Description
焼成後にコージェライトとなるように、タルク、カオリン、アルミナ、シリカ等を所定の配合割合で調合し、バインダー、界面活性剤、水を加え、所定の配合割合で混合して坏土を得た。コージェライト化原料については、粒度、成分等は最終的には気孔率、熱膨脹率に影響するが、適宜、当業者であれば選定することが可能であり、また、バインダー、界面活性剤についても適宜設定することが可能である。得られた坏土を、焼成後に表1に示すセル構造となるように乾燥、焼成段階での収縮率を考慮して、スリット幅を調整した口金を付けた押し出し成形機を用いて押し出し成形を行い、乾燥、焼成後に直径が100mmで長さが100mmの、セルの形状が略正方形となるハニカム構造体を作製した。
実施例1において、セル構造を表1に示すように変えたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にした。平均排ガス温度の上昇について表1に示す。

Claims (4)
- 粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタの前段に設置するためのハニカム構造体であって、
複数の隔壁によって2つの端面間を互いに並行して連通する複数のセルが形成され、
複数の前記隔壁が、セラミックスから構成されるとともに、2種以上の厚さを有し、前記隔壁の厚さが、前記セルの中心軸に垂直な方向で切断した場合、一定パターンで構成されており、複数の前記隔壁のうち、最小厚の隔壁の厚さに対する最大厚の隔壁の厚さの比の値(最大厚の隔壁の厚さ/最小厚の隔壁の厚さ)が1.2以上、4.0以下であるハニカム構造体。 - 前記隔壁が、コージェライト、アルミナ、ムライト及びリチウムアルミノシリケート(LAS)からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種のセラミックスから構成された請求項1に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 請求項1又は2に記載のハニカム構造体に触媒がコーティングされている触媒コートハニカム構造体。
- 請求項1又は2に記載のハニカム構造体又は請求項3に記載の触媒コートハニカム構造体が、粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタの前段に設置されている浄化装置。
