Description

ここで前記酸化触媒は、フィルタの20ppm/重量と1000ppm/重量との間の全量で一種以上の貴金属を含む、
前記方法を提供する。
酸化バナジウム(II)(一酸化バナジウム)、VO;または
酸化バナジウム(III)(三二酸化バナジウムまたは三酸化バナジウム)、V2O3; または
酸化バナジウム(IV)(二酸化バナジウム)、VO2;または
酸化バナジウム(V)(五酸化バナジウム)、V2O5;
のことを指す。
白金またはパラジウムの触媒活性形態はその金属及び/または酸化物形態である。
以下の例は、長さ3m及び壁厚20mmのカルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケート繊維から製造されたセラミックキャンドルフィルタを用いて得ることができる性能を例証するものである。フィルタは、その壁内において、フィルタの全重量に基づいて計算して1.26重量%のV及び2.36重量%のTiを含むV/Ti触媒でコーティングした。コーティングされたフィルタの多孔度は83%であった。このフィルタを、40ppmの無水トルエン、19体積%のO2、8体積%のH2Oを含む入口ガス中でのトルエンの酸化について試験した。
以下の例は、追加的に36ppmのPdでコーティングされた、例1のセラミックキャンドルフィルタのCO酸化性能を例証するものである。これらの試験は、約150ppmの湿性CO、19%のO2及び8%のH2Oを含むガスを用いて行った。
本願は特許請求の範囲に記載の発明に係るものであるが、本願の開示は以下も包含する:

貴金属含有触媒が、フィルタの透過側上に及び/またはフィルタの分散側上に及び/またはフィルタの壁内に配置されており、前記貴金属含有触媒が、フィルタの20ppm/重量と1000ppm/重量との間の全量で貴金属を含む、セラミックキャンドルフィルタ。

貴金属がパラジウム及び/または白金である、上記1に記載のセラミックキャンドルフィルタ。
3.
貴金属含有触媒が更に酸化バナジウム類及びチタニアを含む、上記1または2に記載のセラミックキャンドルフィルタ。
4.
フィルタのセラミック材料が、シリカ−アルミネート、カルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケート、カルシウム−シリケート繊維またはこれらの混合物の群から選択される、上記1〜3のいずれか一つに記載のセラミックキャンドルフィルタ。
5.

オフガスまたは排ガスをセラミックキャンドルフィルタに通し及び粒状物を捕集するステップ、
フィルタの壁上に及び/または壁内に配置されている酸化触媒と接触させることによって、フィルタの分散側に捕集された粒状物中の煤の量を減少させ及びオフガスまたは排ガス中の炭化水素の量を減少させるステップ、
を含み、
ここで前記酸化触媒は、フィルタの20ppm/重量と1000ppm/重量との間の全量で一種以上の貴金属を含む、
前記方法。

酸化触媒の一種以上の貴金属がパラジウム及び/または白金である、上記6に記載の方法。

酸化触媒が、更に、酸化バナジウム類及びチタニアを含む、上記6または7に記載の方法。
9.
フィルタのセラミック材料が、シリカ−アルミネート、カルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケート、カルシウム−シリケート繊維またはこれらの混合物から選択される、上記6〜8のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
10.
フィルタのセラミック材料が、カルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケートの群から選択される生体内溶解性繊維を含む、上記6〜8のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
Claims (6)
- 貴金属含有触媒が、フィルタの透過側上に及び/またはフィルタの分散側上に及び/またはフィルタの壁内に配置されており、前記貴金属含有触媒が、フィルタの20重量ppmと1000重量ppmとの間の全量で貴金属を含む、セラミックキャンドルフィルタであって、前記フィルタの分散側にはV/Ti触媒が充填されており、及びフィルタの透過側及び/または壁にはPd触媒またはPd/V/Ti触媒が充填されていることを特徴とする、前記セラミックキャンドルフィルタ。
- フィルタのセラミック材料が、シリカ−アルミネート、カルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケート、カルシウム−シリケート繊維またはこれらの混合物の群から選択される、請求項1に記載のセラミックキャンドルフィルタ。
- フィルタのセラミック材料が、カルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケートの群から選択される生体内溶解性繊維からなる、請求項2に記載のセラミックキャンドルフィルタ。
- 煤、灰、金属及び金属化合物の形の粒状物を、プロセスオフガスまたはエンジン排ガス中に存在する炭化水素及び一酸化炭素と一緒に除去するための方法であって、次のステップ:
オフガスまたは排ガスをセラミックキャンドルフィルタに通し及び粒状物を捕集するステップ、
フィルタの壁上に及び/または壁内に配置されている酸化触媒と接触させることによって、フィルタの分散側に捕集された粒状物中の煤の量を減少させ及びオフガスまたは排ガス中の炭化水素の量を減少させるステップ、
を含み、
ここで前記酸化触媒は、フィルタの20重量ppmと1000重量ppmとの間の全量で一種以上の貴金属を含み、及び前記フィルタの分散側にはV/Ti触媒が充填されており、及びフィルタの透過側及び/または壁にはPd触媒またはPd/V/Ti触媒が充填されている、
前記方法。 - フィルタのセラミック材料が、シリカ−アルミネート、カルシウム−マグネシウム−シリケート、カルシウム−シリケート繊維またはこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項4に記載の方法。
