Description

【0001】
【0051】

The plurality of needle main body portions 14 a are configured to pass through the work cloth 80 and the wool yarn 81 while being pushed in. The needle holding portion 14 b is composed of a small-diameter portion in the upper half and a large-diameter portion in the lower half, and the small-diameter portion is held by the second holding portion 52 of the needle attachment 50.
[0037]
The punching needle 14 is attached via a needle attachment 50 at a position shifted from the needle bar 30 to the left by a predetermined distance, so that the thread waste falling into the bed portion 1 through the needle hole 12a by needle punching processing. Fiber waste such as cloth waste and cloth waste is accommodated in a dust box 16 mounted on the lower side of the needle plate 12 so that the fiber waste is not entangled with the shuttle mechanism 10.
[0038]
As shown in FIG. 7 and FIG. 14, the needle attachment 50 is a pair of front and rear clamping members that are formed in a block shape extending horizontally to the left and right and that form first and second clamping portions 51 and 52 that are cylindrical holes. 53, 54. A pair of first concave portions 53a and 54a having a semicircular arc shape in plan view forming the first clamping portion 51 are formed on the right side portions of the pair of clamping members 53 and 54, respectively, while facing each other. A pair of second recesses 53b, 54b having a semicircular arc shape in plan view, which form the second clamping part 52, are formed on the left side portions of the clamping members 53, 54 so as to face each other.
[0039]
Three screws 55 to 57 having different screw diameters are attached to the needle attachment 50 in the front-rear direction (the direction in which the needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 are sandwiched). That is, three holes slightly larger than the screw diameters of the three screws 55 to 57 are formed in the front holding member 53, respectively, while the rear holding member 54 has three screws. Three holes each having a female thread that matches the thread diameter of 55 to 57 are formed. The three screws 55 to 57 are respectively inserted into the three holes of the front holding member 53 and can be screwed into the three holes of the rear holding member 54, respectively. In a state where the three screws 55 to 57 are loosened (a state where the fastening state is released), the pair of clamping members 53 and 54 are configured to be separable from each other. And it is comprised so that the needle bar 30 and the punching needle | hook 14 may be clamped by the 1st, 2nd clamping parts 51 and 52 by fastening the three screws 55-57. In addition, as shown in FIG. 3, the needle bar 30 is clamped by the first clamping unit 51 in a state where the pair of clamping members 53 and 54 are positioned in the vertical direction in contact with the upper end surface of the needle holder 33. The
[0040]
By the way, the diameter of the small diameter part of the needle holding part 14b is formed smaller than the diameter of the needle bar 30, and accordingly, the hole diameter of the second holding part 52 is also the first holding part 51 as shown in FIG. It is formed smaller than the hole diameter. Therefore, when the needle attachment 50 is attached to the needle bar 30, even if the needle bar 30 is mistakenly held by the second recesses 53b and 54b forming the second holding part 52, the second holding part 52 having a small hole diameter. Then, since the needle bar 30 cannot be clamped, the operator immediately notices the mistake.
[0041]
A positioning pin 58 that protrudes rearward is provided in a portion on the right side of the second recess 53b of the front holding member 53, while a pin hole in which the positioning pin 58 can be engaged is provided in the rear holding member 54. 59 is formed. When the pair of holding members 53 and 54 are connected, the positioning pin 58 is engaged with the pin hole 59 so that the position of the one holding member 53 and 54 with respect to the other can be easily determined. It has become.
[0042]
Further, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 14, a recess 53 c to which the head of the mounting screw 42 can be engaged is formed on the right side of the lower end of the first recess 53 a, 54 a of the pair of front and rear clamping members 53, 54. , 54c (rotation restricting portions) are formed, and in the state where the needle bar 30 is clamped by the first clamping portion 51, the heads of the mounting screws 42 are engaged with the recesses 53c, 54c, respectively. The rotation with respect to the needle bar 30 is restricted.
[0043]
As shown in FIGS. 3, 7, and 14, in a state where the pair of front and rear clamping members 53 and 54 are connected, the right part of the first clamping part 51 and the second clamping part52A slight gap is formed in the left part of each of the two screws, which serves as a tightening margin when the three screws 55 to 57 are tightened. Therefore, the needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 can be reliably clamped by the first clamping part 51 and the second clamping part 52, respectively.
