Claims (15)
- 第1の針の幾何形状を有する第1の縫合針及び前記第1の針の幾何形状とは異なる第2の針の幾何形状を有する第2の縫合針と共に用いるための縫合システムであって、
近位端及び遠位端を備えた本体を有する駆動ユニットと、
前記本体の遠位端の近傍に装着可能であり、複数のクランプを含む第1のクランプユニットと、
前記本体の遠位端の近傍に装着可能であり、複数のクランプを含む第2のクランプユニットと、
前記駆動ユニットをそこに装着される関連のクランプユニットに作動可能に結合するリンク装置と、
を備え、
前記第1のクランプユニットが前記駆動ユニットに装着されて前記リンク装置がサイクル動作するときに、前記リンク装置が、前記第1のクランプユニットのクランプにより把持と解放とを順次的に交互に切り替えし、前記第1のクランプユニットの把持が、前記第1の針の幾何形状に対応しており、
前記第2のクランプユニットが前記駆動ユニットに装着されて前記リンク装置がサイクル動作するときに、前記リンク装置が、前記第2の駆動ユニットのクランプにより把持と解放とを順次的に交互に切り替えし、前記第2のクランプユニットの把持が、前記第2の針の幾何形状に対応している、
ことを特徴とする縫合システム。 - 前記第1の駆動ユニットのクランプが、前記第1の針を前記針の対向する端部の近傍で把持するように横方向に分離され、前記リンク装置のサイクル動作は、組織を貫通して前記第1の針を進めるのに不十分な前記本体に対する針の移動を行い、前記組織に対して前記本体を移動させることによって縫合を行うことができるようにする、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の縫合システム。 - 前記各クランプは、前記リンク装置のサイクル動作で連接して、前記針の局所軸線に対して横方向に前記針を把持するようにし、
前記第1のクランプユニットのクランプが、第1の角度だけ角度的にオフセットして、前記第1の針の幾何形状の第1の円弧角度を前記クランプの間に収容するようにし、
前記第2のクランプユニットのクランプが、第2の角度だけ角度的にオフセットして、前記第2の針の幾何形状の第2の円弧角度を前記クランプの間に収容するようにし、
前記第1のクランプのオフセット角度が、前記第2のクランプの第2のオフセット角度とは異なる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の縫合システム。 - 前記各クランプは、前記リンク装置のサイクル動作で連接して、前記針の局所軸線に対して横方向に前記針を把持するようにし、
前記第1のクランプユニットのクランプが、第1の分離距離だけ分離されて、前記第1の針の幾何形状の第1の円弧長さを前記クランプの間に収容するようにし、
前記第2のクランプユニットのクランプが、第2の分離距離だけ分離されて、前記第2の針の幾何形状の第2の円弧長さを前記クランプ間に収容するようにし、
前記第1のクランプの第1の分離が、前記第2のクランプの第2の分離よりも大きい、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の縫合システム。 - 前記第1のクランプユニットの第1及び第2の延長部分が各々関連するクランプを支持し、前記第1及び第2の延長部分が、使用時に前記駆動ユニットの本体と前記第1の針との間で第1の長さに沿って延長部角度によって角度が付けられる、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の縫合システム。 - 前記第2のクランプユニットの第1及び第2の延長部分が各々関連するクランプを支持し、前記第1及び第2の延長部分が、使用時に前記駆動ユニットの本体と前記第1の針との間の第2の長さに沿って前記延長部角度によって角度が付けられ、前記第2の長さが、前記第1の長さとは異なる、
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の縫合システム。 - 前記クランプユニットがポリマーを含み、前記クランプユニットの針係合表面が金属を含み、前記クランプユニットが使い捨てクランプユニットを含み、前記駆動ユニットが金属を含み、繰り返し滅菌に耐えるように構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の縫合システム。
