method in which new fittings are installed in the openings. In fittings renovated using this cover construction method, a new frame is attached to the inner periphery of an existing frame attached to the opening of a building (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The renovation fixture described in Patent Document 1 comprises a new frame assembled on all four sides, and a long covering material attached to the surface of the new frame. The covering material is attached so as to cover the surface of the new frame.

However, when a cover member is attached to the surface of a newly constructed frame at a renovation site, depending on the site's construction, the side portion of the existing frame where the cover member is not attached may be visible from the exterior wall surface. In this case, the design may be impaired. Furthermore, depending on the construction of various sites with different wall thicknesses, the degree to which the portion is visible from the exterior wall surface varies. Therefore, there is a demand for the ability to improve the design to suit a variety of sites.

The purpose of this disclosure is to provide remodeling fixtures that can be adapted to various sites and improve design.

The present disclosure relates to a remodeling fixture that is attached to an existing frame installed in an opening in a building, the remodeling fixture comprising a new frame that is assembled on all four sides, an attachment frame that is arranged between the new frame and the existing frame and that is assembled on all four sides, a first cover material that is attached to the attachment frame and has a front-facing extension portion that extends in the front-facing direction on the outside of the attachment frame, and a second cover material that is attached to the attachment frame and has a front-facing extension portion that extends in the front-facing direction on the outside of the attachment frame.

The following describes in detail an embodiment of the present disclosure with reference to the drawings. The remodeling fixture 1 according to this embodiment is a remodeling fixture 1 for renovation, which is formed by installing new members while leaving the existing frame 6 fixed to the building 100 attached to the building 100.

In this specification, "visible direction" refers to the face direction of the surface material of the shoji screen 10 in the remodeled fitting 1 placed in an opening formed in the wall of the building 100, and "prospect direction" refers to the thickness direction of the surface material (i.e., the depth direction). The "prospect direction" is also the indoor/outdoor direction. In the drawings, the outdoor side of the remodeled fitting 1 is the outdoor side X1, and the indoor side of the remodeled fitting 1 is the indoor side X2. The horizontal direction of the remodeled fitting 1 is referred to as the "left-right direction."

As shown in Figures 1 to 8, the renovated fixture 1 according to this embodiment is a renovated sash of a sliding window type that is fitted into an opening in a building 100. The renovated fixture 1 is attached to an existing frame 6 provided in the opening in the building 100.

As shown in Figures 1 to 8, the renovated fixture 1 comprises a new frame 2, an attachment frame 3 attached to the outer periphery of the new frame 2 and attached to the inside of the existing frame 6, interior decorative members 41, 42, 43, exterior front decorative covers 51, 52, 53 (first cover material), exterior side decorative cover 8 (second cover material), and shoji screens 10, 10 that are slidably fitted into the new frame 2. The existing frame 6 is provided at an opening in the building 100. The new frame 2 is attached to the inside of the existing frame 6 with the attachment frame 3 attached to the outer periphery. The attachment frame 3 is placed between the existing frame 6 and the new frame 2.

First, the configuration of the existing frame 6 will be described. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the existing frame 6 is provided inside the opening of the building 100 and is formed into a rectangular frame shape. The existing frame 6 includes an existing upper frame 61, an existing lower frame 62, and existing vertical frames 63 on the left and right.

As shown in FIG. 2, the existing upper frame 61 is attached to the upper side of the opening of the building 100, and has guide rails 611, 612 for the existing shoji screen that stand upright downward. The inside X2 portion of the existing upper frame 61 is fixed to the building 100 (structure).

The existing lower frame 62 is attached to the lower side of the opening of the building 100, and has guide rails 621, 622 for the existing shoji screen that stand upright. The inside X2 part of the existing lower frame 62 is fixed to the building 100 (structure).

As shown in FIG. 3, the existing vertical frames 63 are attached to the left and right vertical sides of the exterior side X1 of the opening of the building 100. The interior side X2 of the existing vertical frames 63 is fixed to the building 100 (structure).

As shown in FIG. 6, the new frame 2 is attached to the existing frame 6 with the attachment frame 3 attached to the outer periphery. The new frame 2 is constructed from four sides and is attached to the inner periphery of the existing frame 6 via the attachment frame 3.

The new frame 2 includes a new upper frame 21, a new lower frame 22, and left and right new vertical frames 23. When the new frame 2 is assembled on all four sides, it is fixed with screws at the parts where the new upper frame 21, the new lower frame 22, and the left and right new vertical frames 23 join together. The attachment frame 3 includes an upper attachment frame 31, a lower attachment frame 32, and left and right vertical attachment frames 33.

