Description
この誘導構造によれば、排気ガスの流れが、排気ガス用センサに指向され、排気ガスの変化に対する応答性が著しく向上するので、この排気ガス用センサの出力を基に行われるさまざまな制御を時間遅れ無く、精度良く行うことができるようになる。
また、図3に示す第2の実施の形態の排気ガス浄化装置50Bにおいては、排気ガスの流れをNOx触媒出口λセンサ(酸素濃度センサ)55に導くための誘導構造として、第1の実施の形態の構造に加えて、更に、排気ガス入口に接続される入口側排気管20aが、NOx触媒出口λセンサ55の方向に向かって排気ガスを流すように、排気ガス浄化装置50Bの軸心に対して傾斜して取り付けられて形成される。

Claims (6)
- 排気通路の途中に設けられた排気ガス浄化装置の容器の中に複数の排気ガス浄化部材が直列に配置された装置で、前記排気ガス浄化部材の間に排気ガス用センサが設けられている装置において、入口側において容器の横断面の中心から前記酸素濃度センサと反対側に偏心した位置に排気ガス入口を設けると共に、出口側において容器の横断面の中心から前記酸素濃度センサと同じ側に偏心した位置に排気ガス出口を設けたことを特徴とする排気ガスの流れを前記排気ガス用センサに導く誘導構造。
- 排気ガスの空燃比が、リーン状態の場合にNOxを吸蔵し、かつ、リッチ状態の場合に吸蔵していたNOxを放出すると共に還元するNOx吸蔵還元型触媒と、該NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の下流側に連続して酸化触媒とを同一容器内に配置し、更に、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒と前記酸化触媒との間に酸素濃度センサを配置した一体型の排気ガス浄化装置において、入口側において容器の横断面の中心から前記酸素濃度センサと反対側に偏心した位置に排気ガス入口を設けると共に、出口側において容器の横断面の中心から前記酸素濃度センサと同じ側に偏心した位置に排気ガス出口を設けた排気ガスの流れを前記酸素濃度センサに導く誘導構造を採用したことを特徴とする排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記誘導構造において、前記排気ガス入口に接続される入口側排気管が、前記酸素濃度センサの方向に向かって排気ガスを流すように、前記排気ガス浄化装置の軸心に対して傾斜して取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記誘導構造を、前記排気ガス浄化装置の内部の排気ガスの通路において、NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の上流側、又は下流側の少なくとも一方に、排気ガスが前記酸素濃度センサの方向に向かって流れるように前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に所定距離離間して少なくとも前記酸素センサと同じ側に透孔を有する誘導板を設けた構造で形成したことを特徴とする請求項2又は3記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記誘導構造を、前記排気ガス浄化装置の内部の排気ガスの通路において、NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の上流側、又は下流側の少なくとも一方に、排気ガスが前記酸素濃度センサの方向に向かって流れるように前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の中心部前面に排気ガスの流れを外周部に誘導する誘導板を設けた構造で形成したことを特徴とする請求項2又は3記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記酸化触媒の代わりに、ディーゼルパティキュレートフィルタを設けたことを特徴とする請求項2〜5のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