[0044]
Next, the operation of the sewing machine M will be described. First, in a state where the sewing needle 13 with the eye hole 13a is attached to the needle holder 33 provided at the lower end portion of the needle bar 30 with the screw 40 (see FIG. 8), normal sewing is performed and the work cloth on the needle plate 11 is applied. Seams can be formed. That is, when the needle bar 30 is moved up and down by the needle bar vertical movement mechanism 31, the upper thread extending downward from the eye hole 13 a of the sewing needle 13 is captured by the sword tip of the shuttle mechanism 10 located below the needle plate 11. In this state, the work is pulled up by the balance 32, and stitches are formed on the work cloth.
[0045]
On the other hand, when the punching needle 14 performs needle punching on the work cloth 80, the screw 40 is loosened to remove the sewing needle 13 from the needle holder 33, and then the screw 40 is tightened. Thereafter, the needle plate 11 for normal sewing is removed, and the needle plate 12 for needle punching is attached to the bed portion 1. And in the state which pinched the needle holding | maintenance part 14b of the needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 with the pair of clamping members 53 and 54 of the needle attachment 50 separated from each other, the three screws 55 to 57 are tightened to the first, The needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 are clamped by the second clamping parts 51 and 52, respectively, and the punching needle 14 is attached to a position separated from the needle bar 30 to the left by a predetermined distance.
[0046]
After the protective cover holder 45 is connected to the lower end of the presser bar 44, the wool 81 is passed through the guide hole 48f and the circular hole 48e, and then the wool 81 is placed on the work cloth 80. After this series of operations is completed, the presser foot lifting lever 49 is operated to lower the presser foot 48. With the presser foot 48 pressing the work cloth 80 and the yarn 81, the needle bar 30 is moved by the needle bar up-and-down moving mechanism 31. Move up and down.
[0047]
Then, as shown in FIG. 12 and FIG. 13, the plurality of needle main body portions 14 a are hooked by a plurality of hooking claws 14 c formed on the plurality of needle main body portions 14 a of the punching needle 14 while a part of the wool yarn 81 is hooked. A part of the wool yarn 81 penetrating the work cloth 80 and the wool yarn 81 and hooked on the hooking claw 14 c is pushed into the work cloth 80, and a decorative pattern is formed on the work cloth 80. At this time, the punching needle 14 is located at a predetermined distance from the needle bar 30 to the left in the horizontal direction, and fiber waste such as yarn waste and cloth waste generated by the needle punching process described above is the needle of the needle plate 12. Therefore, with the pair of clamping members 53 and 54 separated forward and backward, the needle holding portion 14b of the needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 is sandwiched between the clamping members 53 and 54 from the front and rear. Since the screws 55 to 57 can be fastened, the punching needle 14 can be attached to the needle bar 30 from the horizontal direction, and the punching needle 14 can be easily attached. Further, since the three screws 55 to 57 are used as the fastening members for fastening the pair of clamping members 53 and 54, nuts are not necessary, and the punching needle 14 can be attached more easily.
[0051]
  3) Since a positioning pin 58 projecting rearward is provided on the front clamping member 53, and a pin hole 59 in which the positioning pin 58 can be engaged is formed in the rear clamping member 54, a pair of clamping members Since the positioning pin 58 can be engaged with the pin hole 59 and positioned in a state where 53 and 54 are in the separated state, the position of one of the clamping members 53 and 54 with respect to the other can be easily determined. Moreover, since the pin hole 59 is provided in the rear clamping member 54, it is easy for the operator located in front of the sewing machine M to engage the positioning pin 58 with the pin hole 59.
[0052]
  4) In a state where the sewing needle 13 is attached to the needle clamp 33 fixed to the lower end portion of the needle bar 30, normal sewing can be performed to form a stitch on the work cloth on the needle plate 11, and the needle attachment 50 can In a state where the punching needle 14 is attached at a position spaced a predetermined distance from the bar 30 to the left in the horizontal direction, the work cloth 80 on the needle plate 12 can be subjected to needle punching, and normal sewing can be performed with one sewing machine M. Both operations of needle punching can be performed.
[0053]
  5) In a state where the needle bar 30 is clamped by the first clamping part 51, the mounting screw 42 for fixing the needle bar thread guide 34 to the needle bar 30 in the recesses 53c, 54c formed in the pair of clamping members 53, 54. Therefore, the rotation of the needle attachment 50 with respect to the needle bar 30 can be restricted with a simple structure, and the needle attachment 50 can be attached more easily.
[0054]
  6) The diameter of the needle bar 30 and the diameter of the small diameter part of the needle holding part 14b of the punching needle 14 are different, and the holes of the first and second clamping parts 51 and 52 that clamp the needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 Since the diameters are also formed differently, even if the operator makes a mistake in the direction in which the needle attachment 50 is attached, it can be easily recognized.
