Description
Claims (8)
- 対向配置される第1および第2の基板であって、該第1の基板は、該第2の基板に近い表面に設けられた第1の電極を含み、該第2の基板は、該第1の基板に近い表面に設けられた第2の電極を含む、該第1および第2の基板と、
前記第1および第2の基板に挟持され、該一対の基板の法線方向から見たときに、第1〜第4の枠縁部からなる矩形枠状の全体的平面形状を有し、該第1の枠縁部にのみ、内側側面が外側に向かって窪む3つ以上の凹部が設けられ、かつ、少なくとも1つの凹部が該第1の枠縁部の両端を除く場所に設けられ、該凹部に相対する外側側面が外側に向かって膨らむように成形されるシール部材と、
前記第1および第2の基板ならびに前記シール部材により画定される空間に封入され、銀を含有するエレクトロデポジション材料を含む電解質層と、
前記第1および第2の電極に接続し、該第1および第2の電極を介して、前記電解質層に電圧を印加することができる電源と、
を備える光学装置。 - 前記電源は、前記第1の電極の電位を基準としたとき、第1の期間に、前記第2の電極に正の電位である第1の電位を印加し、該第1の期間の後の第2の期間に、該第2の電極に、正の電位であり、かつ、該第1の電位よりも低い第2の電位を印加することができる請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電源は、前記第1の電極の電位を基準にしたとき、前記第2の電極に正の直流電位を印加することができる請求項1または2記載の光学装置。
- 前記第2の基板は、さらに、前記第2の電極の表面に設けられ、導電性を有する微細凹凸層を含む請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の光学装置。
- 前記電源は、さらに、前記第1の電極の電位を基準にしたとき、前記第2の電極に負の直流電位を印加することができる請求項4記載の光学装置。
- 前記第1および第2の基板は、可撓性を有する請求項1〜5いずれか1項記載の光学装置。
- 白色光を出射する光源と、
前記光源を覆って配置され、レンズ機能を有する光学カバー部材と、
前記光学カバー部材の内側表面ないし外側表面に配置される請求項6記載の光学装置と、
を備える車両用灯具。 - 対向配置される第1および第2の基板であって、該第1の基板は、該第2の基板に近い表面に設けられた第1の電極を含み、該第2の基板は、該第1の基板に近い表面に設けられた第2の電極を含む、該第1および第2の基板と、
前記第1および第2の基板に挟持され、該一対の基板の法線方向から見たときに、第1〜第4の枠縁部からなる矩形枠状の全体的平面形状を有し、該第1の枠縁部にのみ、内側側面が外側に向かって窪む3つ以上の凹部が設けられ、かつ、少なくとも1つの凹部が該第1の枠縁部の両端を除く場所に設けられ、該凹部に相対する外側側面が外側に向かって膨らむように成形されるシール部材と、
前記第1および第2の基板ならびに前記シール部材により画定される空間に封入され、銀を含有するエレクトロデポジション材料を含む電解質層と、
を備える光学素子の駆動方法であって、
前記第1の電極の電位を基準としたとき、第1の期間に、前記第2の電極に正の電位である第1の電位を印加し、該第1の期間の後の第2の期間に、前記第2の電極に、正の電位であり、かつ、前記第1の電位よりも低い第2の電位を印加する光学素子の駆動方法。