When the new frame 2, with the attachment frame 3 attached to its outer periphery, is attached to the existing frame 6, the new upper frame 21 is attached to the inner periphery of the existing upper frame 61, with the attachment upper frame 31 sandwiched between them, as shown in FIG. 2. The new upper frame 21 has guide rails 211, 212 on the upper side of the shoji screens 10, 10 that are erected downward.

When the new frame 2, with the attachment frame 3 attached to its outer periphery, is attached to the existing frame 6, the new lower frame 22 is attached to the inner periphery of the existing lower frame 62, with the attachment lower frame 32 sandwiched between them, as shown in FIG. 2. The new lower frame 22 has guide rails 221, 222 on the lower side of the shoji screens 10, 10 that are erected facing upward.

When the new frame 2, with the attachment frame 3 attached to its outer periphery, is attached to the existing frame 6, the new vertical frame 23 is attached to the inner periphery of the existing vertical frame 63, with the attachment vertical frame 33 sandwiched between them, as shown in Figure 3.

The new upper frame 21, the new lower frame 22, and the new vertical frame 23 are formed, for example, from a metal material or a resin material. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, resin angle members 213, 223, and 233 are provided on the interior side X2 of the new upper frame 21, the new lower frame 22, and the new vertical frame 23, respectively. The resin angle members 213, 223, and 233 are each positioned with a gap between them and the frame member 101.

The above-mentioned new frame 2 (new upper frame 21, new lower frame 22, and left and right new vertical frames 23) are attached to the inner circumference side of the existing frame 6 (existing upper frame 61, existing lower frame 62, and left and right existing vertical frames 63) with the attachment frame 3 (upper attachment frame 31, lower attachment frame 32, and left and right vertical attachment frames 33) arranged around the outer periphery, as shown in Figure 6.

The attachment frame 3 is attached to the outer periphery of the new frame 2 in a four-way configuration. The attachment frame 3 is attached to the inner periphery of the existing frame 6 with the attachment frame 3 attached to the outer periphery of the new frame 2 in a four-way configuration.

As shown in FIG. 6, the attachment frame 3 is configured by an upper attachment frame 31, a lower attachment frame 32, and a pair of vertical attachment frames 33 arranged on all four sides to form a rectangle. The upper attachment frame 31, the lower attachment frame 32, and the left and right vertical attachment frames 33 are each made of, for example, an aluminum material.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the upper attachment frame 31, the lower attachment frame 32, and the left and right vertical attachment frames 33 are each fixed to the building 100 (framework) by screws 36. If gaps are formed between the upper attachment frame 31, the lower attachment frame 32, and the left and right vertical attachment frames 33 and the frame member 101, spacer members 37 are placed between the upper attachment frame 31, the lower attachment frame 32, and the left and right vertical attachment frames 33 and the frame member 101. One example of the spacer members 37 is a thin plate-like member made of a resin material or the like.

The renovated fixture 1 also has an airtight structure 70, as shown in Figures 2 and 3. The airtight structure 70 is configured to connect the existing frame 6 side and the new frame 2 side with airtight tape (existing frame side airtight tape 71, connecting airtight tape 72) to the attachment frame 3 attached to the new frame 2. The airtight structure 70 is positioned to connect the existing frame 6 and the attachment frame 3 attached to the new frame 2 in order to improve the airtight performance between the existing frame 6 and the new frame 2.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the interior decorative members 41, 42, and 43 are attached to the interior X2 surfaces of the resin angle members 213, 223, and 233 of the new frame 2. The boundaries between the interior decorative members 41, 42, and 43 and the inner peripheral surface of the frame member 101 are shielded by a trim member 45 with an L-shaped cross section that is fixed to the building 100 (structure).

As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the exterior front decorative covers 51, 52, and 53 are composed of an upper horizontal decorative cover 51 (horizontal cover material) that extends horizontally at the upper side, a lower horizontal decorative cover 52 (horizontal cover material) that extends horizontally at the lower side, and a pair of vertical decorative covers 53 (vertical cover materials) that extend in the vertical direction.

The upper horizontal decorative cover 51, the lower horizontal decorative cover 52, and the vertical decorative cover 53 are respectively attached to the surface of the exterior side X1 of the attachment upper frame 31, the attachment lower frame 32, and the attachment vertical frame 33. As a result, the upper horizontal decorative cover 51, the lower horizontal decorative cover 52, and the vertical decorative cover 53 cover the unevenness of the exterior side X1 of the attachment upper frame 31, the attachment lower frame 32, and the attachment vertical frame 33, respectively, and the flat surface of the exterior side X1 of the exterior front decorative covers 51, 52, and 53 is exposed to the exterior side X1, improving the design.

The structure around the area where the vertical decorative cover 53 is attached will be further explained. Depending on how the vertical decorative cover 53 fits into the building 100, the existing vertical frame 63 may be visible from the side of the area where the vertical decorative cover 53 is attached. In addition, the thickness of the walls varies depending on the site, so the degree to which the existing vertical frame 63 is visible also varies.

