前記第1のPWM信号のデューティサイクルを制御することにより、前記電気外科手術用パルス波形の大きさを調節することと、
前記第2のPWM信号の繰り返し周波数が第1の閾値よりも大きいかどうかを決定することと、
前記第2のPWM信号の繰り返し周波数が前記第1の閾値よりも大きいと決定された場合には、前記電気外科手術用パルス波形が二相性であるかどうかを決定することと、
前記電気外科手術用パルス波形が二相性であると決定された場合には、前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間が第2の閾値よりも大きいかどうかを決定することと、
前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間が前記第2の閾値よりも大きい場合には、前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間が前記第2の閾値未満またはそれと等しくなるように前記第2のPWM信号を調節することにより、前記電気外科手術用パルス波形の少なくとも1つの特性を調節することと
を行うように構成されている、コントローラと
を備える、電気外科手術用ジェネレータ。 - 前記電気外科手術用パルス波形は、神経筋遮断薬の量を低減させるように二相性であり、
前記少なくとも1つの特性は、前記二相性の電気外科手術用パルス波形のパルス幅期間を含む、請求項1に記載の電気外科手術用ジェネレータ。 - 前記コントローラは、前記二相性の電気外科手術用パルス波形の繰り返し周波数が100kHzよりも大きいように前記第2のPWM信号の繰り返し周波数を調節するように構成されている、請求項2に記載の電気外科手術用ジェネレータ。
- 前記コントローラは、前記二相性の電気外科手術用パルス波形の最高振幅ピークが周波数ドメイン内で500kHz〜5MHzに存在するように、前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間を調節するように構成されている、請求項2に記載の電気外科手術用ジェネレータ。
- 前記コンバータは、降圧型コンバータである、請求項1に記載の電気外科手術用ジェネレータ。
- 前記インバータは、昇圧型コンバータである、請求項1に記載の電気外科手術用ジェネレータ。
- 神経筋刺激を最小にするように電気外科手術用ジェネレータを制御するための方法であって、前記電気外科手術用ジェネレータは、コントローラを含み、前記方法は、
前記コントローラが、第1のパルス幅変調(PWM)信号を介して前記電気外科手術用ジェネレータのコンバータの少なくとも1つの第1の切替要素を操作することにより、DC波形を出力することと、
前記コントローラが、第2のパルス幅変調(PWM)信号を介して前記電気外科手術用ジェネレータのインバータの少なくとも1つの第2の切替要素を操作することにより、前記DC波形を変換することにより電気外科手術用パルス波形を生成することと、
前記コントローラが、前記第1のPWM信号のデューティサイクルを制御することにより、前記電気外科手術用パルス波形の大きさを調節することと、
前記コントローラが、前記第2のPWM信号の繰り返し周波数が第1の閾値よりも大きいかどうかを決定することと、
前記第2のPWM信号の繰り返し周波数が前記第1の閾値よりも大きいと決定された場合には、前記コントローラが、前記電気外科手術用パルス波形が二相性であるかどうかを決定することと、
前記電気外科手術用パルス波形が二相性であると決定された場合には、前記コントローラが、前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間が第2の閾値よりも大きいかどうかを決定することと、
前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間が前記第2の閾値よりも大きいと決定された場合には、前記コントローラが、前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間が前記第2の閾値未満またはそれと等しくなるように前記第2のPWM信号を調節することにより、前記電気外科手術用パルス波形の少なくとも1つの特性を調節することと
を含む、方法。 - 前記電気外科手術用パルス波形は、二相性であり、
前記少なくとも1つの特性は、前記二相性の電気外科手術用パルス波形のパルス幅期間を含む、請求項7に記載の方法。 - 前記コントローラが、前記二相性の電気外科手術用パルス波形の繰り返し周波数が100kHzよりも大きいように前記第2のPWM信号の繰り返し周波数を調節することをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記コントローラが、前記二相性の電気外科手術用パルス波形の各サイクルのパルス幅期間が2マイクロ秒未満であるように前記第2のPWM信号のパルス幅期間を調節することをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記コントローラが、組織特性またはエネルギー特性のうちの少なくとも1つを測定することと、
前記コントローラが、前記組織特性または前記エネルギー特性のうちの少なくとも1つに応答して前記第1のPWM信号および前記第2のPWM信号を調節することと
をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
