前記構成において、図１に示す状態から、一対の半身部材２２Ａ、２２Ｂの先端部２６を分離させて、肩バンド１０に腕を通し、利用者の腹部の前で再び両半身部材２２Ａ、２２Ｂの先端部２６を重ねて固定具２８で固定すると、図４に示すように本発明の腹部カバー付きバックパックを装備することができる。
この状態で上半身の前面側は腹部しか覆われていないので、比較的暑い季節には利用者の体温上昇を回避することができる。他方、寒い季節にはジャンバーの上から腹部カバー付きのバックパックを羽織るように身に着けることで、腹部の冷えを回避できる。
また本発明のバックパックは身体の前面側では主に腹部を覆うだけなので、上半身をかがめたり、延ばしたりする自由を妨げない。
さらにポケット部３２には財布や小物を入れることができるので、便利である。

一対の半身部材２２Ａ、２２Ｂは、前記縫い留め部３６Ａに代えて着脱式係合部３６Ｂにより、前記バンドカバー１１に対して取り付けられている。図示例では着脱式係合部３６Ｂを面ファスナーとし、バンドカバー１１を面ファスナーが被着可能な材料で形成しているが、その構造は適宜変更することができ、例えばフック式の係合部を用いてもよい。またバンドカバー１１を省略するときには、着脱式係合部３６Ｂを設ける必要がない。
図示例では、説明を簡単にするために、第１実施形態の構成のうち補助リング１２、係止紐３８、リング体４０を省略している。
また肩バンド１０の適所、好ましくは、外部から利用者が視認できる位置に、肩バンド１０の分離及び再結合が可能な脱着手段１８を設ける。この脱着手段１８は、例えば従来公知のバックル本体１８ａ及び差込部１８ｂからなるバックルとすることができる。
また肩バンド１０は、３つの部分、図示例ではバックパック本体の上部から長さ調整部１４までの第１バンド部１０ａ、長さ調整部１４から脱着手段１８までの第２バンド部１０ｂ、及び脱着手段１８からバックパック本体２の下部までの第３バンド部１０ｃで形成することができる。
なお、脱着手段の構成は、適宜変更することができる。例えば肩バンド１０及び半身部材のうちの一方に、他方を着脱可能に挟むクリップ具を付設してもよく、肩バンド１０及び半身部材の対応箇所に相互に係合するフック及びフック受具を設けてもよく、さらに当該対応箇所に、面ファスナーなどを利用した分離可能な貼着面を設けてもよい。
長さ調整部１４に対する第１バンド部１０ａ及び第２バンド部１０ｂの取付け方法は、従来公知であるように、例えば第１バンド部１０ａを前記仕切り棒１４ｂに係止させ、次に第２バンド部１０ｂの先端部を、下側から２つのスリット孔１５を順次挿通させ、外枠１４ａの上辺部の外側で折り返して、下側のスリット孔１５を挿通させればよい。
本実施形態では、前記上側通し部３０ａ及び下側通し部３０ｂのサイズは、前記差込部１８ｂを挿通させることができるように設計される。
そして各半身部材２２Ａ、２２Ｂを肩バンド１０から外すときには、まず前記延長部分３４の着脱式係合部３６Ｂをバンドカバー１１から外して、次に脱着手段１８のバックル本体１８ａから差込部１８ｂを分離させる。そして、図６に示すようにバンドカバー１１を引き上げると、第２バンド部１０ｂが下側通し部３０ｂ及び上側通し部３０ａから順次引き抜かれ、半身部材２２Ａ、２２Ｂを外すことができる。
本実施形態によれば、腹部カバー２０は着脱可能な方式であるので、必要がないときには、取り外して通常のバックパックとして使用することができる。さらにまた腹部カバー２０のみを製品として購入し、既存のバックパックに適用することもできる。
