Description
Claims (21)
- 近位面と、骨の目標部分に対面するような形状及び寸法とされた遠位面と、中心軸に沿って近位面から遠位面へ貫通する貫通孔とを備える骨接合装置であって、
前記貫通孔は前記貫通孔の内面から前記中心軸の方向に延在する第1の突起部を備え、
前記第1の突起部は、前記貫通孔の内部において前記第1の突起部が前記中心軸から第1の距離を隔てた個所まで延在する無応力状態となるように付勢され、
前記第1の突起部は前記中心軸から外側方向への力を受けたときに前記内面の側へと移動して、半径方向において圧縮された状態に変形し、前記第1の突起部は、前記中心軸に対向する第1の前面を具備し、
前記内面から前記中心軸の方向に向かって延在する第2の突起部であって、前記第2の突起部は前記貫通孔の内部において前記第2の突起部が前記中心軸から第2の距離を隔てた個所まで延在する無応力状態となるように付勢され、前記第2の突起部は前記中心軸から外側方向への力を受けて貫通孔内の隙間を増したときに前記内面の側へと移動可能であり、前記第2の突起部は前記中心軸に対向する第2の前面を備える第2の突起部と、
前記内面から前記中心軸の方向に向かって延在する第3の突起部であって、前記第3の突起部は前記貫通孔の内部において前記第3の突起部が前記中心軸から第3の距離を隔てた個所まで延在する無応力状態となるように付勢され、前記第3の突起部は前記中心軸から外側方向への力を受けて貫通孔内の隙間を増したときに前記内面の側へと移動可能であり、前記第3の突起部は前記中心軸に対向する第3の前面を備える第3の突起部と、をさらに具備し、
前記第1の前面、前記第2の前面、及び、前記第3の前面は互いに周方向に分離している、骨接合装置。 - 前記第1の突起部は前記貫通孔の直径の少なくとも2%移動可能である請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の突起部は円の一部として形成され、前記第1の前面の円周は360°未満である請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の前面の円周は190°〜220°の範囲である請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の突起部は前記貫通孔の前記内面と一体に形成される請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の突起部は、前記貫通孔の前記内面に結合される弾性変形が可能なヒンジを備える請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の突起部は、隣接しており、折りたたまれた複数の層を備え、前記折りたたまれた複数の層は互いに半径方向に押し付け合う、請求項1〜6の何れか1つに記載の装置。
- 前記貫通孔は非円形の断面を有する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の前面の表面積は前記第2の前面の表面積と等しいかまたは異なり、前記第1の前面及び第2の前面は、前記中心軸からの前記第1の前面及び第2の前面の距離と等しい前記中心軸からの距離の箇所において、前記第1の前面及び第2の前面の組み合わせで貫通孔の円周面積の50〜80%または85〜98%を占める請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の前面は前記第1の前面全体に延在するねじ山状構造を備える請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の前面及び第2の前面は、仮想体の一部を形成し、前記仮想体は、前記中心軸に対して垂直に測定したときに円形となる断面、5°〜15°の範囲のテーパ角度を有する略円錐仮想体、球欠形状、及び、円筒形状の内のいずれか一つを有する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ヒンジは、前記遠位面と前記近位面とのいずれかと長手方向に整列され、または前記近位面と前記遠位面とから等距離の位置に配置される請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の前面は、前記中心軸に対して平行または非平行である請求項3または4に記載の装置。
- 請求項1に記載の骨接合装置と、
ヘッドを備える骨固定要素であって、前記ヘッドは、貫通孔に挿入されると半径方向外側の力を加えて前記第1の突起部を無応力位置から半径方向外側へと移動させるような形状及び寸法とされてなる骨固定要素と
を具備する骨接合骨固定システム。 - 前記第1の突起部は第1、第2、第3及び第4の壁を備え、
前記第1の壁は、前記内面から、前記中心軸に対して略垂直の方向に離れるように延在し、また前記第1の壁は前記骨接合装置の前記近位面と前記遠位面とのいずれか一つと長手方向に整列されており、
前記第2の壁は、前記第1の壁から、前記中心軸に対して略平行の方向に離れるように延在し、
前記第3の壁は、前記第2の壁から、前記中心軸に対して略垂直の方向に離れるように延在し、
前記第4の壁は、前記第3の壁から、前記中心軸に対して略平行の方向に離れるように延在して、第1の溝は前記内面と前記第2の壁との間で画定され、第2の溝は前記第2の壁と前記第4の壁との間で画定され、前記中心軸に対向する前記第4の壁の第1の前面はねじ山を有し、前記中心軸に対して傾斜する請求項14に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1の突起部は前記貫通孔の円周の所定の部分を覆うように半径方向に延在し、前記貫通孔は略円形の断面形状を有する請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記貫通孔は前記貫通孔に隣接して配置された第2の開口部とつながっており、前記第2の開口部は前記近位面から前記遠位面へと延在する請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 貫通孔の遠位部分は、前記第1の突起部の内壁上の第1の合口を収納する寸法及び形状とされた、前記内面内部へと延在する第1のスロットを備え、前記内壁は前記貫通孔の前記内面に対して傾斜し、
前記貫通孔の近位部分は前記内面内部へと延在する第2のスロットを備え、前記第2のスロットは、前記第1の突起部の内壁上の第2の合口を収納する寸法及び形状とされて、第1の付勢された手術時の配置において所定の距離だけ前記第2の合口から離間され、前記第2の合口は、前記第1の突起部が前記中心軸から半径方向外側への力によって前記内面に押し付けられるときに第2の付勢された手術時の配置において前記第2のスロットと接触する請求項14に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1の突起部は、前記内面から前記中心軸の側へと突出するタブによって前記貫通孔の前記内面に接続され、前記タブは前記近位面と前記遠位面とから等距離の位置に配置され、前記タブの近位及び遠位にある前記第1の突起部の近位内壁及び遠位内壁は前記貫通孔の前記内面に対して傾斜する請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 互いに分離し合って、かつ前記貫通孔の半径方向溝によって前記第1の突起部から分離している第2の突起部及び第3の突起部をさらに備える請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記骨固定要素の前記ヘッドは前記第1、第2及び第3の突起部上に形成されたねじ山に適合するねじ山部分を備える請求項20に記載のシステム。