In contrast, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 9, a vertical decorative cover 53 is attached to the vertical attachment frame 33 on the exterior side X1 so as to cover the surface of the vertical attachment frame 33 facing the exterior side X1, and an exterior side decorative cover 8 is attached to cover the side of the existing vertical frame 63. The exterior side decorative cover 8 is attached to the vertical attachment frame 33 so as to cover the side of the existing vertical frame 63 from the outside in the left-right direction of the vertical attachment frame 33 to which the vertical decorative cover 53 is attached.

First, the configuration of the vertical attachment frame 33 and the vertical decorative cover 53 arranged around the exterior side decorative cover 8 will be described. As shown in FIG. 9, the vertical attachment frame 33 has a vertical attachment frame hollow portion 331 (hollow portion), an exterior left-right extending plate portion 332, and a pair of engagement protrusions 333.

The attachment vertical frame hollow section 331 is formed as a hollow elongated rectangle extending in the indoor/outdoor direction.

The pair of engagement protrusions 333 are spaced apart on the left and right and protrude from the surface of the outer side X1 of the attachment vertical frame hollow portion 331 toward the outer side X1. The pair of engagement protrusions 333 are engaged with and attached to the pair of engagement protrusions 532 of the vertical decorative cover 53.

The exterior left-right extending plate portion 332 is formed in a plate shape that extends outward in the left-right direction from the middle of the outer left-right engaging protrusion 333 in the indoor/outdoor direction of the pair of engaging protrusions 333. The exterior left-right extending plate portion 332 is disposed at the end of the exterior side X1 of the attachment vertical frame 33 and extends in the left-right direction (viewing direction). The mounting plate portion 81 (described later) of the exterior side decorative cover 8 is fixed to the exterior left-right extending plate portion 332 with screws 83.

As shown in FIG. 9, the vertical decorative cover 53 has a facing direction extending plate 531 (facing direction extending portion), a pair of engaging projections 532, and a protruding piece 533.

The facing direction extension plate 531 has a width in the left-right direction and is formed as a plate extending in an elongated shape along the longitudinal direction of the attachment vertical frame 33. The facing direction extension plate 531 is arranged so as to cover the surface of the exterior side X1 of the attachment vertical frame 33. The facing direction extension plate 531 is arranged on the exterior side X1 of the exterior side left-right direction extension plate portion 332 of the attachment vertical frame 33 so as to cover the exterior side left-right direction extension plate portion 332. The facing direction extension plate 531 has a surface facing the exterior side X1.

The pair of engagement protrusions 532 are arranged on the left and right of the front-direction extension plate 531 on the side where the shoji screen 10 is arranged in the left-right direction, and protrude from the surface of the front-direction extension plate 531 on the interior side X2 toward the interior side X2. The pair of engagement protrusions 532 are engaged with and attached to the pair of engagement protrusions 333 of the attachment vertical frame 33.

The protruding piece 533 protrudes from the end of the front-direction extension plate 531 on the left-right side opposite the side on which the shoji screen 10 is placed, toward the inside of the room X2.

Next, the configuration of the exterior side decorative cover 8 that is attached to the vertical attachment frame 33 will be described. The exterior side decorative cover 8 is made of general-purpose parts, rather than parts dedicated to the renovated fitting 1, so that it can be used at various sites. There are multiple types of general-purpose parts in various shapes that are prepared in advance as parts for covering gaps or components that arise due to circumstances at various sites.

In this embodiment, the exterior side decorative cover 8 is selected from multiple types of general-purpose parts prepared in advance and is formed with an L-shaped cross section. The exterior side decorative cover 8 has an attachment plate portion 81 (attachment portion) and a shielding plate portion 82 (extension portion in the prospective direction).

The mounting plate portion 81 is formed in a plate shape, has a width in the left-right direction, and extends in the up-down direction. The mounting plate portion 81 is fixed to the exterior left-right extending plate portion 332 of the attachment vertical frame 33 with screws 83. When the mounting plate portion 81 is fixed to the exterior left-right extending plate portion 332 with the screws 83, the entire exterior side X1 of the mounting plate portion 81 and the screws 83 that fix the mounting plate portion 81 of the exterior side decorative cover 8 are covered by the vertical decorative cover 53. Since the exterior side X1 of the exterior side decorative cover 8 is covered by the vertical decorative cover 53, there is no loss of design due to the attachment of the exterior side decorative cover 8.

