Description
本出願は、本明細書にその全体が参照によって援用される、2013年7月25日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/858,451号、表題「バルーンカテーテルシステム及び方法」の優先権を主張する。
本開示は、概してカテーテルに関する。より具体的には、本開示はバルーンカテーテル組立品及びその使用方法に関する。
Claims (14)
- バルーンカテーテル組立品であって、
長尺部材であって、
前記長尺部材を長手方向に通って延伸し、第1の近位ポートと連通する第1のルーメンと、
前記長尺部材を長手方向に通って前記長尺部材の近位端から前記長尺部材の遠位端まで延伸する第2のルーメンと、
前記長尺部材を長手方向に通って前記長尺部材の近位端から前記長尺部材の遠位端まで延伸する第3のルーメンとを備える長尺部材と、
前記長尺部材の近位端と結合する射出成型された接合ハブであって、当該接合ハブは、
前記接合ハブの近位端と結合し、前記第1のルーメンと流体連通するルーメンを有する第1延長部材と、
前記接合ハブの近位端と結合し、前記第2のルーメン及び前記第3のルーメンと流体連通するルーメンを有する第2延長部材とを備え、当該第2延長部材のルーメンは、前記射出成型された接合ハブの内側に前記第2のルーメン及び前記第3のルーメンを形成するように分岐して、前記第1延長部材のルーメンは、当該第2延長部材のルーメンの分岐の近位において前記第2延長部材のルーメンに対して横に設けられる接合ハブと、
バルーン部と、を備え、当該バルーン部は、
その内部が前記第2のルーメン及び前記第3のルーメンと流体連通するが前記第1のルーメンには流体連通しないように、前記長尺部材に連結される拡張バルーンと、
前記拡張バルーンを通って延伸し、前記第1のルーメンと並べられて連結されてチューブ状シャフトであって、ガイドワイヤが前記延長部材の前記第1のルーメンから前記チューブ状シャフトまで前記拡張バルーンを通って延伸できるように構成された、当該チューブ状シャフトと、
前記チューブ状シャフトに連結され、前記拡張バルーンの長さの一部まで延伸された補強部材と、
を備える、バルーンカテーテル組立品。 - 前記第1のルーメンは実質的に円形であり、前記第2及び第3のルーメンは実質的に楕円形である、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第1のルーメンは実質的に円形であり、前記第2及び第3のルーメンは実質的に腎臓形である、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記長尺部材の断面は縦軸及び前記縦軸と垂直に設けられる横軸を画定し、
前記第1のルーメンの断面は前記縦軸に沿って実質的に中央に置かれ、
前記第2のルーメンの断面及び前記第3のルーメンの断面はそれぞれ実質的に楕円形であり、前記第2のルーメンの長軸及び前記第3のルーメンの長軸は前記長尺部材の前記断面の前記横軸に対して実質的に45度で設けられる、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。 - 前記第2のルーメンの一部と前記第3のルーメンの一部のそれぞれが、前記長尺部材の前記断面の前記横軸に交差する、請求項4に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第1のルーメンの前記断面及び前記長尺部材の前記断面は、それぞれ実質的に円形である、請求項4又は5に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第1、第2、及び第3のルーメンの間に設けられるいずれの壁部、又は前記第1、第2、及び第3のルーメンと前記長尺部材の周囲との間に設けられるいずれの壁部の最小寸法も、前記長尺部材の前記断面の直径の10%以上である、請求項4〜6のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第1のルーメンの前記断面の直径は、前記長尺部材の前記断面の直径の50%以下である、請求項4〜7のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第2のルーメンの短軸は前記長尺部材の前記断面の直径の40%以下であり、前記第3のルーメンの短軸は前記長尺部材の前記断面の前記直径の40%以下である、請求項4〜8のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第2のルーメンの前記断面によってその境界線が引かれる面積と前記第3のルーメンの前記断面によってその境界線が引かれる面積との合計は、前記第1のルーメンの前記断面によってその境界線が引かれる面積の1.4〜2倍である、請求項4〜9のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記補強部材は編組構造を備える、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記補強部材は、前記拡張バルーンの長手方向の圧縮に耐えるように設けられる、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記補強部材及びチューブ状シャフトは、前記拡張バルーンが収縮された構成にある時に長手方向の拡張力を働かせる、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
- 前記第1のルーメンは前記チューブ状シャフトと直接連通する、請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル組立品。
