Abstract

To provide a kit for creating miniature replicas of food or beverage items.SOLUTION: The kit includes a base object that forms a base of a miniature replica of a food or beverage item. The base object includes a miniature replica of a component of the food or beverage item. The kit includes a resin container. The resin container stores a resin configured to be applied to and adhered to the base object. The resin container includes a miniature replica of a container associated with the food or beverage item. The kit includes one or more raw material objects configured to be at least partially embedded in the resin. The present invention relates to a kit for creating miniature replicas of food or beverage items.

Do-It-Yourself (DIY) toys and collectibles are frequently used to build models of real-world objects or toys. Many of these toys utilize a hardenable resin in conjunction with a mold designed to release the hardened resin to produce the finished toy or component. The resin is therefore designed to separate from and not adhere to the underlying mold. This places limitations on designs that may rely on a composite of hardenable and non-hardenable solid elements.

In addition, physical limitations associated with the resin and the curing process prevent the manufacture of certain types of objects. To cure the resin, direct exposure to a curing catalyst is required, whether the resin is thermally cured or cured by other means such as ultraviolet light. As a result, molds and molding surfaces are designed with a generally flat shape to allow a surface area of the resin to be exposed to heat or light and harden the resin. Furthermore, in the case of thermosetting resins, ovens or other heating devices are required, which can pose a safety hazard to users.

Currently, there are no DIY toys or collectibles that allow for the construction of sophisticated models of objects that utilize composites of both hardened and unhardened elements. Thus, improvements are needed in systems and kits for the DIY creation of sophisticated models and collectibles of various shapes.

Although the methods, compositions, and products are described herein by way of examples and embodiments, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the described methods, compositions, and products for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items are not limited to the described embodiments or drawings. It is understood that the drawings and description are not intended to be limited to the particular forms disclosed. Rather, the intent is to encompass all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives that fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Any headings used herein are for organizational purposes only and are not meant to limit the scope of the description or claims. As used herein, the word "possible" is used in a permissive sense (i.e., having the potential) rather than a required sense (i.e., a required sense). Similarly, the words "include," "including," and "includes" mean to include, but not be limited to.

FIG. 1 illustrates components of a miniature replica kit 100 according to an exemplary embodiment. A miniature replica kit is a product that can be used to create a miniature replica of an object. While this specification relates to a kit used to create a miniature replica of a food or beverage item, it is understood that the miniature replica kit can also be used to create other categories of models/replicas. For example, the miniature replica kit can be used to create replicas of objects such as plants, rooms, terrains, landscapes, structures, buildings, etc.

The miniature replica kit 100 includes at least one base object 101 that forms a base for a miniature replica of a food or beverage item. The at least one base object includes a miniature replica of a part of the food or beverage item. As described in more detail below, the base object forms a part of the miniature replica of the food or beverage item and is configured to receive a resin that is applied to the at least one base object. Unlike conventional DIY systems that use a mold designed to release a cured resin, the base object of the present system is configured to adhere to and bond with the resin as the resin is cured.

2 illustrates different types of base objects 101 according to an exemplary embodiment. The base object can be a beverage container 101A. For example, as shown in box 101A-1, the base object can be a cold beverage container and lid, a boba/bubble tea container and lid, or a mason jar with a handle. These examples are provided for illustrative purposes only, and it is understood that the base object can include miniature replicas of other types of beverage containers, such as cups, coffee cups, mugs, wine glasses, mason jars, mason jars with handles, milkshake glasses, slush cups, and/or tumblers. In an exemplary embodiment, the beverage container can be 35 mm (millimeters) to 45 mm in length. For example, the cold beverage container can be 35 to 40 mm in length. The boba cup and lid can be 40 to 45 mm in length. The beverage container can have a width of 20 to 35 mm, depending on the type of container.

The base object may be a food dish 101B. For example, as shown in box 101B-1, the base object may be a bowl, such as a cereal bowl or a fruit bowl. The base object may of course include miniature replicas of other types of tableware, cookware, or dishes, such as plates, pots, bakery trays, cake stands, sorbet cups, and/or pie dishes. In an exemplary embodiment, the dish is a cereal bowl having a height of 15-20 mm. In another exemplary embodiment, the dish is a fruit bowl having a height of 25-30 mm and a width of 25-30 mm.

