Description
ピンとボックスの少なくとも一方の部材の少なくとも接触表面上に塑性又は粘塑性型レオロジー挙動を有する固体潤滑被膜を有し、前記溝の総体積V(mm3)と前記固体潤滑被膜の付着量W(g)とが下記(1)式を満たすことを特徴とする管ねじ継手:
V/W ≧ 24(mm3/g) ・・・・・ (1)。
管ねじ継手30のピン1及びボックス2の接触表面(ねじ部、シール面、及びショルダ面)は、ねじ切りを含む切削加工により形成され、一般にその表面粗さは3〜5μm程度である。接触表面の表面粗さをこれより大きくすると、その上に形成される被膜の密着性を高めることができ、結果として耐焼付き性や耐食性といった性能を改善することができる。そのために、ピン1及びボックス2の少なくとも一方の部材、好ましくは両方の部材の接触表面に、被膜形成に先立って、表面粗さを大きくすることができる下地処理を施すことが好ましい。
別の種類の下地処理は、ショットもしくはグリットブラスト処理、酸洗などの、素地そのものの表面粗さを増大させることができる処理であり、下地処理被膜は形成されない。
固体防食被膜は、現場で締結作業が行われるまでピンまたはボックスの接触表面を保護するプロテクター装着時に加わる力では容易に破壊されないこと、輸送や保管中に凝縮した水に曝されても溶解しないこと、及び40℃を超える高温下でも容易には軟化しないことが要求される。
本発明では、管ねじ継手に優れた耐焼付き性、気密性及び防錆性を付与することができる、塑性又は粘塑性型レオロジー挙動を有する固体潤滑被膜をピンとボックスの少なくとも一方の接触表面に形成する。前述したように、ピンの接触表面に固体防食被膜として紫外線硬化樹脂被膜を形成する場合には、ボックスの接触表面のこの固体潤滑被膜を形成する。塑性又は粘塑性型レオロジー挙動を有する固体潤滑被膜については特許文献2に詳しく説明されているが、以下に簡単に説明する。
熱可塑性ポリマー 5〜40%
ワックス 5〜30%
金属石鹸 5〜30%
腐食抑制剤 0〜50%
水不溶性液状樹脂 0〜17%
界面活性剤、着色剤、酸化防止剤 各0〜2%
極圧剤、液状油剤 各0〜2%
各成分とも2種以上の材料を使用できる。
カルナバワックス 5〜30%
ステアリン酸亜鉛 5〜30%
腐食抑制剤 5〜50%
ポリアルキルメタクリレート 0〜15%
ポリジメチルシロキサン 0〜2%
着色剤 0〜2%
酸化防止剤 0〜1%
マトリックス中に分散状態で含有させる固体潤滑剤は、潤滑性を有する粉末の意味である。固体潤滑剤としては、黒鉛、酸化亜鉛、窒化硼素、二硫化モリブデン、二硫化タングステン、ふっ素化黒鉛、硫化スズ、硫化ビスマス、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン<PTFE>、及びポリアミドから選ばれた1種又は2種以上を使用することが好ましい。

・三酸化ビスマス:5%、
・シリコーン(ポリジメチルシロキサン):1%、並びに
・酸化防止剤(Ciba-Geigy社製)
IRGANOXTM L150:0.3%および
IRGAFOSTM 168:0.2%。
Claims (6)
- ねじ部及びねじ無し金属接触部を有する接触表面をそれぞれ備えるピン及びボックスから構成され、前記ねじ無し金属接触部はシール面及びショルダ面を備え、ピンのショルダ面はピン先端の端面に位置し、前記シール面とショルダ面との間にピンとボックスとが互いに接触しない非接触領域を有し、ピンとボックスの少なくとも一方のショルダ面が、前記非接触領域とねじ継手の内部とに通じる少なくとも1つの溝を有する管ねじ継手であって、
ピンとボックスの少なくとも一方の部材はその表面上に塑性又は粘塑性型レオロジー挙動を有する固体潤滑被膜を有し、前記溝の総体積(mm3)と前記固体潤滑被膜の付着量(g)とが下記(1)式を満たすことを特徴とする管ねじ継手:
(溝の総体積)/(固体潤滑被膜の付着量)≧24(mm3/g)・・・(1)。 - 前記ピン及びボックスのショルダ面がいずれも、メインショルダ面とこれにつながるサブショルダ面とから構成され、前記メインショルダ面は傾斜角度が前記ピンの挿入方向に対して管中心に向かって後退するように傾斜するリバース角であって、
その一端が管内部に達し、前記サブショルダ面は前記メインショルダ面と前記非接触領域との間に位置し、サブショルダ面の管軸垂直面に対する傾斜角度はメインショルダ面のそれより大きい、請求項1に記載の管ねじ継手。 - 前記ショルダ面に占める前記溝の開口部の面積率が40%未満である請求項1に記載された管ねじ継手。
- 前記メインショルダ面に占める前記溝の開口部の面積率が40%未満である請求項2に記載された管ねじ継手。
- 前記固体潤滑被膜がボックスの接触表面上に形成されている、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の管ねじ継手。
- ピンの接触表面が、紫外線硬化樹脂から形成された固体防食被膜を有する、請求項5に記載の管ねじ継手。
