Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a band with link links used in accessories such as watches and bracelets.

Bands are often used in watches, bracelets, and other accessories. These bands often have connecting links that ensure sufficient strength against overall twisting, are pleasant to the touch, and fit well on the wrist. In these bands, the outer and inner links that make up the band are often removed to adjust the length of the band. Various structures have been proposed as adjustment mechanisms for removing the outer and inner links (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). A structure in which a connecting pin that connects the outer and inner links is screwed in from the side of the outer and inner links, or a structure that uses a long shaft with elasticity, have been used.

Figure 5 is a perspective view showing an example of a linking piece 210 that constitutes the band 200. As shown in Figure 5, the linking piece 210 includes an inner piece 220 and a first outer piece 230 and a second outer piece 240 that sandwich the inner piece 220. The inner piece 220, the first outer piece 230, and the second outer piece 240 are fixed together. The inner piece 220 has a through hole 221. The first outer piece 230 has a through hole 231, and the second outer piece 240 has a through hole 241.

Such a linking piece 210 is assembled as shown in FIG. 6. That is, the C-ring 250 is inserted into the through hole 231 of the linking piece 210 on the left side of the figure. Next, the inner piece 220 of the linking piece 210 on the right side of the figure is positioned with the first outer piece 230 and the second outer piece 240 of the linking piece 210 on the left side. The linking pin 260 is inserted from the through hole 241 side of the left linking piece 210, passed through the through hole 221 of the right linking piece 210, and penetrated to the through hole 231 of the left linking piece 210. As mentioned above, in a band equipped with a connecting piece, the opening of the through hole for inserting the connecting pin is exposed on the side of the band. In the band having a plurality of connecting pieces connected in the length direction of the present invention, the connecting pieces include a front piece located on the front side and a rear piece located on the rear side of the front piece, the front piece includes a front inner piece, a first front outer piece and a second front outer piece formed to protrude in the length direction relative to the front inner piece and positioned to clamp the band in the width direction, a front inner piece through hole penetrating the front inner piece in the width direction, and the rear piece includes a rear inner piece that engages with the rear side of the front inner piece, and a rear inner piece formed to protrude in the length direction relative to the rear inner piece and positioned to clamp the band in the width direction. The following describes an embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings.

Figure 1 is a perspective view showing a link 20 of a watch band 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, Figure 2 is an explanatory diagram showing an exploded view of the link 20, Figure 3 is an exploded perspective view of the link 20 of the watch band 10, and Figure 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the positional relationship of the link 20 from the back side. In the figures, L indicates the length direction of the watch band 10, and W indicates the width direction of the watch band 10.

The watch band 10 has multiple linking pieces 20 connected in the length direction L, and these linking pieces 20 are composed of a front link 30 that becomes the front side (upper part in FIG. 1) when the watch is worn on the wrist, and a rear link 70 that becomes the rear side (lower part in FIG. 1) when the watch is worn on the wrist. The front link 30 is made of metal, and the rear link 70 is made of ceramic or resin.

The front link 30 comprises a front inner link 40 located in the center in the width direction W, and a first front outer link 50 and a second front outer link 60 that are formed to protrude in the length direction L from the front inner link 40 and are positioned to clamp the watch band 10 in the width direction W. A pair of front inner link through holes 41 are provided on the side of the front inner link 40. A retaining portion 42 is formed on the front inner link 40 to engage and retain the back inner link 80.

The first outer front piece 50 has a first step portion 51 formed on the back side and on the inside of the width direction W, extending in the length direction L. A portion 92 of the first outer back piece 90 (described later) engages with the first step portion 51 so as to be freely slidable in the length direction L, but with its movement outward in the width direction W restricted.

The second front outer piece 60 has a second step portion 61 formed on the back side and on the inside of the width direction W, extending in the length direction L. A portion 102 of the second back outer piece 100 (described later) engages with the second step portion 61 so as to be freely slidable in the length direction L, but with its movement outward in the width direction W restricted.

