Description

The present invention relates to lip cosmetics, and in particular to oil-in-water lip cosmetics that have excellent secondary adhesion resistance and excellent gloss durability.

Conventionally, lip cosmetics have had the problem of secondary adhesion, in which the cosmetic is transferred to the lips when the lips come into contact with a cup or the like after application of the cosmetic, and lip cosmetics that are less likely to cause secondary adhesion, so-called secondary adhesion-resistant effects, have been developed.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a solid cosmetic preparation having transfer resistance in which a silicone surfactant is combined with a volatile oil to provide a well-dispersed pigment.
In addition, Patent Document 2 describes a lipstick composition having transfer resistance that contains a non-volatile oil of a perfluoropolyether type that is incompatible with a volatile oil, but this lipstick composition has a problem in that it takes some time for the secondary adhesion-free effect to be exhibited after application.

The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned conventional techniques, and the problem to be solved is to provide an oil-in-water type lip cosmetic that has an excellent secondary adhesion-free effect, is excellent in glossiness, and has a fresh feeling.

As a result of intensive research by the inventors to solve this problem, they discovered that by combining a dimethyl silicone oil of a specific viscosity with a non-silicone surfactant, it is possible to obtain an oil-in-water type lip cosmetic that not only has a secondary adhesion-free effect but also has an excellent glossy feel, and thus completed the present invention.

That is, the oil-in-water lip cosmetic composition according to the present invention includes the following:
The composition is characterized in that it contains (A) a dimethyl silicone oil having a viscosity of 3,000 CS or more, (B) a non-silicone surfactant having an HLB of 12 or more, (C) an aqueous thickener, and (D) water, and the respective blend amounts of (A) are 20 to 40 mass%, (B) 1 to 4 mass%, (C) 0.01 to 5 mass%, and (D) 25 to 70 mass%.
The surfactant contained is preferably one or more selected from the group consisting of polysorbate-based surfactants, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-based surfactants, surfactants synthesized from a copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and a higher alcohol, monoacylglycerol, and diacylglycerol.
Furthermore, the oil-in-water lip cosmetic composition according to the present application may contain 0.01 to 1.5% by mass of an aqueous dye (E).

The oil-in-water lip cosmetic of the present invention is a lip cosmetic that exhibits a secondary adhesion-free effect immediately after application and has excellent glossiness, by blending specific amounts of (A) dimethyl silicone oil with a viscosity of 3000 CS or more, (B) a non-silicone surfactant with an HLB of 12 or more, (C) a water-based thickener, and (D) water.

The lip cosmetic of the present invention is composed of (A) a dimethyl silicone oil having a viscosity of 3000 CS or more, (B) a non-silicone surfactant having an HLB of 12 or more, (C) an aqueous thickener, and (D) water.
Each component will be described in detail below.

(A) Dimethyl silicone oil with a viscosity of 3000 CS or more Component (A) is a dimethyl silicone oil with a viscosity of 3000 CS or more. Component (A) has low affinity with lips, so when applied to the lips, it becomes the outermost phase, and when component (A) adheres to a cup, the color does not adhere to the cup, so that it exerts the so-called "secondary adhesion-free effect". The viscosity of component (A) is preferably 3000 CS or more. In addition, even if it is a mixture of dimethyl silicone oils with different viscosities, it can be used as long as the final viscosity is 3000 CS or more. If the viscosity is less than 30,000 CS, it may be difficult to achieve a glossy feel.
Specific examples of component (A) include dimethicone 5000CS, dimethicone 6000CS, dimethicone 10000CS, dimethicone 12500CS, dimethicone 30000CS, dimethicone 50000CS, and the like. Commercially available products include KF-96A-5000cs, KF-96H-6000cs, KF-96H-10,000cs, KF-96H-12,500cs, KF-96H-30,000cs, KF-96H-50,000cs (all manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), and the like.

