Description
前記乾式トナーを前記帯電体上から、基材に転写する工程;および
前記転写された乾式トナーを前記基材に固定する工程;を備える。そして、前記転写工程では、前記帯電体上と前記基材との間に電界を印加することにより、前記帯電体上の乾式トナーを前記帯電体から前記基材に対して飛翔させる。
染料以外の機能剤とバインダ樹脂とを含有する少なくとも1種の乾式トナーを帯電体上に静電的に保持させる静電保持部;帯電体状に保持された乾式トナーを、前記基材搬送部により搬送される基材に転写する転写部;および、
前記基材搬送部上において前記転写部よりも下流に設けられており、かつ前記転写された前記乾式トナーを前記基材に固定する固定部;を備える。そして、前記転写部は、前記基材搬送部上の基材と前記帯電体との間に、前記帯電体上の乾式トナーを前記帯電体から前記基材に飛翔させる電界を印加する電界印加部を備える。
図1は、本発明の実施形態にかかる機能剤が固定された基材の製造方法を実施するための各作業工程の一例を説明するための工程図を模式的に表した図である。
本発明に用いられる基材は、電気的絶縁性を有することが好ましい。基材は、染色可能な材料であることができる。また基材は、平滑な又は表面に凹凸を有するものであることができる。基材は、例えば、布帛、衣料品(例としてアンダーウェア、スポーツウェア)、紙、プラスチックフィルム、プラスチックシート、プラスチック板、金属板、ガラス板、陶器板(例えばタイル)などを包含する。なかでも、表面に凹凸を有する基材が好ましい。プラスチックフィルム、プラスチックシート等は、例えば、エンボス加工等により凹凸が形成されていてもよい。凹凸の程度も特に限定されないが、最大厚みに対する最小厚みの比が50%以下でも可能であり、例えば、メッシュ状の布帛のような0%のものであってもよい。
また、本発明において使用される乾式トナーは、機能剤とバインダ樹脂とを含有している。
(第二実施形態)
続いて、第二実施形態に係る機能剤固定装置200について図4を参照して説明する。図4の機能剤固定装置200もまた、4トナー一括転写方式で機能剤の固定を行うことができる。以下では、機能剤固定装置100と異なる点のみについて説明し、同一の部分については説明を省略する。この機能剤固定装置200は、基材14に転写するために4つの異なるトナーを用いた画像を形成できる作像ユニット(静電保持部)15Aおよび転写ユニット70Aを備える。
(第三実施形態)
図5は、本発明のさらに別の第三実施形態に係る機能剤固定装置300を表す概念図である。図5の機能剤固定装置300もまた、4トナー一括転写方式でトナーの固定を行うことができる。以下では、図2の機能剤固定装置100と異なる点のみについて説明し、同一の部分については説明を省略する。この機能剤固定装置300は、それぞれの機能剤含有トナーによる画像を形成する4つの作像ユニット(静電保持部)15Bが搬送ベルト13上にタンデムに配置されている。
(第四実施形態)
図6は、本発明の他の第四実施形態に係る機能剤固定装置200の概略構成図である。機能剤固定装置100,200,300では、任意の画像を感光体ベルトや転写ベルト上に形成して布帛等の基材に転写する方法について説明したが、第四実施形態では任意の画像は形成できず、布帛等の基材の全面に機能剤が固定され、この画像はベタ画像とも呼ばれる。
(トナー組成物T1の製造)
主成分としてポリエステル樹脂(三菱レイヨン(株)製ダイヤクロン)95重量部、ワックス1重量部、荷電制御剤(オリヱント化学工業(株)製サリチル酸系金属錯体)1重量部、機能剤付与確認剤として染料(日本化薬(株)製 Disperse Blue 60)3重量部とを混合し、粉砕法によりトナー(T)を得た。粉砕後、外添剤として小粒径シリカ 0.3重量部、大粒径シリカ 1重量部にて表面処理を行い、乾式トナー(以下トナーT1)を得た。
(機能性トナー組成物TU1の製造)
主成分としてポリエステル樹脂(三菱レイヨン(株)製ダイヤクロン)89.7重量部、ワックス1重量部、荷電制御剤(オリヱント化学工業(株)製サリチル酸系金属錯体)1重量部、機能剤付与確認剤として染料(日本化薬(株)製 Disperse Blue 60)3重量部、及びチヌビン326(チバスペシャルティケミカルズ社製)5重量部とを混合し、粉砕法によりトナー(TU)を得た。粉砕後、外添剤として小粒径シリカ 0.3重量部、大粒径シリカ 1重量部にて表面処理を行い、機能剤入り乾式トナー(以下機能性トナーTU1)を得た。
(画像サンプルの作成)
乾式トナー(トナーT1及び機能性トナーTU1)を図2の製造装置を用いて静電写真方式により100%ポリエステル繊維で構成されているサテン(目付90g/平米)上に固定し、乾式トナーT1を用いて作成したトナー固定画像T1-Aを得た。同じく乾式トナーTU1を用いて作成したトナー固定画像TU1-A、TU1-B、TU1-Cを得た。ここで、T1-A、TU1-Aはベタ画像、TU1-B、TU1-Cは絵柄サンプルとした。
(耐光性評価)
サンプルT1-A及びTU1-Aに対して、JIS L-0842(2009)第3露光法、5級照射(63℃×40時間)による耐光堅牢度試験を行った。また、試験後JIS L-0804により規定された変退色用グレースケール(日本規格協会製)を用いて級数判定を行った。その結果サンプルT1-Aが2-3級に対し、サンプルTU1-Aは3-4級と明らかな耐光性の向上がみられた。

