Description
ミュオンを用いて巨大物体の内部イメージを観測するミュオグラフィ観測システムに用いられるミュオン検出装置であって、
扁平面に等間隔に配列した複数のワイヤーによりミュオンを検出する複数のガス検出器と、
ステンレス製のケースに鉛の板材を収納してなる放射線シールドと、
所定間隔で扁平面が平行になるように配置されて前記複数のガス検出器の各々を着脱可能な複数の検出器用ソケットと、前記検出器用ソケットの間に配置されて前記放射線シールドを着脱可能なシールド用ソケットと、を有する設置器と、
を備えることを要旨とする。
Claims (4)
- ミュオンを用いて物体の内部イメージを観測するミュオグラフィ観測システムに用いられるミュオン検出装置であって、
扁平面に等間隔に配列した複数のワイヤーによりミュオンを検出する複数のガス検出器と、
ステンレス製のケースに鉛の板材を収納してなる放射線シールドと、
所定間隔で扁平面が平行になるように配置されて前記複数のガス検出器の各々を着脱可能な複数の検出器用ソケットと、前記検出器用ソケットの間に配置されて前記放射線シールドを着脱可能なシールド用ソケットと、を有する設置器と、
を備えるミュオン検出装置。 - 請求項1記載のミュオン検出装置であって、
前記放射線シールドは、複数であり、
前記設置器は、各検出器用ソケットの間に前記シールド用ソケットを有する、
ミュオン検出装置。 - 請求項1または2記載のミュオン検出装置であって、
前記設置器は、前記検出器用ソケットおよび/または前記シールド用ソケットを昇降可能な昇降手段を備える、
ミュオン検出装置。 - 請求項1ないし3のうちのいずれか1つの請求項に記載のミュオン検出装置であって、
前記設置器は、組み立て分解自在の複数の部材により構成されている、
ミュオン検出装置。
