Description
本出願は、2017年6月8日に出願された米国仮出願第62/516,973号の、米国特許法第119条(e)に基づく利益及び優先権を主張し、この出願の内容の全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、米国国防高等研究計画局が認可した連邦助成金第N66001−10−C−2015号に基づく政府支援を受けて成された。政府は当該発明において一定の権利を有する。
Claims (20)
- 濃度を制御した作用剤を送達するためのデバイスであって、
前記作用剤用のリザーバと、
前記リザーバに動作可能に接続されている流量制御部と、
前記流量制御部から前記作用剤を放出するための弁と、
空気を流して前記弁によって放出された前記作用剤と混合させるための、及び前記作用剤と空気の混合物を前記デバイスから流出させるための、ポンプと、を備える、デバイス。 - 前記流量制御部は毛管システムを備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記毛管システムの長さは約1mmから約1000mmである、請求項2に記載のデバイス。
- 前記流量制御部は気体膨脹チャンバを備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記流量制御部に動作可能に接続されているマニホールドを更に備える、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 温度制御ユニットを更に備える、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記デバイスを通る前記作用剤の流量を制御するための制御装置を更に備える、請求項1から6からのいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記制御装置は前記ポンプ及び/又は前記温度を制御する、請求項7に記載のデバイス。
- 前記リザーバは交換可能なカートリッジを備える、請求項1から8からのいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記リザーバはステンレス鋼を含む、請求項1から9からのいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記リザーバの少なくとも一部に沿って共に延びているマニホールドの部分を更に備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- バッテリを更に備える、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 作用剤を更に含み、前記作用剤は液体状亜硝酸エチルを含む、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 気化した作用剤を患者に送達する方法であって、
液体状作用剤をデバイスのリザーバ内に収容することと、
前記作用剤を流量制御チャンバ内へと流して前記作用剤を気体に変えることと、
気体形態の前記作用剤を空気と混合することと、
前記作用剤と空気の混合物を前記デバイスから流出させて患者に送達することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記液体状作用剤を加熱することを更に含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記作用剤を約0.1〜100ppmの範囲で前記患者に送達することを含む、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
- 前記作用剤は液体状亜硝酸エチルを含む、請求項14から16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記デバイスの温度を制御することによって、前記患者に送達される前記作用剤の量を制御することを更に含む、請求項14から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記流量制御チャンバから出る流量を弁で制御することを更に含む、請求項14から18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記作用剤を前記患者に送達するためのデバイスは歩行用デバイスである、請求項14から19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
