Claims (17)
- 密封余剰部を含む一側面に電極端子が形成されている板状型電池セルを含み、前記密封余剰部に保護回路モジュール(PCM)が装着されている構造の電池パックであって、
前記板状型電池セルの電極端子は板状型の導電性部材からなっており、
前記PCMは、PCB(保護回路印刷基板)、電池セルの一側の電極端子とPCBとの間に電気的に接続されているか、または前記PCB上に搭載された安全素子、前記PCBの保護回路に電気的に接続されている外部入出力端子、及び前記外部入出力端子が外部に延びた状態で前記PCB及び安全素子が装着される電気絶縁性のモジュールケースを含む構成となっており、
前記モジュールケースは、一側面が外部に開放されたPCB収納部、及び電池セルの密封余剰部に対するモジュールケースの装着のための1つ以上の固定部を含んでおり、
前記PCMは、電池セルの電極端子に電気的に接続されてモジュールケースに収納された状態で、電池セルの密封余剰部上に搭載されており、
前記モジュールケースの固定部は、密封余剰部の端部に結合されるフック構造となっていることを特徴とする、電池パック。 - 前記板状型電池セルは、パウチ型二次電池であって、樹脂層と金属層を含むラミネートシートの電池ケースに電極組立体が密封されている構造となっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電極組立体は、正極、負極、及び正極と負極との間に介在する分離膜の構造であり、電解液と共に前記電池ケースの内部に密封されていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池パック。
- 前記密封余剰部は、電池ケースの熱融着密封によって形成された上端シーリング部であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記安全素子は、PTC素子、ヒューズ及びTCOからなる群から選択される1つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記外部入出力端子は、板状型またはワイヤの形態からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記モジュールケースの固定部は、モジュールケースの長辺を基準として中央に形成されており、密封余剰部に対面するモジュールケースの両端部位は、前記固定部の大きさに対応する長さで密封余剰部の方向に突出していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記固定部が形成されているモジュールケースの部位は、密封余剰部の対向方向に湾入していることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電池パック。
- 前記モジュールケースの固定部が結合される密封余剰部には、モジュールケースの方向に突出した装着部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記モジュールケースは直方体構造のボックス型構造であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記モジュールケースの内部には1つ以上のPCB固定突出部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の電池パック。
- 前記外部入出力端子を除いたPCMと電池セルの外面を包む形態でラベルが付着していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 板状型の導電性部材からなる電極端子が上端に形成されている板状型電池セルの密封余剰部上に搭載される保護回路モジュール(PCM)であって、
PCB(保護回路印刷基板)、電池セルの一側の電極端子とPCBとの間に電気的に接続されているか、または前記PCB上に搭載された安全素子、前記PCBの保護回路に電気的に接続されている外部入出力端子、及び前記外部入出力端子が外部に延びた状態で前記PCB及び安全素子が装着される電気絶縁性のモジュールケースを含む構成となっており、
前記モジュールケースは、一側面が外部に開放されたPCB収納部、及び電池セルの密封余剰部に対するモジュールケースの装着のための1つ以上の固定部を含んでおり、
前記PCMは、電池セルの電極端子に電気的に接続されてモジュールケースに収納された状態で、電池セルの密封余剰部上に搭載されおり、
前記モジュールケースの固定部は、密封余剰部の端部に結合されるフック構造となっていることを特徴とする、保護回路モジュール。 - 請求項1乃至12のいずれかに記載の電池パックを製造する方法であって、
(a)PCBに外部入出力端子を溶接またはソルダリングによって接続する過程と、
(b)電池セルの電極端子とPCBを溶接またはソルダリングによって接続する過程と、
(c)PCB収納部にPCBを装着する過程と、
(d)PCMを電池セルの密封余剰部上に搭載した後、PCMの固定部を電池セルの密封余剰部に結合する過程と、
(e)外部入出力端子を除いたPCMと電池セルの外面を包む形態でラベルを付着する過程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、電池パック製造方法。 - 前記溶接は、スポット溶接、レーザー溶接または超音波溶接であることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電池パック製造方法。
- 請求項1乃至12のいずれかに記載の電池パックを電源として含むことを特徴とする、モバイルデバイス。
- 前記モバイルデバイスは、携帯電話、ノートパソコン、ネットブック、タブレットPCまたはスマートパッドであることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のモバイルデバイス。