The shielding plate portion 82 extends from the outer end of the mounting plate portion 81 in the left-right direction toward the indoor side X2. The shielding plate portion 82 is positioned to cover the sides of the existing vertical frame 63 and the attachment vertical frame 33 so that the existing vertical frame 63 and the attachment vertical frame 33 cannot be seen from the outside in the left-right direction. The shielding plate portion 82 is formed in a plate shape, has a width in the indoor-outdoor direction (projection direction), and extends in the vertical direction. The shielding plate portion 82 is formed to extend from the building 100 to the outdoor-side front decorative cover 53 in the indoor-outdoor direction.

The procedure for attaching the exterior side decorative cover 8 and the vertical decorative cover 53 to the vertical attachment frame 33 will be described below. First, the exterior side decorative cover 8 is selected from multiple types of general-purpose parts prepared in advance to correspond to the thickness of the wall, etc., depending on the various construction sites.

Then, using the selected general-purpose outdoor side decorative cover 8, the mounting plate portion 81 of the outdoor side decorative cover 8 is fixed to the outdoor side left-right extending plate portion 332 of the vertical attachment frame 33 at the site with screws 83. This allows the shielding plate portion 82 of the outdoor side decorative cover 8 to cover the sides of the existing vertical frame 63 and the vertical attachment frame 33 so that it cannot be seen from the outside in the left-right direction of the existing vertical frame 63 and the vertical attachment frame 33.

Next, the vertical decorative cover 53 is attached to the vertical attachment frame 33 by engaging the pair of engagement projections 532 of the vertical decorative cover 53 with the pair of engagement projections 333 of the vertical attachment frame 33. This allows the vertical decorative cover 53 to cover the exterior X1 surface of the vertical attachment frame 33, the mounting plate portion 81 of the exterior side decorative cover 8 arranged on the exterior X1 surface of the vertical attachment frame 33, and the screws 83 that secure the mounting plate portion 81 of the exterior side decorative cover 8 so that they are not exposed to the exterior X1. Since the exterior X1 of the exterior side decorative cover 8 is covered by the vertical decorative cover 53, there is no loss of design due to the attachment of the exterior side decorative cover 8.

According to this embodiment, the following effects are achieved. The renovated fixture 1 of this embodiment is equipped with a new frame 2 that is attached to an existing frame 6 provided at an opening of the building 100 and is configured around all four sides, an attachment frame 3 that is arranged between the new frame 2 and the existing frame 6 and is configured around all four sides, an exterior front decorative cover 53 that is attached to the attachment frame 3 and has a front-facing extension portion 531 that extends in the front direction on the exterior side X1 of the attachment frame 3, and an exterior side decorative cover 8 that is attached to the attachment frame 3 and has a front-facing extension portion 82 that extends in the front direction on the exterior side X1 of the attachment frame 3.

As a result, the visible direction extension plate 531 of the exterior front decorative cover 53 is positioned to cover the exterior X1 surface of the attachment vertical frame 33. In addition, the shielding plate portion 82 of the exterior side decorative cover 8 is positioned to cover the side of the existing vertical frame 63 and the attachment vertical frame 33 so that the existing vertical frame 63 and the attachment vertical frame 33 are not visible from the outside sides in the left and right direction. This allows for improved design to be adapted to a variety of work sites.

In addition, in this embodiment, the exterior side decorative cover 8 has a mounting plate portion 81 that extends in the viewing direction, and the mounting plate portion 81 is fixed to the attachment frame 3 with screws 83, and the exterior front decorative cover 53 is positioned so as to cover the screws 83 that fix the mounting plate portion 81 to the attachment frame 3. This makes it possible to cover the screws 83 that fix the exterior side decorative cover 8, thereby improving the design.

In addition, in this embodiment, the exterior side decorative cover 8 is formed with an L-shaped cross section. This allows the exterior side decorative cover 8 to have a simple configuration. Therefore, the exterior side decorative cover 8 is easy to handle and can be easily attached to the attachment frame 3.

In addition, in this embodiment, the exterior side decorative cover 8 is selected from multiple types of general-purpose parts that are prepared in advance. This allows it to be used in a variety of locations without the need to prepare dedicated parts.

Although a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure has been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment and can be modified as appropriate.

For example, in the above embodiment, a general-purpose part with an L-shaped cross section is used as the exterior side decorative cover 8, but this is not limited to this. For example, the exterior side decorative cover that covers the sides of the existing vertical frame 63 and the attachment vertical frame 33 may be configured using a general-purpose part such as a part with a crank-shaped cross section, a part with a U-shaped cross section, a plate part with a straight cross section, or a hollow part.

In the above embodiment, the renovated fitting 1 is described as being applied to a renovated sash of a sliding window type. However, this is not limited to this. The renovated fitting may be applied, for example, to an opening and closing type renovated fitting in which the door rotates around a rotation axis to open and close, or a vertical sliding type renovated fitting. The renovated fitting may also be applied, for example, to a fixed type renovated fitting in which the glass is attached without being opened or closed relative to the frame.
