Claims (2)
- カソード側電極とアノード側電極とが電解質の両側に設けられた偶数個の電解質・電極構造体と、各電解質・電極接合体と交互に積層される金属セパレータとを有し、前記カソード側電極に酸化剤ガスを供給する酸化剤ガス流路及び前記アノード側電極に燃料ガスを供給する燃料ガス流路には、それぞれの少なくとも流路入口又は流路出口に凹凸形状のバッファ部が設けられた複数の発電ユニットを備え、前記発電ユニット間に冷却媒体流路を形成して積層される燃料電池スタックであって、
前記バッファ部は、前記酸化剤ガス流路側の第1の凸部と前記燃料ガス流路側の第2の凸部とが、前記電解質・電極構造体を挟んで積層方向に互いに対向して配置されるとともに、
前記第1の凸部及び前記第2の凸部が対向する挟持位置は、隣接する各電解質・電極構造体毎に前記積層方向から見て異なる位置に設定される一方、
隣接して前記冷却媒体流路を形成する一対の前記金属セパレータの前記バッファ部には、前記冷却媒体流路側に突出して互いに当接する第3の凸部及び第4の凸部が設けられ、
前記第3の凸部及び前記第4の凸部の当接位置は、前記第1の凸部及び前記第2の凸部の前記挟持位置とは前記積層方向から見て異なる位置に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池スタックにおいて、前記発電ユニットは、少なくとも第1及び第2の電解質・電極構造体を有し、第1の金属セパレータ、前記第1の電解質・電極構造体、第2の金属セパレータ、前記第2の電解質・電極構造体及び第3の金属セパレータの順に積層されるとともに、
前記第1の金属セパレータの前記第1の凸部と前記第2の金属セパレータの前記第2の凸部とは、前記第1の電解質・電極構造体の第1の挟持位置に配置され、
前記第2の金属セパレータの前記第1の凸部と前記第3の金属セパレータの前記第2の凸部とは、前記第2の電解質・電極構造体の第2の挟持位置に配置され、
前記第3の金属セパレータの前記第3の凸部と、隣接する他の前記発電ユニットを構成する前記第1の金属セパレータの前記第4の凸部とは、前記冷却媒体流路側に突出して当接位置に配置され、
前記第1の挟持位置、前記第2の挟持位置及び前記当接位置は、前記積層方向から見てそれぞれ異なる位置に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。
