Description
さらに、(液体ビヒクル中に溶解されているか又はその中に分散された)固体も、本発明の調合物中に存在することができ、バインダ、ラテックス粒子、UV硬化性材料、可塑剤、(着色剤以外の)顔料等を含み得る。
実施例1
フルオロジオール(Omnova社のPF-636、MW=1038)0.2モルを、温度計、撹拌器、水冷却器(water condenser)及び真空出口を装備した1Lの三つ口丸底フラスコに加える。次に、このフルオロジオールの入った反応フラスコにジイソシアン酸イソホロン(IPDI)0.8モルを滴下する。この混合物を100℃にて約3時間撹拌し、次いで、100℃で撹拌及び加熱をさらに3時間続けながら、ジメチロールプロピオン酸(DMPA)0.5モル及びDowanol TPM0.2モルを添加した。遊離のIPDIは、約2240の吸収ピーク波数で赤外分光分析によってモニタできる。この粘性のある中間体をアセトンで希釈し、45%水酸化カリウム水溶液で中和することができ、ジメチロールプロピオン酸に基づく95%の化学量論的イオン化が実現された。アセトンは、真空下で加熱することによって除去することができ、それにより固形分約20%の水性分散体が調製された。他の固形含有量の割合(例えば、固形分10%、30%、50%等)も、本発明の実施例の原理に従って得ることができる。
実施例2

下の表1に従って3種のインクジェットインクを調製する。
実施例7
ポリウレタンバインダを用いずに同様に調合したインクと比較した場合、実施例6の3種のインクは、印刷した場合、極めて類似の光学密度を示す。よって、ポリウレタン添加剤は、印刷画像の光学密度には著しい影響を及ぼさない。しかし、各インクの印刷画像は、300グラムの下向きの力で蛍光マーカー、例えば「Faber-Castell」蛍光マーカーによって1パスで(1回なぞって)故意に汚した場合、生じる汚れは、ポリウレタンがインクに含有されない場合にはより一層著しい。このことは、印刷された元の画像の外部での蛍光マーカーによって生じた汚れの光学密度を調べることによって検証可能である。(フルオロジオールを含有する又は含有しない)ポリウレタンバインダを含有するインクでは、汚れ部分での光学密度が低くなる。すなわち、蛍光マーカーによって印刷画像の外部まで運ばれる汚れの引きずり(trailing smear)が少なくなる。例えば、ポリウレタンバインダを含有するインクは汚れ部分で約20〜25のmODを有し得るが、バインダを含有しない同じインクのmODは約5〜10のmODを有し得る。
Claims (9)
- 前記フルオロジオール修飾ポリウレタンバインダが、5,000Mw〜20,000Mwの重量平均分子量を有する、請求項1に記載のインクジェット可能な液体。
- 前記フルオロジオール修飾ポリウレタンが、イソシアネートを前記少なくとも1つのフルオロジオールと反応させることによって調製される、請求項1又は2に記載のインクジェット可能な液体。
- 前記フルオロジオール修飾ポリウレタンバインダが、20〜200の酸価を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のインクジェット可能な液体。
- 前記インクジェットインクが、25dyne/cm未満の表面張力を有する、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のインクジェット可能な液体。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のインクジェット可能な液体と、着色剤とを含有するインクジェットインク。
- 前記着色剤が染料である、請求項6に記載のインクジェットインク。
- 前記着色剤が顔料である、請求項6に記載のインクジェットインク。
- 印刷された画像を形成するために媒体基材上にインクジェットインクを噴射することを含む、耐久性のある画像を印刷する方法であって、
a)前記インクジェットインクが、3,000Mw〜180,000Mwの重量平均分子量を有するフルオロジオール修飾ポリウレタンバインダであって、
[式中、x+y=6若しくは20である]、又は
[式中、x+y=6若しくは20である]の構造の少なくとも1つを含むフルオロジオールを用いて調製される、バインダを含むか、又は
b)前記印刷された画像が、3,000Mw〜180,000Mwの重量平均分子量を有するフルオロジオール修飾ポリウレタンバインダであって、
[式中、x+y=6若しくは20である]、又は
[式中、x+y=6若しくは20である]の構造の少なくとも1つを含むフルオロジオールを用いて調製される、バインダを含有するコーティング組成物でオーバーコートされる、方法。
