前記シール部は、前記外輪の外周面とその外周面に向かい合う前記取付口の面の間に圧入嵌合される円筒部と、これの端部から折り曲がって内径方向に延設される環状立壁部と、その環状立壁部の内径端から車両インナー側へ延設されて前記ドライブシャフトの外周面との間に形成される隙間でラビリンスシール機能を発揮させるスカート部とを備え、
前記円筒部には、前記外輪の外周面を押圧保持するバネ部が設けられたことを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- 車両インナー側のナックルの取付口に接続される外輪と、車両アウター側の車輪にハブを介して接続される内輪と、前記外輪と前記内輪との間に介在される転動体と、前記内外輪間を外部から密封するための密封装置と、を備えた転がり軸受において、
前記内輪とともに回転可能に設けられるドライブシャフトと前記ナックルとの間に存在する隙間から前記転がり軸受側に浸入する異物を規制するためのシール部が設けられ、
前記シール部は、前記外輪の外周面とその外周面に向かい合う前記取付口の面の間に圧入嵌合される円筒部と、これの端部から折り曲がって内径方向に延設される環状立壁部と、その環状立壁部の内径端から車両インナー側へ延設されて前記ドライブシャフトの外周面との間に形成される隙間でラビリンスシール機能を発揮させるスカート部とを備え、
前記円筒部には、前記外輪の外周面を押圧保持するバネ部が設けられたことを特徴とする転がり軸受装置。 - 前記隙間は、車両アウター側から車両インナー側へ移行するに従って大きくなるように設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の転がり軸受装置。
- 前記外輪の外周面の車両インナー側の端からの一部には、前記外輪の外周面の外径より小径の縮径段差面が形成され、
前記円筒部は、前記縮径段差面と前記取付口の面の間に圧入嵌合され、
前記外輪の外周面の前記縮径段差面が形成されていない部分と前記取付口の面とが接触していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の転がり軸受装置。 - 前記環状立壁部は、前記円筒部と連続する前記環状立壁部の基部側に設けられ前記外輪の端面に突き当てられる当接面と、その当接面から折り曲がって車両インナー側に連続する連続筒部と、その連続筒部から折り曲がって内径方向に延設される連続壁部とを備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の転がり軸受装置。
