Claims (5)
- 主巻線および始動巻線を有するモータの起動装置であって、
始動巻線に直列に接続された正特性サーミスタと、
正特性サーミスタと電源ライン間に接続されるトライアックと、
トライアックのゲート端子に接続されるトライアック制御回路とを有し、
前記トライアック制御回路は、前記電源ラインに電気的に直列に接続された1次巻線と当該1次巻線に結合された2次巻線を有し、1次巻線および2次巻線の巻線比に応じた電流を出力する電流変換器、および前記電流変換器から出力された電流を電圧に変換する抵抗器を含み、前記電流変換器および前記抵抗器に基づきトライアックのゲート端子にゲート電圧およびゲート電流を供給し、
トライアック制御回路は、モータ起動時の比較的大きな突入電流が表れるときに、トライアックが導通するしきい値以上の前記ゲート電圧および前記ゲート電流を前記ゲート端子に供給し、突入電流以降の電流が小さくなったとき、トライアックのしきい値よりも小さい前記ゲート電圧および前記ゲート電流を前記ゲート端子に供給し、モータの起動時に前記トライアックを導通させる、モータ起動装置。 - 前記抵抗器は可変抵抗器である、請求項1に記載のモータ起動装置。
- 前記突入電流は、モータの起動時から正特性サーミスタが高抵抗状態になるまでの期間の電流を含む、請求項1に記載のモータ起動装置。
- モータ起動装置はさらに、モータに直列に接続される過負荷保護装置を含み、該過負荷保護装置は、モータに過電流が流れたときに電流通路を遮断するバイメタルスイッチを含む、請求項1に記載のモータ起動装置。
- 前記過負荷保護装置は、バイメタルスイッチに直列に接続されるヒータを含む、請求項4に記載のモータ起動装置。
