Claims (2)
- 円管状のシャフト部と、前記シャフト部のトランスファーギアボックス側又はデファレンシャルギアボックス側に接合される継手組立体と、を備え、前記継手組立体が、前記シャフト部に接合されるシャフト側継手部と、トランスファーギアボックス又はデファレンシャルギアボックスに連結される他部材側継手部と、を備えるプロペラシャフトの製造方法であって、
前記シャフト側継手部と前記他部材側継手部とが前記継手組立体に組み立てられた状態で、前記継手組立体の前記シャフト側継手部を前記シャフト部に圧入する圧入工程と、
前記圧入工程の後、前記シャフト部と前記継手組立体とをアーク溶接する溶接工程と、を有し、
前記溶接工程では、前記シャフト部と前記継手組立体との開先を、対向面が略平行となり底面が前記シャフト部により形成された断面略U字状の狭開先とし、電極を通電して発生させたアークにより前記開先に溶融部を形成し、前記溶融部が硬化する前に、後行ワイヤを通電せずに前記溶融部に供給する、
プロペラシャフトの製造方法。 - 前記後行ワイヤを、前記アークの進行方向後方における前記溶融部の盛り上がり部に供給する、
請求項1に記載のプロペラシャフトの製造方法。
