Description
本願は、そのそれぞれの全体が、参照することによって本明細書に組み込まれる、2017年8月17日に出願された米国仮出願第62/546,817号の優先権の利益を主張する、2018年8月15日に出願された米国非仮出願第(係属中)号の優先権の利益を主張する。
本開示の実施形態は、栄養調合物を調製および/または補給するためのデバイスおよび方法を対象とし、より具体的には、栄養調合物に脂質源からの加水分解された脂質を補給するためのデバイスおよび方法を対象とする。
早産児は、多くの場合、未熟胃腸(GI)系を持って生まれる。その結果、早産児は、適切な栄養を受容するように、1つ以上の栄養調合物内に提供され得る、そのGI系が消化するための具体的形態の栄養素を要求し得る。早産児は、多くの場合、生後数時間以内に、非経口栄養(PN)を与えられる。PNを介した少量の栄養が、乳児のGI系に呼び水が差され始める間に投与され得る。乳児が、より大きい体積に耐え始めるにつれて、PNから離脱され、概して、例えば、母親自身の母乳(MoM)、ドナー母親の母乳(DM)、乳児用調合物(IF)、および/または付加的栄養強化剤を含む、1つ以上の栄養調合物から成る、経口または経腸給送に遷移され得る。排他的にMoMを使用することが好ましくあり得るが、しかしながら、母親は、最適成長および発達のために要求される1日のカロリーを提供するために、十分な母乳を供給不可能である場合がある。本欠陥を補うために、MoMは、例えば、収集、濾過、および/または熱低温殺菌され得る、DMを補給され得る。いくつかの事例では、乳児用調合物を使用することは、あまり好ましくない場合があるが、MoMおよびDMは、本質的に低カロリーであり得る。加えて、ヒト母乳バンクの数は、世界的に急増しつつあるが、あまり調整されておらず、それらが提供する母乳のカロリーおよび栄養素含有量は、著しく変動し得る。
本開示の例示的実施形態は、脂質源と、容器の出口に流動的に接続される、チャンバとを含有するように構成される、容器を有する、デバイスを対象とし得る。チャンバは、容器からチャンバの中に解放されると、それに沿って脂質が流動する、チャンバ内の流路内に位置付けられる、不動化されたリパーゼを含有してもよい。デバイスはまた、チャンバを通して通過後、それを通して脂質が流動する、出口を含んでもよい。

前記コネクタと前記出口との間に位置するインターフェースをさらに備え、前記インターフェースを通して、前記脂質が、前記出口から前記コネクタの中に流動する、項目5に記載のデバイス。

前記容器内に含有される脂質源をさらに備える、項目1に記載のデバイス。

前記チャンバに結合される出力アセンブリと、
前記容器内の開口部から、前記チャンバを通して、および前記出力アセンブリを通して延在する流路であって、前記容器から解放されると、前記流路に沿って脂質が前記デバイスを通して流動する、流路と、
前記チャンバ内に含有され、前記流路内に位置する不動化されたリパーゼであって、前記リパーゼは、前記脂質が前記チャンバを通して流動するにつれて、前記脂質を加水分解するように構成される、リパーゼと
を備える、デバイス。

前記容器は、1つのみの開口部を含む、項目10に記載のデバイス。
(項目12)
前記容器は、圧縮性である、項目10に記載のデバイス。

前記出力アセンブリは、第1の端部と、第2の端部とを有し、前記第1の端部は、前記チャンバに結合され、前記第1の端部は、前記第2の端部の幅を上回る幅を有する、項目10に記載のデバイス。

前記出力アセンブリは、第1の端部と、第2の端部とを有し、前記第1の端部は、前記チャンバに結合され、前記第2の端部は、前記脂質が前記容器内に含有されるときにシールによって被覆され、前記脂質が前記流路に沿って流動するときに前記シールによって被覆されない開口部を有する、項目10に記載のデバイス。