The base object may be a food item 101C. Box 101C-2 shows examples of base objects corresponding to foods such as donuts, cinnamon rolls, or waffles. The base object may be other foods such as ice cream, French toast, toast, cake, pie, pie crust, cheesecake, pancakes, or other foods.

A kit may also include multiple base objects. For example, a kit may include base objects for pancakes and a plate. In this case, resin (forming syrup) and various toppings can be applied to both the pancakes and the plate to create the finished dish.

Returning to FIG. 1, the miniature replica kit also includes a resin container. The resin container stores a resin configured to be applied to and adhere to the base object. The resin can be applied to the base object in a variety of ways. For example, if the base object is a container such as a bowl or cup, the resin can be applied to the interior of the container such that the container holds the resin. In another example, if the base object is a food object such as a donut, waffle, or pastry, the resin can be applied to the top of the base object as a glaze or topping.

Unlike existing DIY systems that use molds designed to release cured resin, the resin in this system is configured to adhere to and bond with a base object when the resin is cured.

The resin may be an ultraviolet curable resin configured to solidify upon exposure to ultraviolet light, thereby securing the resin to the base object. The resin may be configured to cure/activate upon exposure to ambient ultraviolet light, such as sunlight or daylight, such that a user can simply place the finished food and beverage item in sunlight (e.g., on a window sill or outdoors) to harden the resin. As discussed in more detail below, the resin may also be configured to at least partially secure one or more ingredient objects within the resin.

Figure 3 shows examples of different resin containers according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in box 102A, the resin containers can be modeled to look like miniature replicas of milk tea bottles, juice bottles, glaze bottles, coffee bottles, or milk cartons. Of course, the resin containers may also be miniature replicas of other types of containers, such as maple syrup bottles, chocolate syrup bottles, freezer containers, liquor bottles, soda bottles, or other types of bottles.

The resin container may be a miniature replica of a container associated with the food or beverage item being produced with the kit. For example, the resin container may be a miniature replica of a container of an ingredient used to create the food or beverage item. Using the example shown in FIG.
-Milk tea bottle: contains milk tea, an ingredient used to make boba/bubble tea;
- Juice bottle: contains juice, an ingredient used to make berry punch or lemonade;
- Glaze/Syrup Bottles: Contains glaze or syrup, which are ingredients used to make donuts, pastries, or cakes;
- a coffee bottle, which contains coffee, an ingredient used to make coffee drinks such as lattes or cappuccinos; or - a milk bottle, which contains milk, an ingredient found in many foods and drinks, e.g. cereals.

Resin containers may also be miniature replicas of peanut butter bottles, cream bottles, jam/jelly containers, etc.

Referring to FIG. 1, the miniature replica kit 100 also includes an ingredient object. The ingredient object is configured to be at least partially embedded in the resin. The one or more ingredient objects include a miniature replica of one or more ingredients associated with the food or beverage item. The ingredient objects can be fully embedded in the resin, such as in the case of replica ice cubes in a beverage, or can be partially embedded in the resin, such as in the case of sprinkles on a glaze.

Figure 4 shows examples of different ingredient objects according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in box 103A, the ingredients may be modeled to look like miniature replicas of tapioca bubbles (boba/bubble tea), ice cubes, lime, sprinkles, cereal, chocolate chips, raspberries, and/or whipped cream. Of course, the ingredient objects could be miniature replicas of other types of ingredients, such as toppings (such as candy or chocolate), other types of fruits (such as strawberries, bananas, etc.), vegetables, garnishes, pasta, macaroni, rice, risotto, or any other type of ingredient used in food and beverages.

As explained above, an ingredient object may be a miniature replica of an ingredient associated with a food or beverage item to be created with the kit. For example, an ingredient may be a miniature replica of an ingredient used to create a food or beverage item. Using the example shown in FIG. 4, an ingredient object may be:
- Tapioca bubbles: Tapioca bubbles are the raw material used to make boba/bubble tea food/drink items. In an exemplary embodiment, the tapioca bubbles may have a diameter between 3-5 mm;
- Ice Cubes: Ice cubes are an ingredient used to make iced drink food/beverage items such as boba, lemonade, fruit punch, etc.;
- Lime: Lime is an ingredient used to make food/drink items such as limeade and cocktails;
- Sprinkles: Sprinkles are an ingredient used to make food/drink items such as cupcakes, donuts, cakes, ice cream, etc.;
- Cereal: Cereal is the raw material used to make the food/drink item of a bowl of cereal;
- Chocolate chips: Chocolate chips are an ingredient used to make food/drink items such as donuts, pasties, cakes, cupcakes, muffins, etc.;
- Berries: Berries are ingredients used to make food/drink items such as berry punch, fruit salad, etc.; and/or - Whipped cream: Whipped cream is an ingredient used to make food/drink items such as hot chocolate, lattes, mochas, ice cream sundaes, etc.