The blending amount of component (A) is preferably 20 to 35% by mass of the total cosmetic. If the blending amount is less than 20% by mass, it will not separate upon application and will not exhibit the secondary adhesion prevention effect. If the blending amount exceeds 35% by mass, it may spread poorly and feel poor when used.

(B) Non-silicone surfactant with HLB of 12 or more The component (B) contains a non-silicone surfactant with HLB of 12 or more. The surfactant has an HLB of 12 or more, so it dissolves in water and an oil-in-water composition is obtained. Furthermore, the reason for using a non-silicone surfactant is that when the aqueous dye (E) is mixed with the silicone oil (A), the secondary adhesion-free effect cannot be obtained.
Examples of non-silicone surfactants having an HLB of 12 or more include ceteth-20, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, beheneth-20, and PEG-20 glyceryl isostearate.
Commercially available products include NIKKOL BC-20, NIKKOL HCO-60, and NIKKOL BB-20 (all manufactured by Nikko Chemicals Co., Ltd.), EMALEX GWIS-120 (manufactured by Nippon Emulsion Co., Ltd.), and the like.
In particular, it is preferable to use one selected from polysorbate-based surfactants, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-based surfactants, surfactants synthesized from a copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and a higher alcohol, monoacylglycerol, and diacylglycerol.
The component (B) blended in the lip cosmetic of the present invention may be one type or two or more types.

The blending amount of component (B) is preferably 1 to 4% by mass based on the total cosmetic composition. If the blending amount is less than 1% by mass, the effect may not be exhibited, and if it exceeds 4% by mass, the secondary adhesion prevention effect may decrease.

(C) Water-Based Thickener In the present application, a water-based thickener can be included as component (C). By incorporating a water-based thickener, the composition becomes thicker, improving the feel when applied. In addition, the inclusion of component (C) is preferable in that the emulsion is stabilized. Examples of component (C) include (dimethylacrylamide/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate) crosspolymer, (acrylates/alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymer, (hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate) copolymer, and the like.
Among them, an aqueous thickener made of an acrylic acid-based polymer is preferable. An example of a commercially available product is SIMULGELNS (manufactured by SEPPIC S.A.).

When component (C) is included, it is preferably 0.01 to 5% by mass based on the total amount of the lip cosmetic. If the amount is less than 0.01% by mass, it may not contribute to the stability of the emulsion, and if the amount is more than 5% by mass, it may spread too easily and feel uncomfortable when used.

(D) Water The oil-in-water lip cosmetic according to the present invention contains water. The water is not particularly limited, and may be ion-exchanged water, tap water, or the like.
The amount of water (D) is preferably 25 to 70% by mass based on the total amount of the oil-in-water lip cosmetic. If the amount is less than 25% by mass, the smoothness during use may be impaired, and if it exceeds 70% by mass, the amounts of other ingredients may be relatively reduced and the effect may not be obtained.

The oil-in-water lip cosmetic of the present invention may further contain an aqueous dye (E). The aqueous dye is used in the oil-in-water lip cosmetic of the present invention because the pigment penetrates into the lips and gives off a color, rather than being in the form of a cosmetic applied to the lips, and thus a secondary adhesion-free effect is obtained.
Examples of the component (E) include Acid Fuchsin, Yellow No. 4, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Red 227, Green 3, Red 401, Red 504, Orange 205, Yellow 203, Green 201, Purple 201, Purple 401, Black 401, Yellow 205, and the like.
Commercially available products include UNICERT Yellow 08006-J (manufactured by Sensient Technologies Japan), FD&C Green No. 3 (manufactured by Sensient Technologies Japan), etc.

When component (E) is blended, the blending amount is preferably 0.01 to 1.5% by mass based on the total amount of the cosmetic. If it is less than 0.01% by mass, the water-based dye will not be effective, and if it exceeds 1.5% by mass, the cosmetic may become difficult to remove.

