Description
上記化成皮膜は、脱脂兼化成処理剤中に含まれる金属を合計量で0.1〜500mg/m2含むことが好ましい。
以下、本発明を詳細に説明する。
上記ジルコニウム、チタン及びハフニウムからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の供給源としては、皮膜形成能が高いことからZrF6 2−、TiF6 2−、HfF6 2−からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種を有する化合物が好ましい。

(Mw:親水基部分の重量,M:界面活性剤の分子量)
また、アニオン界面活性剤を用いると、発泡性が強いため作業上好ましくなく、酸性条件下では充分な洗浄性能が得られないために、良好な化成皮膜が得られない。カチオン界面活性剤を用いると、充分な洗浄性能が得られないため、良好な化成皮膜が得られないおそれがある。
上記高級アルコール(エチレンオキサイド付加物又はアルキレンオキサイド付加物)、シリコン系活性剤等の消泡性を有するノニオン界面活性剤を併用する場合は、消泡性を有するノニオン界面活性剤の合計量を、下限20ppm、上限100000ppmの範囲内とすることが好ましい。20ppm未満であると、充分な消泡効果が得られず好ましくない。100000ppmを超えると、脱脂力に優れたノニオン界面活性剤の配合量が低下し、充分な脱脂処理が行われないおそれがある。
本発明の脱脂兼化成処理剤は、上記(A)〜(E)の成分を配合することにより、化成皮膜中のフッ素濃度を低減させ、化成皮膜としての性能を向上させると推測される。又、これらの元素が皮膜中に混入することにより、皮膜の化学的安定性が増したり、皮膜のポロシティーが減少して結果として塗装後の性能が向上すると推測される。
特に好ましい組み合わせとしては、亜鉛、マンガン、及び、コバルトイオンからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の金属イオン(A)とアルカリ土類金属イオン(B)との組み合わせを挙げることができる。
上記化成反応促進剤としては特に限定されず、例えば、亜硝酸イオン、ニトロ基含有化合物、硫酸ヒドロキシルアミン、過硫酸イオン、亜硫酸イオン、次亜硫酸イオン、過酸化物、鉄(III)イオン、クエン酸鉄化合物、臭素酸イオン、過塩素酸イオン、塩素酸イオン、亜塩素酸イオン、並びに、アスコルビン酸、クエン酸、酒石酸、マロン酸、コハク酸及びそれらの塩等を挙げることができる。
上記化成反応促進剤は、上記化合物のうち、1種のみを使用しても、必要に応じて2種以上を併用してもよい。
市販の冷間圧延鋼板(SPCC−SD、日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)、亜鉛系めっき鋼板(GA鋼板、日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)、5000系アルミニウム(日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)又は6000系アルミニウム(日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)を基材として、下記の条件で塗装前処理を施した。
(1)塗装前処理
脱脂兼化成処理:ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル、ポリアルキレンアルキルエーテル、ジルコンフッ化水素酸、チタンフッ化水素酸、各金属の硝酸塩、シリカ(日産化学工業社製、日本アエロジル工業社製)を用いて表1に示す組成を有する化成処理剤を調製した。pHは、硝酸又は水酸化ナトリウムを用いて調整した。処理の初期段階における皮膜量は、46mg/m2であった。
乾燥処理:水洗処理後の金属基材を乾燥せずにウェットなまま次の塗装工程に入るもの、冷風乾燥させたものを作製した。なお、皮膜量は、「XRF1700」(島津製作所社製蛍光X線分析装置)を用いて、化成処理剤中に含まれる金属の合計量として分析した。
化成処理剤1L当たり1m2の金属基材を処理した後に、「パワーニクス110」(日本ペイント社製カチオン電着塗料)を用いて乾燥膜厚20μmになるように電着塗装し、水洗後、170℃で20分間加熱して焼き付け、試験板を作成した。
〈皮膜外観〉
各実施例及び比較例で調製された化成処理剤により得られた化成皮膜を、冷風乾燥させた後、皮膜外観を目視で観察した。
〇:ムラなし
×:ムラあり
化成処理剤1L当たり1m2の金属基材を処理した後、化成処理剤中の濁りを目視観察した。
〇:濁りなし
×:濁りあり
得られた試験板に、素地まで達する縦平行カットを2本入れた後、5%NaCl水溶液中において50℃で480時間浸漬した。その後、カット部をテープ剥離し、塗料の剥離を観察した。
◎:剥離なし
〇:若干剥離
×:剥離幅3mm以上
評価結果は、表3に示す。
「サーフクリーナーEC92」(日本ペイント社製脱脂剤:2質量%)で40℃、2分間浸漬処理した後、水道水で30秒間スプレー処理した。次に、サーフファイン5N−8M(日本ペイント社製)を用いて室温で30秒間表面調整を行い、サーフダインSD−6350(日本ペイント社製リン酸亜鉛系化成処理剤)を用いて35℃で2分間浸漬処理を行うことで化成処理を施した後、実施例と同様に電着塗装を行い試験板を得た。
Claims (6)
- ジルコニウム、チタン及びハフニウムからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種、フッ素、並びに、ノニオン界面活性剤からなる脱脂兼化成処理剤であって、
前記ノニオン界面活性剤は、HLB値が9〜17であり、含有量が固形分として20〜300000ppmである
ことを特徴とする脱脂兼化成処理剤。 - 更に、亜鉛、マンガン、及び、コバルトイオンからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の金属イオン(A)、
アルカリ土類金属イオン(B)、
周期律表第三属金属イオン(C)、
銅イオン(D)、及び、
ケイ素含有化合物(E)からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種である密着性付与剤を含有する請求項1記載の脱脂兼化成処理剤。 - 更に、亜硝酸イオン、ニトロ基含有化合物、硫酸ヒドロキシルアミン、過硫酸イオン、亜硫酸イオン、次亜硫酸イオン、過酸化物、鉄(III)イオン、クエン酸鉄化合物、臭素酸イオン、過塩素酸イオン、塩素酸イオン、亜塩素酸イオン、並びに、アスコルビン酸、クエン酸、酒石酸、マロン酸、コハク酸及びそれらの塩からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種の化成反応促進剤を1〜5000ppm含有する請求項1又は2記載の脱脂兼化成処理剤。
- 更に、硝酸イオン、硫酸イオン、ヘキサフルオロケイ素イオン、テトラフルオロホウ素イオン及びフッ化物イオンからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種の陽イオンを質量基準で5〜30000ppm含有する請求項1、2又は3記載の脱脂兼化成処理剤。
- 請求項1、2、3又は4記載の脱脂兼化成処理剤により形成された化成皮膜を有することを特徴とする表面処理金属。
- 化成皮膜は、脱脂兼化成処理剤中に含まれる金属を合計量で0.1〜500mg/m2含む請求項5記載の表面処理金属。