The rear link 70 includes a rear inner link 80 that engages with the rear side of the front inner link 40, a first rear outer link 90 that protrudes in the length direction L from the rear inner link 80 and is positioned to clamp the watch band 10 in the width direction W, engages with the rear side of the first front outer link 50, and a second rear outer link 100 that engages with the rear side of the second front outer link 60. A pair of rear inner link through holes 81 are provided on the side of the rear inner link 80.

The first outer back piece 90 and the second outer back piece 100 are provided with a first outer back piece through hole 91 and a second outer back piece recess 101 that each penetrate in the width direction W and share a common axis line.

The first outer back piece 90 is formed with a portion 92 that engages with the first step portion 51 on the outside of the width direction W of the front side, slidably in the length direction L, while its outward movement in the width direction W is restricted. The second outer back piece 100 is formed with a portion 102 that engages with the second step portion 61 on the outside of the width direction W of the front side, slidably in the length direction L, while its outward movement in the width direction W is restricted.

Figure 3 shows a linking pin 110 that links multiple linking pieces 20. That is, a linking pin 110 is inserted so as to be able to swing freely through the first outer back piece through hole 91 and the second outer back piece recess 101 of the linking piece 20 on the left side of Figure 3 (a specific linking piece) among the multiple linking pieces 20, and through the front inner piece through hole 41 and the inner back piece through hole 81 of the linking piece 20 on the right side of Figure 3 adjacent to this linking piece 20 in the longitudinal direction.

The watch band 10 thus constructed is assembled as follows. That is, as shown in the left side of FIG. 3, the rear link 70 is brought close from the right side of the front link 30, and the rear link 80 is held by the holding portion 42 of the front link 40. At this time, the portion 92 of the first rear link 90 is inserted into the first step portion 51 of the first front link 50 by sliding it in the length direction L. At the same time, the portion 102 of the second rear link 100 is inserted into the second step portion 61 of the second front link 60 by sliding it in the length direction L. Therefore, the front link 30 and the rear link 70 are freely slidable in the length direction L, but are restricted from moving outward in the width direction W, forming a temporarily fixed connecting link 20. At this time, the axis lines of the front link through hole 41 and the rear link through hole 81 are aligned.

Next, move the connecting piece 20 located on the right side of FIG. 3, with the front piece 30 and rear piece 70 already temporarily attached, closer to the connecting piece 20 on the left side. Then, align the axis of the front inner piece through hole 41 and rear inner piece through hole 81 of the right connecting piece 20 with the axis of the first rear outer piece through hole 91 and second rear outer piece recess 101 of the left connecting piece 20.

Then, insert the connecting pin 110 from its tip side into the second rear outer link recess 101, through the front inner link through hole 41 and the rear inner link through hole 81, and into the first rear outer link through hole 91. This connects the two connecting links 20 so that they can swing freely. Note that the rear link 70 may be fixed with the connecting pin 110 before inserting the front link 30.

After the front link 30 and rear link 70 are integrated into the linking pieces 20 constructed in this way, adjacent linking pieces 20 are connected to each other by a linking pin 110 so that they can swing freely. In this way, the linking pieces 20 are formed, and the linking pieces 20 are linked together until the required length is obtained, and the watch band 10 is completed.

With the watch band 10 configured in this way, the rear link 70 can be slid and inserted into the front link 30 to be integrated, making assembly easy. Also, since the connecting pin 110 is exposed in the second rear outer link recess 101, the front link 30 and rear link 70 can be separated without breaking by pulling out the connecting pin 110.

In addition, the through hole for inserting the connecting pin 110 is not exposed to the outside, so polishing or other processes are not required. This makes it possible to achieve a beautiful appearance. Also, by using different materials for the front piece 30 and the rear piece 70, it is possible to achieve both decorativeness and a pleasant feel.

The above describes an embodiment of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited to this, and various improvements and modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the invention.

For example, while the above example was described as a watch band, it may also be used for jewelry bands. Also, the front and back links may be made of the same material.
