Thus, the present invention provides an air purifier that includes a dirt detection sensor including a light emitting device and a light receiving device and operates according to the output of the dirt detection sensor. Flowing the purified air after passing through the filter, in the vicinity of the light emitting surface of the light emitting device and the light receiving surface of the light receiving device in the dirt detection sensor that is disposed in the flow path and detects dirt of the air flowing in the air flow path It is characterized in that it is provided with a stain prevention means for shutting off the light emitting device and the light receiving device from the atmosphere of dirty air. [Operation] According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent dirt in the air from adhering to the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface by the purified air flowing near the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface. [Embodiment] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the illustrated embodiment. As shown in FIG. 3, the illustrated air purifier 1 is attached to a rear tray that separates a trunk room and a cabin of the automobile 5. This is a type in which a suction port 11 and a discharge port 12 are exposed through a louver 13 in a vehicle interior, and as shown in FIGS. However, a discharge port 12 is formed on the upper surface on the other side. A motor 20 and a fan 22 are provided below the suction port 11 in the housing 10, and a filter unit 23 is detachably provided below the discharge port 12. In the figure, reference numeral 24 denotes a wind tunnel for the fan 22. The reason why the filter unit 23 is set in an inclined state is to reduce the thickness of the housing 10 and reduce the space occupied in the trunk room. The inside of the housing 10 is a filter unit.
The suction port 11 side and the discharge port 12 side are partitioned by a partition plate 25 also serving as a mounting base for the filter unit 23 and the filter unit 23, but in the air flow path from the fan 22 to the filter unit 23. Is provided with a dirt detection sensor 3. The dirt detection sensor 3 includes a cylindrical case 30, and a light emitting device 31 and a light receiving device 32 disposed in an upper portion of the case 30, and light emitted from the light emitting device 31 is generated by smoke particles and dust in the air. When the light is scattered, dirt in the air is detected by detecting the scattered light with the light receiver 32. The motor 20 constantly rotates at a low speed with the engine of the automobile running, and the dirt detection sensor 3 detects the dirt in the air. When it is detected that the dirt of the toner has reached a required level or more, automatic operation is performed in which the motor 20 shifts to high-speed rotation to enhance the air cleaning function. Then, the case 30 of the dirt detection sensor 3 here
Is connected to the discharge port 12 by an air introduction pipe 33, and a part of the purified air that has passed through the filter unit 23 flows into the case 30 through the air introduction pipe 33,
By means of a guide plate 34 and an exhaust port 35 attached to the inside of the case 30, the purified air allows the light-emitting surface and the light-receiving surface
It passes through the name surface of 32 light receiving surfaces. That is, the purified air blocks the light emitting device 31 and the light receiving device 32 from the atmosphere of the contaminated air, so that the light emitting surface of the light emitting device 31 and the light receiving surface of the light receiving device 32 are contaminated with air. Is not attached, and therefore, the stain detection sensor 3 does not malfunction due to the attached stain. In guiding purified air to the dirt detection sensor 3,
A separate motor fan may be used. Also, not the purified air immediately after passing through the filter unit 23, but the air inside the housing 10 and outside the wind tunnel 24 or the trunk room 50.
The air which is almost purified inside may be guided by suction using the pressure difference.

As described above, in the present invention, the purified air flowing in the vicinity of the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface prevents dirt in the air from adhering to the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface. A malfunction due to the attachment of dirt to the light receiving surface does not occur, and the life can be extended.