As previously mentioned, the resin is configured to solidify when exposed to ultraviolet light, thereby bonding the resin to the base object and at least partially fixing one or more ingredient objects within the resin. The ingredient objects described above may be at least partially embedded in the resin and fixed within the resin when the resin is cured. The ingredient objects may further include replicas of lime slices, lemon slices, pineapple rings, chocolate chips, sprinkles, blueberries, orange slices, strawberries, chocolate bars, banana slices, marshmallows, avocado slices, cherries, blackberries, and the like.

Returning to FIG. 1, the miniature replica kit 100 can include a container 104 housing a base object 101, a resin container 102, one or more ingredient objects 103, and optional accessories 105. The container is configured to house the components while maintaining as small a footprint as volumetrically possible. Additionally, at least a portion of the container body is reconfigurable to function as a display device for the miniature replica of the food or beverage item created with the kit.

Figures 5A-5B show a container according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in box 104A in Figure 5A, the container can be contained in one or more layers of packaging. As shown in the removed packaging view, the container can be a hemispherical bowl, with a flat bottom and a dome-shaped transparent top. The container can be separated into two parts to remove the other parts of the kit contained within the container (e.g., base object, resin container, other objects, and accessories).

5B illustrates the reconfiguration of the container body into a display device for food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in box 104B, the container can be separated into two parts, namely a transparent upper dome 500 and a lower part 501. The bottom part 501 of the container body can function as a platter. In addition, the container can store a handle piece 502 designed to be inserted into the upper dome 500 to allow the upper dome to function as a platter lid. The top drawing of box 104B shows the container separated into the upper dome 500 and lower part 501 along with the handle piece 502. The center drawing of box 104B shows the handle piece 502 inserted into the upper dome 500. The bottom drawing of box 104B shows the container reconfigured into a display platter, with the lower part 501 acting as the bottom of the platter and the upper dome 500 and handle piece 502 acting as the platter lid. As shown in the image below, the food and beverage items are displayed under the transparent dome 500 of the platter.

Returning to FIG. 1, the miniature replica kit may further include one or more accessories. The accessories may be objects at least partially embedded in the resin. The accessories may be objects that form part of a display of food or beverage items, such as serving or display platters or placemats. Additionally, the accessories may be miniature replicas of plates or utensils associated with the food or beverage items, such as spoons, forks, serving spoons, and straws. Accessories may also be used to manipulate components of the kit, such as ingredient objects that resemble utensils, such as tongs used to pick up ingredients, such as replica ice cubes, replica fruit pieces, or replica tapioca bubbles. In an exemplary embodiment, the tongs may have a width (at their widest point) of 7-8 mm and a length of 45-55 mm.

Figure 6 shows examples of different accessories according to an exemplary embodiment. An example of accessories 105 is shown in box 105A. As shown, the accessories can include serving platters, tongs, placemats, spoons, straws, forks, and/or serving trays. In an exemplary embodiment, the boba straws can have a diameter of 4-6 mm and the non-boba type straws can have a diameter of 1-3 mm. Additional accessories can include miniature dollies, tables, coasters, garnishes, serving spoons, etc.

While each kit for creating miniature replicas of food or beverage items is unique, each kit is constructed from components that match and relate to the miniature replica of the food and beverage item. Furthermore, the components of the kit have complementary properties to ensure that the miniature replica of the food and beverage item can be constructed and cured.

The base object and resin contain complementary properties that allow the resin to remain adhered to the base object prior to exposure to UV light and allow UV light to penetrate the resin, thereby allowing hardening of the resin in its applied form.

7 illustrates base object and resin properties that can form complementary properties, according to an exemplary embodiment. Base object properties 701 can include color, translucency, opacity, shape, resin application area, and base object type. Resin application area properties refer to the location on or within the base where the resin is to be applied. For example, the resin application area may be on the surface of the base object, such as for a replica donut, or within the object, such as for a replica glass or beverage container. Also, base object type properties refer to the type of base object, such as the types shown in FIG. 2 (beverage container, food dish, food, etc.). Resin properties 702 can include color, translucency, opacity, viscosity, and density. As illustrated in FIG. 7, base object properties 701 and resin properties can be complementary such that the resin remains adhered to the base object prior to exposure to ultraviolet light and allows the ultraviolet light to penetrate the resin.