Claims (10)
- 機能剤が固定された基材の製造方法であって、
染料以外の機能剤とバインダ樹脂とを含有する少なくとも1種の乾式トナーを帯電体上に静電的に提供する工程;
前記乾式トナーを前記帯電体上から基材に転写する工程;および
前記転写された乾式トナーを前記基材に固定する工程;を備え、
前記転写工程では、前記帯電体上と前記基材との間に電界を印加することにより、前記帯電体上の乾式トナーを前記帯電体から前記基材に対して飛翔させ、
前記少なくとも1種の乾式トナーを帯電体上に静電的に提供する工程は、
露光及び現像により形成された感光体ベルト上の乾式トナーの画像を前記帯電体に転写する工程、又は、
感光性を有する前記帯電体を露光及び現像して前記帯電体上に乾式トナーの画像を形成する工程、又は、
金属製の前記帯電体に乾式トナーによるベタ画像を形成する工程を含み、
前記基材は、プラスチックフィルム、プラスチックシート、又は、布帛である、方法。 - 前記機能剤は帯電性を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記機能剤は、前記基材の堅牢度向上剤、濃染化剤、蛍光剤、脱色剤、防染剤、抜染剤、風合い改質剤、平滑剤、抗ピル剤、抗スナッギング剤、スリップ防止剤、柔軟剤、透明加工剤、光沢加工剤、目詰め加工剤、架橋剤、黄変防止剤、防臭剤、芳香剤、防皺剤、吸湿剤、吸水剤、撥水剤、撥油剤、透湿剤、防汚剤、親油剤、透湿防水剤、汚れ付着防止剤、蓄熱剤、発熱剤、蓄冷剤、吸熱剤、放熱剤、保温剤、温感加工剤、冷感加工剤、遠赤外線放射剤、難燃剤、防炎剤、静電防止剤、熱遮蔽剤、ガス遮蔽剤、電磁波遮蔽剤、電子線遮蔽剤、放射線遮蔽剤、抗菌剤、制菌剤、殺菌剤、抗ウイルス剤、防黴剤、防ダニ剤、防蚊剤、防虫剤、動物忌避剤、汚れ分解剤、花粉付着防止剤、ガス捕集剤、ガス分解剤、マイナスイオン発生剤、医薬品、化粧用剤からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つである、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記基材は、表面に凹凸を有する請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記転写工程において、前記電界を、前記帯電体上の乾式トナーと前記基材との間に間隙が設けられた状態、または、前記帯電体が前記乾式トナーを前記基材に対して押圧しない状態で印加する、請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 基材を搬送する基材搬送部;
染料以外の機能剤とバインダ樹脂とを含有する少なくとも1種の乾式トナーを帯電体上に静電的に保持させる静電保持部;
前記帯電体上に保持された乾式トナーを、前記基材搬送部により搬送される基材に転写する転写部;および
前記基材搬送部上において前記転写部よりも下流に設けられており、かつ前記転写された前記乾式トナーを前記基材に固定する固定部;を備え、
前記転写部は、前記基材搬送部上の基材と前記帯電体との間に、前記帯電体上の乾式トナーを前記帯電体から前記基材に飛翔させる電界を印加する電界印加部を備え、
前記静電保持部は、
露光及び現像により形成された感光体ベルト上の乾式トナーの画像を前記帯電体に転写する、又は、
感光性を有する前記帯電体を露光及び現像して前記帯電体上に乾式トナーの画像を形成する、又は、
金属製の前記帯電体に乾式トナーによるベタ画像を形成し、
前記基材は、プラスチックフィルム、プラスチックシート、又は、布帛である、機能剤固定装置。 - 前記機能剤が帯電性を有する請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記機能剤は、前記基材の堅牢度向上剤、濃染化剤、蛍光剤、脱色剤、防染剤、抜染剤、風合い改質剤、平滑剤、抗ピル剤、抗スナッギング剤、スリップ防止剤、柔軟剤、透明加工剤、光沢加工剤、目詰め加工剤、架橋剤、黄変防止剤、防臭剤、芳香剤、防皺剤、吸湿剤、吸水剤、撥水剤、撥油剤、透湿剤、防汚剤、親油剤、透湿防水剤、汚れ付着防止剤、蓄熱剤、発熱剤、蓄冷剤、吸熱剤、放熱剤、保温剤、温感加工剤、冷感加工剤、遠赤外線放射剤、難燃剤、防炎剤、静電防止剤、熱遮蔽剤、ガス遮蔽剤、電磁波遮蔽剤、電子線遮蔽剤、放射線遮蔽剤、抗菌剤、制菌剤、殺菌剤、抗ウイルス剤、防黴剤、防ダニ剤、防蚊剤、防虫剤、動物忌避剤、汚れ分解剤、花粉付着防止剤、ガス捕集剤、ガス分解剤、マイナスイオン発生剤、医薬品、化粧用剤からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つである、請求項6または7に記載の装置。
- 前記基材搬送部は、表面に凹凸を有する基材を搬送する請求項6〜8のいずれか一項記載の装置。
- 前記転写部は、前記帯電体上の乾式トナーと前記基材との間に間隙を有する、または、前記転写部の帯電体は、前記帯電体上の前記乾式トナーを前記基材に対して押圧しない、請求項6〜9のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
