Description

Claims (15)
- ヘッドマウントデバイスであって、
ヘッドマウント支持構造と、
前記ヘッドマウント支持構造内のディスプレイユニットと、
前記ディスプレイユニットから光を受信し、光学システムから前記光が出射するように方向転換する光学システムであって、前記光学システムは、入力カプラ、出力カプラ、及び光を第1の方向に沿って伝搬させる導波路を含み、前記入力カプラは、前記ディスプレイユニットから受信された前記光を、前記導波路内で前記第1の方向に沿って前記出力カプラに向けて伝搬するように方向転換し、前記出力カプラは、前記導波路内を伝搬してきた前記光を前記光学システムから出射するように方向転換する、前記光学システムと、
回折により光の方向を転換することを介して光の進路を変更する回折光方向転換素子であって、前記回折光方向転換素子により進路が変更される光は、前記回折光方向転換素子へ入射する光の一部のみであるとともに、前記一部の光を第2の方向に沿って伝搬させる回折光方向転換素子と、を備え、
前記進路の変更は、前記一部の光を、前記回折光方向転換素子により視野に向けるものであり、前記入力カプラ及び前記出力カプラは、前記導波路の同一側面上に配置されている、ヘッドマウントデバイス。 - 前記回折光方向転換素子は、前記ディスプレイユニットと前記光学システムとの間に介在されており、前記光学システムの前記導波路は、第1の導波路であり、前記回折光方向転換素子は、前記第1の導波路とは異なる第2の導波路を含み、前記第2の導波路は、前記第2の方向に沿って前記一部の光を伝搬させる、請求項1に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記入力カプラ及び前記出力カプラの各々は、ホログラフィック光学素子を含む、請求項2に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記入力カプラは、前記回折光方向転換素子から前記光を受信し、前記光を前記出力カプラに向けて方向転換する、請求項2に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記出力カプラは、前記入力カプラから前記光を受信し、前記光を前記光学システムから出射するように方向転換する、請求項4に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記回折光方向転換素子が、前記第2の導波路に、付加的な入力カプラ及び付加的な出力カプラを備える、請求項2に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記付加的な入力カプラ及び前記付加的な出力カプラの各々は、ホログラフィック光学素子を含む、請求項6に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記付加的な入力カプラは、前記ディスプレイユニットから前記光を受信し、前記光を前記付加的な出力カプラに向けて方向転換する、請求項6に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記付加的な出力カプラは、前記付加的な入力カプラから前記光を受信し、前記光を前記入力カプラに向けて方向転換する、請求項8に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記第1の方向は、前記第2の方向に対して垂直である、請求項2に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記回折光方向転換素子は、前記導波路に付加的な入力カプラ及び付加的な出力カプラを含み、前記付加的な入力カプラは前記光を前記入力カプラから受信し、前記出力カプラは前記光を前記付加的な出力カプラから受信する、請求項1に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記入力カプラ、前記付加的な入力カプラ、前記出力カプラ及び前記付加的な出力カプラの各々は、ホログラフィック光学素子を備える、請求項11に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記導波路は、前記入力カプラから前記付加的な入力カプラへ前記第1の方向に沿って光を伝搬させ、前記導波路は、前記付加的な入力カプラから前記付加的な出力カプラへ前記第2の方向に沿って光を伝搬させる、請求項11に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記第1の方向は、前記第2の方向に対して垂直である、請求項13に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
- 前記入力カプラは、前記出力カプラよりも小さい寸法を有する、請求項11に記載のヘッドマウントデバイス。
