Description
図1は本実施形態にかかる磁気インク読取装置50が組み込まれたプリンタ10の概略構成を示す説明図である。プリンタ10は、例えば銀行等のATMや商店・倉庫等のPOS(Point Of Sales)端末に組み込まれている。図中Pは手形や小切手、商品券等のシート状の媒体、Kは媒体Pの搬送経路を示している。媒体Pは、シート状の媒体本体Paを有している。この媒体本体Pa上には、通常のインクによって文字Pb、磁気インクによってMICR文字Pcがそれぞれ印刷されている(図6参照)。
Claims (5)
- 磁気インクを用いて印刷されたシート状の媒体を搬送経路に沿って搬送する搬送機構と、
前記搬送経路上の前記媒体の前記磁気インクに着磁させる着磁機構と、
前記搬送経路に沿った前記着磁機構の近傍に配置され、着磁された前記磁気インクの磁気を読み取る磁気検出ヘッドと、
を具備し、
前記着磁機構は、
前記媒体の一方の面に一方の極性面を対向させて前記媒体が前記搬送機構にて搬送される際に、前記媒体の一方の面の位置に一方の極性面を対向するように配置させたマグネットと、
軟磁性材料で形成され、前記マグネットの他方の極性面に直接取り付けられたベース部、前記ベース部から前記搬送経路を跨いで前記媒体の他方の面側まで延長されて設けられた延設部、及び、前記延設部から前記媒体を挟んで、前記マグネットの一方の極性面に対向させて前記媒体が前記搬送機構にて搬送される際に、前記媒体の他方の面の位置に他方の極性面を対向させる対向部を有するヨーク部材と、
を備え、
前記媒体の一方の面と前記一方の極性面との距離よりも、前記媒体の他方の面と対向部との距離が大きく形成されている磁気インク読取装置。 - 前記軟磁性材料は、電気亜鉛メッキ鋼である請求項1記載の磁気インク読取装置。
- 前記軟磁性材料は、パーマロイである請求項1記載の磁気インク読取装置。
- 前記ヨーク部材及び前記マグネットは、少なくともその一部が樹脂材で形成されている請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の磁気インク読取装置。
- 磁気インクを用いて印刷されたシート状の媒体を搬送経路に沿って搬送する搬送機構と、
前記搬送経路上の前記媒体の前記磁気インクに着磁させる着磁機構と、
この着磁機構の前記搬送経路における搬送方向下流側近傍に配置され、着磁された前記磁気インクの磁気を読み取る磁気検出ヘッドと、
前記搬送経路上に配置され、前記媒体に印刷する印刷機構と、
を具備し、
前記着磁機構は、
前記媒体の一方の面に一方の極性面を対向させて前記媒体が前記搬送機構にて搬送される際に、前記媒体の一方の面の位置に一方の極性面を対向するように配置させたマグネットと、
軟磁性材料で形成され、前記マグネットの他方の極性面に直接取り付けられたベース部、前記ベース部から前記搬送経路を跨いで前記媒体の他方の面側まで延長されて設けられた延設部、及び、前記延設部から前記媒体を挟んで、前記マグネットの一方の極性面に対向させて前記媒体が前記搬送機構にて搬送される際に、前記媒体の他方の面の位置に他方の極性面を対向させる対向部を有するヨーク部材と、
を備え、
前記媒体の一方の面と前記一方の極性面との距離よりも、前記媒体の他方の面と対向部との距離が大きく形成されているプリンタ。