Figure 8 shows an example of complementary base object and resin properties according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in Figure 8, resin 802 is designed to have the appearance of milk (e.g., for cereal food) and is therefore opaque. However, for the UV curing process, it is necessary to ensure that sufficient UV light penetrates the resin to allow the resin to cure. However, since the resin itself is opaque and is applied within the base object (e.g., "milk" is poured into a "cereal bowl"), the base object (the cereal bowl) needs to be translucent to ensure that the UV light passes through the base object and penetrates the resin.

Figure 9 illustrates another example of complementary base object and resin properties, according to an example embodiment. In the example of Figure 9, the base object 901 is a donut, and the base object's resin application area property is the exposed resin application area of the donut. Because the resin application area is not contained within the base object (such as the interior of a container), but rather is an area on the surface of the base object, the resin 902 can have a complementary property of high viscosity to ensure that the resin does not run off the surface of the base object as it is applied to the base object.

In addition to base objects and resins having complementary properties, resin properties can be customized based on other factors. FIG. 10 illustrates resin properties that can be customized according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in FIG. 10, resin properties 1001 can be customized based on the food or beverage item 1002 configured to be created by the kit, the corresponding ingredient object 1003 in the kit, and/or the corresponding base object 1004 in the kit. Customizable resin properties can include color, translucency, opacity, viscosity, and/or density.

FIG. 11 illustrates an example of resin properties customized for a corresponding food or beverage item created by a kit, a corresponding ingredient object, and a corresponding base object, according to an exemplary embodiment. As shown in FIG. 11, resin properties 1101 include brown, high concentration, and high viscosity.

The brown color property may be a result of the food or beverage item 1102 being a chocolate glazed donut. In this case, the color of the resin may be selected to match the color of the chocolate glaze. Similarly, a white opaque color resin may be used for milk in a cereal bowl object, a red transparent color may be used for berry punch, a green transparent color may be used for limeade, and/or an opaque light brown resin may be used for a latte or coffee based beverage object.

The high density property may be the result of the ingredient 1103 being a chocolate chip topping designed to be placed on top of the resin. Because the chocolate chip replica is designed to be placed on top of the resin, it is important that the resin has a sufficient density to ensure that the chocolate chips do not pass through the resin. In certain miniature replica kits, the resin may be configured to have a low density. For example, for boba, lemonade, or other beverages that contain ingredients such as ice cubes, the resin should have a lower density to ensure that the ingredients do not float on the surface of the resin, but instead sink into the resin.

The high viscosity property may be the result of the base object 1104 being a donut with an exposed resin application area. In this case, since the resin is applied to the surface of the base object, it is important to have sufficient viscosity so that the resin does not run off the edges of the donut before hardening. Miniature replica kits for other types of objects may utilize lower viscosity resins. For example, food and beverages that utilize containers may use a lower viscosity resin because the container can accommodate the resin running off and dripping off the sides of the container.

FIG. 12 shows an example of a kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. The kit shown in FIG. 12 is used to make a miniature replica of a berry punch. The kit includes a base object including a container top 1202, a container bottom 1203, a handle attachment 1201, a cup 1204B with a lid 1204A, a straw 1206, a placemat 1205, a resin container in the form of a juice box 1207, ingredient objects in the form of berries 1208 contained in the miniature replica berry container, and ice cubes 1209 contained in a miniature replica ice bag. The ruler on the upper left side of the figure shows the approximate size of the miniature parts in inches. The ingredients (ice cubes 1209 and berries 1208) are added to the base object (cup 1204B and lid 1204A) along with resin from the resin container (juice container 1207) and straw 1206 to create the finished berry punch 1210. Additionally, the handle attachment 1201 is inserted into the container top 1202 (e.g., via a snap-fit mechanism) and, together with the container bottom 1203, serves as a display device for the belly punch 1210.

