Claims (5)
- 流路形状の溶融タンクを含むガラス溶融炉であって、バッチ材料が上流端で導入され、溶融されたガラスが下流端で回収され、前記炉がバーナーによって加熱され、燃焼エネルギーの少なくとも65%が酸素燃料燃焼によって生成され、バーナーが炉の長さに沿って壁上に分布され、燃焼排ガス放出の大部分が、バッチ材料が導入される開口の近くの上流端の近くに局在化され、燃焼排ガスの残りが下流部分の近くで除去され、かくして周囲の雰囲気に対して動的封止を維持し、溶融物の上の雰囲気の容積及び生成される燃焼排ガスの容積が、炉内の燃焼排ガスの平均滞留時間が少なくとも10秒、好ましくは少なくとも15秒であるようなものである、溶融炉。
- 炉内の燃焼排ガスの滞留時間が最大40秒、好ましくは最大30秒である、請求項1に記載の溶融炉。
- 炉の横断面が、炉の長手方向の燃焼排ガスの平均流速が炉内のいかなる場所においても3m/sを超えない、好ましくは2m/sを超えないようなものである、請求項1又は2に記載の溶融炉。
- 燃焼供給条件、及び炉内への空気の進入を制限するためにとられる手段が、10%を超えない、好ましくは8%を超えない窒素含有量を有する燃焼排ガスをもたらす、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の溶融炉。
- バーナーの下流に放出された燃焼排ガスの量が、上流の燃焼排ガスに検出された窒素含有量に従って調整され、この量が、窒素含有量が特定のしきい値を超えるときには増加し、窒素含有量が特定のしきい値を超えないときには増加しない、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の溶融炉。
