Claims (13)
- 使用中に目標組織に接して配置されるように構成された電極を含む装置であって、前記電極が、
第1の電極部分と、
第2の電極部分とを含み、前記第1の電極部分と前記第2の電極部分とが協働して外側表面を形成し、前記第2の電極部分が、前記外側表面の縁部部分を含み、
前記第1の電極部分および前記第2の電極部分が、前記第1の電極部分および前記第2の電極部分に電圧が印加されときに、前記第1の電極部分および前記第2の電極部分が前記外側表面の前記縁部部分にピーク電界強度を有する電界を生成し、かつ、前記外側表面の前記縁部部分において生成された前記電界の大きさの前記外側表面の中央部分において生成された前記電界の大きさに対する比が約1.8未満になるように構成される、装置。 - 前記第1の電極部分が、第1の導電率を有する第1の材料で構築され、前記第2の電極部分が、第2の材料で構築され、前記第2の材料が、前記第1の導電率未満の第2の導電率を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の導電率の前記第2の導電率に対する比が、少なくとも3である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記電極が、リング電極であり、
前記外側表面が、一定の外径を有する円筒形表面である、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第2の電極部分が、前記外側表面の縁部を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の電極部分が、前記第1の電極部分を取り囲み、前記外側表面の境界を形成している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記電極が、カテーテルシャフトに結合されるように構成されたリング電極であり、
前記外側表面が、前記リング電極の円筒形表面であり、
前記第2の電極部分が、前記リング電極の端部表面の少なくとも一部分を形成し、前記端部表面が、前記カテーテルシャフトに結合されるように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記電極が、リング電極であり、
前記外側表面が、円筒形表面がその周りに画定される中心線に沿った全長を有する前記リング電極の円筒形表面であり、

前記電極が、前記円筒形表面の一部分および前記リング電極の第2の端部表面の少なくとも一部分を形成する第3の電極部分を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第1の材料が、白金または銀のうちのいずれか一方であり、前記第2の材料が、ステンレス鋼である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記外側表面の第1の部分が、前記電極の前記第1の部分によって形成され、
前記外側表面の第2の部分が、前記電極の前記第2の部分によって形成され、前記外側表面の前記第1の部分が、前記外側表面の前記第2の部分より凹んでいる、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第1の電極部分または前記第2の電極部分の少なくとも一方が、可撓性コイルを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記外側表面の前記縁部部分において生成された前記電界の大きさの前記外側表面の前記中央部分において生成された前記電界の大きさに対する比が約1.5未満である、請求項1に記載の装置。