FIG. 13 illustrates another example of a kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. The kit shown in FIG. 13 is used to make a miniature replica of a bowl of cereal. The kit includes a base object including a container top 1302, a container bottom 1303, a handle attachment 1301, a bowl 1304, a spoon 1308, a placemat 1306, a resin container in the form of a milk carton 1307, and an ingredient object in the form of cereal 1309 contained in a miniature replica cereal container 1309. The ruler on the upper left side of the illustration indicates the approximate size of the miniature parts in inches. The ingredient (cereal 1309) is added to the base object (bowl 1304) along with resin from the resin container (milk carton 1307) and spoon 1308 to form a finished bowl of cereal 1310. Additionally, the handle attachment 1301 is inserted (e.g., via a snap-fit mechanism) into the container top 1302 and, together with the container bottom 1303, serves as a display device for the bowl of cereal 1310.

14 illustrates another example of a kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. The kit illustrated in FIG. 14 is used to make a miniature replica of a chocolate glazed donut. The kit includes a container top 1402, a container bottom 1403, a handle attachment 1401, a base object including a donut 1404A contained in a miniature replica donut box 1404B, a placemat 1405, a serving platter 1406, a resin container in the form of a glaze container 1408, and ingredient objects in the form of chocolate chips 1409 contained in a miniature replica chocolate chip container. The ruler on the upper left side of the figure indicates the approximate size of the miniature parts in inches. Ingredients (chocolate chips 1409) are added to the base object (donut 1404A) along with resin from a resin container (glaze container 1408) and placed on a placemat 1405 and serving platter 1406 to create the finished chocolate glazed donut 1410. Additionally, a handle attachment 1401 is inserted (e.g., via a snap-fit mechanism) into container top 1402 and, together with container bottom 1403, serves as a display device for the chocolate glazed donut 1410.

15 shows another example of a kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. The kit shown in FIG. 15 is used to make a miniature replica of boba tea. The kit includes a base object including a container top 1502, a container bottom 1503, a handle attachment 1501, a cup 1504A with a lid 1504B, a straw 1505, a placemat 1506, a resin container in the form of a milk tea carton 1507, raw material objects in the form of tapioca bubbles 1508 included in the miniature replica package, and ice cubes 1510 included in the miniature replica of an ice bag. The ruler on the top left side of the figure shows the approximate size of the miniature parts in inches. The raw materials (ice cubes 1510 and air bubbles 1508) are added to the base object (cup 1504A and lid 1504B) along with resin from the resin container (milk tea carton 1507) and the straw 1505 to create boba tea 1510. Additionally, the handle attachment 1501 is inserted (e.g., via a snap-fit mechanism) into the container top 1502 and, together with the container bottom 1503, serves as a display device for the boba tea 1510.

Figure 16 illustrates another example of a kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. Figure 16 omits the container and handle, but illustrates the parts used to make a miniature replica of a fruit salad. As shown in Figure 16, the components include a fruit dish 1602 (base object), different types of berries 1606-1608 (ingredient objects) in a replica container body, a glaze 1609 (resin) in a glaze container body, a placemat 1604, and a spoon 1603 (accessory object).

Figure 17 illustrates another example of a kit for making a miniature replica of a food or beverage item, according to an exemplary embodiment. Figure 17 omits the container body and handle, but shows the parts used to make a miniature replica of a cafe latte. As shown in Figure 17, the components include a drinking mug 1702 (base object), whipped cream in a whipped cream container 1708 and lid 1706 (ingredient objects), coffee 1705 (resin) in a coffee container body, a placemat 1704 and a straw 1703 (accessory objects).

Figure 18 illustrates another example of a kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, according to an exemplary embodiment. Figure 18 omits the container and handle, but illustrates the parts used to make a miniature replica of a pineapple smoothie. As shown in Figure 18, the components include a beverage mug 1802 (base object), whipped cream in a whipped cream container body 1808 and lid 1806 and pineapple slices 1809 in a fruit container body (ingredient objects), juice 1805 in a juice bottle (resin), a placemat 1804 and a straw 1803 (accessory objects).

The principles of the present invention have been described with reference to embodiments, but it will be recognized that the described embodiments may be modified in arrangement and detail without departing from such principles. Elements of embodiments shown in software may be implemented in hardware and vice versa.

In view of the many possible embodiments to which the principles of the present invention may be applied, the inventors claim as the invention all such embodiments that may come within the scope and spirit of the following claims and equivalents thereto.