前記脂質は、2つ以上の異なるタイプの脂質を含む、項目10に記載のデバイス。
(項目16)
栄養調合物に加水分解された脂質を補給する方法であって、前記方法は、
前記脂質をチャンバ内のリパーゼに暴露させることによって前記脂質を加水分解するために、デバイス内に貯蔵される脂質源を、不動化されたリパーゼを含有する前記デバイスのチャンバを通して通過させることと、
前記加水分解された脂質を前記デバイスのチャンバから出力することと、
前記加水分解された脂質を前記栄養調合物に添加することと
を含む、方法。
(項目17)
前記栄養調合物は、前記加水分解された脂質が前記栄養調合物に添加されるにつれて、前記デバイスを越えて流動される、項目16に記載の方法。
(項目18)
前記脂質を前記チャンバを通して通過させることに先立って、前記脂質源を調製することをさらに含む、項目16に記載の方法。
(項目19)
前記脂質源を調製することは、少なくとも2つの異なるタイプの脂質をともに混合することを含む、項目18に記載の方法。

前記脂質源は、前記チャンバを通して通過されることに先立って、前記デバイスの容器内に貯蔵され、前記方法はさらに、前記脂質源を前記チャンバを通して通過させることに先立って、前記容器を前記デバイスに取り付けることを含む、項目16に記載の方法。

(項目22)
前記加水分解された脂質が前記栄養調合物に添加された後、前記栄養調合物を対象に給送することをさらに含む、項目21に記載の方法。
(項目23)
前記加水分解された脂質を前記栄養調合物に添加することは、前記加水分解された脂質を前記デバイスから前記栄養調合物を含有する容器の中に出力することを含む、項目16に記載の方法。

Claims (15)
- 栄養調合物に、加水分解された脂質を補給する方法であって、前記方法は、
デバイスの容器内に貯蔵される脂質の源を、不動化されたリパーゼを含有する前記デバイスのチャンバを通して、前記脂質を前記チャンバ内の前記リパーゼに暴露させることによって前記脂質を加水分解するために、通過させることと、
前記加水分解された脂質を前記デバイスの前記チャンバから出力することと、
前記加水分解された脂質を前記栄養調合物に添加することと
を含み、
前記栄養調合物は、前記加水分解された脂質が前記栄養調合物に添加されるにつれて、前記デバイスを越えて流動される、方法。 - 前記脂質を前記チャンバを通して通過させることに先立って、前記デバイスの前記容器内の貯蔵のために前記脂質の源を調製することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記脂質の源を調製することは、少なくとも2つの異なるタイプの脂質をともに混合することを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記方法はさらに、前記脂質の源を前記チャンバを通して通過させることに先立って、前記容器を前記デバイスに取り付けることを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記脂質の源を前記チャンバを通して通過させることに先立って、前記デバイスを給送システムに取り付けることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記栄養調合物は、前記加水分解された脂質が前記栄養調合物に添加された後に、対象に給送する準備ができている、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記加水分解された脂質を前記栄養調合物に添加することは、前記加水分解された脂質を前記デバイスから前記栄養調合物を含有するコンテナの中に出力することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記脂質の源は、前記デバイスの少なくとも一部への圧力の印加に応答して、前記チャンバを通して通過させられる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 摂取に先立って、加水分解された脂質を液体に添加する方法であって、前記方法は、
デバイスの容器内に貯蔵される流動可能な脂質の源を、前記容器から外へ、リパーゼを含有する前記デバイスのチャンバを通して、前記流動可能な脂質を前記チャンバ内の前記リパーゼに暴露させることによって前記流動可能な脂質を加水分解するために、流動させることと、
前記加水分解された脂質を前記デバイスの前記チャンバから前記液体の中に、前記液体の摂取に先立って、出力することと
を含む、方法。 - 前記流動可能な脂質を前記チャンバを通して流動させることに先立って、前記容器を前記流動可能な脂質の源で充填することをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記流動可能な脂質を前記チャンバを通して通過させることに先立って、前記デバイスを給送システムに取り付けることをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記給送システムは、栄養調合物を保持するコンテナまたは注射器である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記容器を前記デバイスから取り外すことと、前記容器を前記流動可能な脂質の源で再充填することと、前記容器を前記デバイスに再取り付けすることとをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記流動可能な脂質は、2つ以上の異なるタイプの脂質を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記液体を、前記加水分解された脂質が前記液体の中に出力されるにつれて、前記デバイスを越えて流動させることをさらに含む、請求項9~14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
