Description
実用の小型エンジンの排気装置は、エンジンに排気管を接続し、この排気管の先端に消音器を取付けるようにすれば実用上十分であった。
筒状部材の底に金属網を備えることで、高温の排気ガス中に含む火の粉の吹出しを防止することができる。
図1は本発明に係る小型エンジンの排気装置を採用した携帯型作業機の左側面図であり、携帯型作業機(携帯型送風機)10は、ファンハウジング12と、このファンハウジング12に収納した送風ファン13と、この送風ファン13を駆動するためにファンハウジング12に外付けした原動機ユニット20と、ファンハウジング12からエアを吐出するためにファンハウジング12の吐出口15に取付けた吐出ダクト(送風管)16と、ファンハウジング12の吸込口17に取付けたファンカバー18と、ファンハウジング12の上部に取付けた主取っ手(ハンドル)19と、を主要構成とするブロアである。
なお、機体11は、ファンハウジング12、ファンカバー18及び主取っ手19から構成する。
ファンハウジング12は、ファンカバー18を取付ける左ファンハウジング31と、原動機ユニット(図3参照)を取付ける右ファンハウジング32と、から構成する。
なお、補強リブ35は、ファンカバー18の外径より外方に延ばしたリブであり、補強リブ36は、ボス部34に形成したファンカバー18の外径に沿わして形成したリブである。
吐出口15は、吐出口左側部38及び吐出口右側部48を合わせることで形成したものである。
吐出ダクト16は、吐出口15に取付ける後ダクト51と、この後ダクト51に取付け前ダクト52とからなる。なお、前ダクト52は、先端を先細りに形成した先端部(吐出口)53を備える。
なお、59はファンカバー18のエッジを示す。また、側面部(傾斜面)55のみに、開口56・・・を設けることで、作業中に作業者の衣服がファンカバー18に吸着してしまうことを防止でき、作業効率の向上を図ることができる。
図中、75は原動機ユニット(図3参照)を右ファンハウジング32に取付ける取付けねじ、76,76はワッシャ77,77を介して主取っ手19を右ファンハウジング32に取付ける取付けねじ、78はファンカバー18を左ファンハウジング31に取付ける取付けねじ、79は、スロットル保持レバー67を取っ手左半割り体61及び取っ手右半割り体62に取付ける取付けねじである。
出口側ケース103は、テールパイプ104を貫通させる排気口93と、ボルト用パイプ105,105にボルト97,97(図5参照)を通す孔118,118と、入口側ケース101及び仕切り板102を一体的に接合(カーリング)するためのカール部119と、を形成したものである。
なお、132は入力側ケース101及び仕切り板102から構成した第1膨張室、133は仕切り板102及び出力側ケース103から構成した第2膨張室を示す。
また、金属繊維製のフィルタ122の量を自在に設定することができ、用途に適合させることができるとともに、背圧の調整をした消音ピース(カートリッジ)を製作することもできる。
排気装置90は、エンジン14から排気管91を延出し、この排気管91に消音器92を取付け、この消音器92の排気口93から排気ガスを排出する排気装置において、消音器92に、排気口93に取付けるために底125に排気ガスを通過させる排気入口孔127を備えた筒状部材121と、この筒状部材121に内包することで排気音の低減をする金属繊維製のフィルタ122と、筒状部材121の開口126に取付けるために排気出口孔131を形成したキャップ部材123と、を備えたものである。
すなわち、筒状部材121の底125に金属網124を備えたので、高温の排気ガス中に含む火の粉の吹出しを防止することができる。この結果、簡易な構成で消音器に高温の排気ガス中に含む火の粉の吹出しを防止する機能(以下、「スパークアレスタ機能」という)を付加することができる。
Claims (2)
- エンジンから排気管を延出し、この排気管に消音器を取付け、この消音器の排気口から排気ガスを排出する排気装置において、
前記消音器は、前記排気口に取付けるために底に排気ガスを通過させる排気入口孔を備えた筒状部材と、この筒状部材に内包することで排気音の低減をする金属繊維製のフィルタと、前記筒状部材の開口に取付けるために排気出口孔を形成したキャップ部材と、を備えたことを特徴とする小型エンジンの排気装置。 - 前記筒状部材の底に金属網を備えることで、高温の排気ガス中に含む火の粉の吹出しを防止する機能を付加したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の小型エンジンの排気装置。
