Description
〔比較例1〕
本比較例では、実施例1で用いたものと同一のカーボンペーパーに、テトラフルオロエチレン−テトラフルオロプロピレン共重合体の10重量%溶液を含浸させた後、120℃で60分間加熱して乾燥することにより撥水処理して、ガス拡散層5,6を形成した以外は、実施例1と全く同様にして、ガス拡散層5,6について、水に対する接触角を測定すると共に、コーティング層11a,11b,12a,12bが形成されたガス拡散層5,6を得た。ガス拡散層5,6の水に対する接触角の測定結果を表1に示す。
〔比較例2〕
本比較例では、実施例1で用いたものと同一のカーボンペーパーを、380℃で30分間加熱して乾燥処理することにより撥水処理して、ガス拡散層5,6を形成した以外は、実施例1と全く同様にして、ガス拡散層5,6について、水に対する接触角を測定すると共に、コーティング層11a,11b,12a,12bが形成されたガス拡散層5,6を得た。ガス拡散層5,6の水に対する接触角の測定結果を表1に示す。
〔比較例3〕
本比較例では、実施例1で用いたものと同一のカーボンペーパーに、酸化チタンの5重量%水溶液を含浸させた後、500℃で30分間加熱して乾燥することにより親水化処理して、ガス拡散層5,6を形成した以外は、実施例1と全く同様にして、ガス拡散層5,6について、水に対する接触角を測定すると共に、コーティング層11a,11b,12a,12bが形成されたガス拡散層5,6を得た。ガス拡散層5,6の水に対する接触角の測定結果を表1に示す。
Claims (1)
- プロトン伝導性を備える固体高分子電解質膜と、該固体高分子電解質膜の一方の面上に設けられたカソード電極触媒層と、該固体高分子電解質膜の他方の面上に設けられたアノード電極触媒層と、各電極触媒層の該固体高分子電解質膜と反対側の面上に設けられたガス拡散層とを備える固体高分子型燃料電池用膜電極構造体において、
アノード側の該ガス拡散層は、カソード側の該ガス拡散層よりも小さな水に対する接触角を備え、
アノード側の該ガス拡散層と、該アノード電極触媒層との間に2種の互いに性質の異なるコーティング層を備えると共に、両コーティング層のうち該電極触媒層側のコーティング層に気相成長カーボンが含まれることを特徴とする固体高分子型燃料電池用膜電極構造体。