Claims (29)

1. A kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, comprising:
a base object forming a base for a miniature replica of a food or beverage item, the base object including a miniature replica of a part of the food or beverage item;
a resin container containing a resin configured to be applied to and adhere to the base object, the resin container including a miniature replica of a container associated with the food or beverage item;
one or more ingredient objects configured to be at least partially embedded in said resin, the one or more ingredient objects including miniature replicas of one or more ingredients associated with said food or beverage item;
Including the kit. The kit of claim 1, wherein the resin is configured to at least partially fix the one or more feedstock objects within the resin by solidifying the resin when exposed to ultraviolet light, thereby fixing the resin to the base object. The kit of claim 2, wherein the base object and the resin have complementary properties that allow the resin to remain adhered to the base object prior to exposure to the ultraviolet light and that allow the ultraviolet light to penetrate the resin. The kit of claim 1, wherein one or more properties of the resin are customized to the base object, the one or more ingredient objects, or the food or beverage item. The kit of claim 4, wherein the one or more properties include one or more of color, translucency, opacity, viscosity, or concentration. The kit of claim 1, further comprising a container for housing the base object, the resin container, and one or more ingredient objects, at least a portion of the container being reconfigurable to function as a display device for miniature replicas of food or beverage items. The kit of claim 1, wherein the surface of the base object comprises a material configured to bond with the resin when the resin is cured. The kit of claim 1, wherein the food or beverage item component comprises one of a beverage container, a food dish, or a food item. The kit of claim 1, wherein the container associated with the food or beverage item comprises one of a milk container, a syrup container, a freeze container, a juice container, a liquor bottle, a soda bottle, or a coffee bottle. The kit of claim 1, wherein the one or more ingredients include one of tapioca balls, chocolate chips, berries, pineapple, ice cubes, whipped cream, sprinkles, lemon slices, or lime slices. 1. A kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, comprising:
a base object forming a base for a miniature replica of a food or beverage item, the base object including a miniature replica of a part of the food or beverage item;
a resin container containing a resin configured to be applied to the base object and to bond to the base object;
one or more ingredient objects configured to be at least partially embedded in a resin, the one or more ingredient objects including miniature replicas of one or more ingredients associated with the food or beverage item;
a container for containing a base object, a resin container, and one or more raw material objects;
A kit, wherein at least a portion of the container is reconfigurable to function as a display device for a miniature replica of a food or beverage item. The kit of claim 11, wherein the resin container includes a miniature replica of a container associated with the food or beverage item. The kit of claim 12, wherein the container associated with the food or beverage item comprises one of a milk container, a syrup container, a freezer container, a juice container, a liquor bottle, a soda bottle, or a coffee bottle. The kit of claim 11, configured to fix the resin to the base object by solidifying the resin when exposed to ultraviolet light, thereby at least partially fixing the one or more feedstock objects within the resin. The kit of claim 14, wherein the base object and the resin have complementary properties that allow the resin to remain adhered to the base object prior to exposure to the ultraviolet light and that allow the ultraviolet light to penetrate the resin. The kit of claim 11, wherein one or more properties of the resin are customized to one or more of the base object, the one or more ingredient objects, or the food or beverage item. The kit of claim 16, wherein the one or more properties include one or more of color, translucency, opacity, viscosity, or density. The kit of claim 11, wherein the surface of the base object comprises a material configured to bond with the resin when the resin is cured. The kit of claim 11, wherein the part of the food or beverage item comprises one of a beverage container, a food plate, or a food item. The kit of claim 11, wherein the one or more ingredients include one of tapioca balls, chocolate chips, berries, pineapple, ice cubes, whipped cream, sprinkles, lemon slices, or lime slices. 1. A kit for making miniature replicas of food or beverage items, comprising:
a base object forming a base for a miniature replica of a food or beverage item, the base object including a miniature replica of a part of the food or beverage item;
a resin container containing a resin configured to be applied to the base object and to bond to the base object;
one or more ingredient objects configured to be at least partially embedded in said resin, the one or more ingredient objects including miniature replicas of one or more ingredients associated with said food or beverage item;
the resin is configured to solidify when exposed to ultraviolet light, thereby fixing the resin to the base object and fixing one or more feedstock objects at least partially within the resin;
The kit, wherein the base object and the resin have complementary properties that allow the resin to remain adhered to the base object prior to exposure to ultraviolet light and that allow the ultraviolet light to penetrate the resin. 22. The kit of claim 21, wherein one or more properties of the resin are customized to one or more of the base object, the one or more ingredient objects, or the food or beverage item. 23.