In addition to the above-mentioned components, the oil-in-water lip cosmetic of the present invention can also contain other oils, powders, polymeric compounds, moisturizers, fragrances, antioxidants, preservatives, beauty ingredients, etc. that are used in ordinary lip cosmetics, as long as they do not impair the effects of the present invention.

The oil-in-water lip cosmetic of the present invention can be used as a lip gloss, a lip base for foundation, an overcoat for lipstick, a lip balm, etc. Overcoats are particularly preferred.

The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The blend amounts are shown in mass % unless otherwise specified.
The evaluations in the examples were carried out as follows.

(1) Appearance (method of evaluating appearance)
The uniformity of the appearance of the sample after preparation was evaluated on a scale of one to five based on the following criteria. The average score was used to determine the evaluation criteria.

(2) Secondary adhesion resistance (method for evaluating secondary adhesion resistance)
A practical usability test was conducted by a panel of 10 experts. The secondary adhesion-free effect when the sample was applied to the lips was evaluated on a 5-point scale based on the following rating scale. The average score was used to evaluate the product according to the following rating scale.

(3) Gloss (method of evaluating gloss)
A practical usability test was conducted by a panel of 10 experts. The glossy feeling when the sample was applied to the lips was evaluated on a three-level scale based on the following criteria. The average score was used to judge the results according to the following criteria.

(4) Fit (Method of evaluating fit)
A practical usability test was conducted by a panel of 10 experts. The fit of the sample when applied to the lips was evaluated on a three-level scale based on the following criteria. The average score was used to evaluate the product according to the following criteria.

First, the inventors investigated the viscosity of (A) dimethyl silicone oil. The results are shown in Table 1.

As can be seen from Table 1, when the dimethyl silicone oil was 3000 CS or more, oil-in-water lip cosmetics with good appearance and usability were obtained (Test Examples 1-1 and 1-2). However, when the dimethyl silicone oil was 100 CS (Test Example 1-3), no gloss was obtained.

Next, the inventors investigated the amount and viscosity of the dimethyl silicone oil to be added. The results are shown in Table 2.

As can be seen from Table 2, when the dimethyl silicone oil was 5,000cs, both the appearance and the feeling of use were good at 28% by mass to 40% by mass (Test Examples 1-1, 2-2, 2-3). When the dimethyl silicone exceeded 50,000cs, a uniform appearance, secondary adhesion resistance, and glossy cosmetic product were obtained, but the product became sticky after application and the feeling of use became poor (Test Example 2-6).

The inventors investigated the types of water-based thickeners that can be used. The results are shown in Table 3.

As can be seen from Table 3, the aqueous thickener made of acrylic acid polymer provided a good appearance and feel when used (Test Example 1-1), but the secondary adhesion-free effect was somewhat inferior when using aqueous thickeners other than acrylic acid polymer (Test Example 3-1).

The inventors further compared the oil-in-water lip cosmetics obtained when an aqueous dye (E) was added and when a coloring material was added. The results are shown in Table 4.

As can be seen from Table 4, when an oil-dispersible coloring material was added to the oil-in-water lip cosmetic composition according to the present invention, the appearance became non-uniform and the secondary adhesion prevention effect was not obtained (Test Example 4-1).

Claims (3)

The oil-in-water type lip cosmetic is characterized in that it contains the following components (A) to (D):
(A) Dimethyl silicone oil having a viscosity of 3,000 CS to 30,000 CS: 20 to 40% by mass
(B) Non-silicone surfactant with HLB of 12 or more: 1 to 4% by mass
(C) Water-based thickener 0.01 to 5% by mass
(D) Water 25-70% by mass The oil-in-water lip cosmetic according to claim 1, characterized in that the surfactant contained therein is one or more selected from polysorbate-based surfactants, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-based surfactants, surfactants synthesized from a copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and a higher alcohol, monoacylglycerol, and diacylglycerol. 3. The oil-in-water lip cosmetic according to claim 1 , further comprising an aqueous dye (E) in an amount of 0.01 to 1.5% by mass.