- 前記各クランプユニットが、使用に適切なクランプユニットを選択可能にするために、上に見える関連する針の大きさの表示を有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の縫合システム。 - 複数の異なる縫合針と共に用いるための縫合システムであって、
近位端及び遠位端を備えた本体を有する駆動ユニットと、
前記駆動本体の遠位端に解放可能に装着できる複数の交互切り替えクランプユニットと、
を備え、
前記各クランプユニットが、関連する針の関連する複数の箇所と係合するために複数のクランプを有し、前記クランプユニットのクランプが、前記異なる針を収容するように異なる幾何形状を定め、異なる組織を縫合するための用法を定める、
ことを特徴とする縫合システム。 - 各縫合針が、それに関連する標準の大きさ識別子を有する既成の縫合針であり、前記各クランプユニットが、前記関連する針の大きさ識別子の可視的表示を有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の縫合システム。 - 軸線をそれぞれ有する複数の異なる縫合針の中から選択した縫合針と共に用いるため、並びに近位端及び遠位端を備えた本体と、前記遠位端に近傍のインタフェースと、駆動ユニットリンク装置部分とを有する駆動ユニットと共に用いるための装置であって、
前記装置が、
前記駆動本体のインタフェースに解放可能に装着できるクランプユニットを含み、
前記クランプユニットが、複数のクランプと、前記駆動ユニットリンク装置部分によって作動されるクランプユニットリンク装置部分とを有し、前記クランプユニットが前記駆動ユニットに装着されて使用されるときには、前記クランプを交互に作動するようにし、
前記クランプが、これらの間に前記選択された針に対応する幾何形状を定め、前記針の軸方向に分離した箇所を把持するようにする、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 複数の交互に選択可能なクランプユニットを更に含み、

ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の縫合装置。 - 複数の異なる縫合針及び関連する複数の交互切り替えクランプユニットと共に用いるための縫合装置であって、
前記クランプユニットが各々、前記関連する針の関連する複数の箇所と係合するために複数のクランプを有し、前記クランプユニットが、前記異なる針を収容するようにその間に異なる幾何形状を定め、
前記装置が、
近位端及び遠位端を備えた本体を有する駆動ユニットと、
前記本体の遠位端の近傍に配置され、前記複数の交互切り替えクランプユニットの何れかを選択的に受け入れるインタフェースと、
前記関連する針を把持するのに好適に前記クランプを交互に連接するために、前記インタフェースに装着された前記選択クランプユニットのクランプに駆動結合されるように構成された駆動リンク装置部分と、
を含む、
ことを特徴とする縫合装置。 - 前記各クランプユニットが第1のクランプ及び第2のクランプを有し、前記各クランプが、把持表面を備える第1の顎部と、把持表面を備える第2の顎部と、前記把持表面間で開閉可能な顎部アパーチャと、前記顎部アパーチャに対向して前記顎部表面間に延びる少なくとも1つの顎部背面とを有し、前記駆動ユニットのリンク装置部分が、前記装着クランプユニットのクランプを作動可能に結合することにより、
前記駆動ユニットのリンク装置部分の第1のサイクル動作が、針把持箇所を超えて前記第1のクランプを遠位方向に駆動して、前記第1のクランプの少なくとも1つの顎部背面と前記関連する針との間の係合を促進するようにし、使用時に前記第1のクランプの把持表面を前記関連する針に係合するように前記第1のクランプを閉鎖し、前記第2のクランプを解放して前記第2のクランプを近位方向に引き出し、
前記駆動ユニットのリンク装置部分の第2のサイクル動作が、針把持箇所を超えて前記第2のクランプを遠位方向に駆動して、前記第2のクランプの少なくとも1つの顎部背面と前記関連する針との間の係合を促進するようにし、使用時に前記第2のクランプの前記把持表面を前記関連する針に係合するように前記第2のクランプを閉鎖し、前記第1のクランプを解放して前記第1のクランプを近位方向に引き出す、
ようにする、
ことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の縫合装置。
