Description

Embodiments described herein relate generally to a printed circuit board.

In general, in electrical connection between boards, a board-side connection part provided on one side of a printed circuit board for connection is inserted into a connector insertion opening provided on a wiring board to be connected, and connected. In addition, a connector is provided on each of the two wiring boards to be connected, and a printed circuit board for connection having board-side connection parts on two opposite sides is prepared, and the board side of the two sides of this printed circuit board for connection A method of connecting and connecting the connecting portions to the insertion ports of the connectors in the two wiring boards is implemented. In this case, a plurality of board-side contact parts are provided in the board-side connection part in the printed circuit board for connection, and the plurality of board-side contact parts are provided in the insertion port of the connector to be connected. Electrical connection is made by contacting the connector side contact portion.

In the connection as described above, when it is necessary to ensure electrical insulation between the connector side contact portions of the connector on the wiring board side to be connected, the connector having a large number of connector side contact portions is used. In addition, in the board-side connection portion of the printed circuit board for connection, the board-side contact portion is not provided in a portion corresponding to the portion that ensures electrical insulation of the connector, so that the connector side in the connector An electrical insulation distance between the contact portions was ensured. In this case, when inserting the board side connection part of the printed circuit board for connection into the connector insertion port on the wiring board side, it is also necessary to insert the part where the board side contact part does not exist into the connector insertion port. The operation force of the part is also required, and as a result, a large operation force is required.

Therefore, a printed circuit board is provided that can reduce the operating force when the board side connecting portion is inserted into the insertion port of the connector on the wiring board side and can improve the assemblability.

The printed circuit board according to the present embodiment includes a substrate body and a substrate-side connection portion provided on one side of the substrate body and having a plurality of substrate-side contact portions. In this printed circuit board, the plurality of board-side contact portions can be accommodated by relatively inserting the board-side connection portion into an insertion port of a connector provided on a wiring board to be connected and having a plurality of connector-side contact portions. The connector side contact portions to be contacted are electrically connected. In the board-side connection portion, a portion in which the board-side contact portion does not exist despite a presence of the connector-side contact portion on the connector side to be inserted is cut out in a portion in which the board-side contact portion does not exist Set up a section.

Hereinafter, printed circuit boards according to a plurality of embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings. In addition, in each embodiment, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the substantially same component, and description is abbreviate | omitted.
(First embodiment)
First, a first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. First, FIG. 1 shows an overall schematic configuration. In the first embodiment, the first wiring board 1 to be connected, the connector 2 provided on the first wiring board 1, the second wiring board 3 to be connected, and the first 2 is provided with a connector 4 provided on the lower surface of the wiring board 3 and a printed board 5 for inter-board connection.

The first wiring board 1 is composed of a printed wiring board, and is provided with a wiring pattern (not shown). The connector 2 provided on the first wiring substrate 1 has a rectangular shape that is long in the left-right direction in FIG. 1, and has an insertion port 6 whose upper surface is open. As shown in FIG. 5, the insertion port 6 is formed in a slit shape that is long in the left-right direction. The insertion opening 6 is set to have a length and a width that allow insertion of one side portion of the printed circuit board 5 to be described later. The connector 2 is provided with a plurality of pairs of contact accommodating portions 7 so as to sandwich the insertion opening 6 from the width direction. A plurality of pairs of contact accommodating portions 7 are arranged at equal intervals in the extending direction of the insertion opening 6. Each contact accommodating portion 7 is provided with a connector side contact portion 8 as shown in FIG. Each connector side contact portion 8 is made of, for example, a leaf spring and is configured to be elastically deformable. The connector-side contact portions 8 that form a pair are biased in directions toward each other. In this case, 32 pairs of connector side contact portions 8 are provided.

The second wiring board 3 is also composed of a printed circuit board in the same manner as the first wiring board 1. The connector 4 provided on the second wiring board 3 is configured in the same manner as the connector 2 provided on the first wiring board 1.

The printed circuit board 5 for inter-board connection includes a plate-shaped substrate body 10 having a thickness that can be inserted into the insertion port 6. The substrate body 10 has a substantially rectangular plate shape that is long in the left-right direction. A substrate-side connecting portion 11 is provided on the lower side in FIG. A board-side connecting portion 12 is also provided on the opposite upper side. Each of the board side connection parts 11 and 12 is provided with a plurality of board side contact parts 13 on both the front and back surfaces. Each substrate side contact portion 13 is formed of, for example, a gold conductive pad. In this case, the substrate-side connection portion 11 on the lower side in FIG. 2 is provided with six substrate-side contact portions 13 on each of the front and back surfaces at six locations. Accordingly, a total of twelve substrate-side contact portions 13 are provided in the substrate-side connection portion 11 on the lower side portion side. A rectangular cutout portion 14 having an open bottom surface is provided in a portion of the substrate side connection portion 11 on the lower side portion where the substrate side contact portion 13 does not exist. The board-side connecting portion 11 on the lower side is provided with five notches 14 at five locations.

In the printed circuit board 5, the board-side connection part 12 on the upper side part side is also provided with two board-side contact parts 13 on both the front and back surfaces at six locations, similarly to the board-side connection part 11 on the lower side part side. At the same time, rectangular cutouts 14 whose upper surfaces are opened are provided at five locations where the substrate-side contact portion 13 does not exist. The bottom 14a of each notch 14 is linear. The substrate side contact portion 13 on the lower side and the corresponding substrate side contact 13 on the upper side are connected by a wiring pattern 15 (see FIG. 2).

In this case, as shown in FIG. 2, the board body 10 in the printed board 5 is vertically symmetric with respect to the vertical center line C1 and symmetric with respect to the horizontal center line C2 as viewed from the front. It has a shape. The board body 10 in the printed circuit board 5 has a comb-like shape having a plurality of notches 14 on the lower side and the upper side, respectively.

In the above configuration, an assembly procedure when the first wiring board 1 and the second wiring board 3 to be connected are connected by the printed board 5 for inter-board connection will be described. First, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 to 5, the board-side connecting portion 11 on the lower side of the printed board 5 is inserted into the insertion opening 6 of the connector 4 in the first wiring board 1 from above. Along with this, the board-side connecting part 11 on the lower side is inserted between the two connector-side contact parts 8 that are opposed to each other in the connector 4, and each board-side contact part 13 is connected to the corresponding connector side. The contact portion 8 is contacted and electrically connected. At this time, in the board side connection part 11 on the lower side part side, the bottom part 14a of the notch part 14 does not reach the insertion port 6 of the connector 4, so that it is inserted at least between the corresponding connector side contact parts 8. There is no. For this reason, in the board side connection part 11 on the lower side part, even if the connector side contact part 8 exists on the connector 4 side to be inserted, a part where the board side contact part 13 does not exist (notch part 14 part) is inserted. Since there is no need to insert into the opening 6, it is possible to reduce the operating force when the board-side connecting portion 11 on the lower side is inserted into the insertion opening 6.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 1, the board-side connecting portion on the upper side of the printed board 5 is inserted into the insertion slot 6 of the connector 4 with the insertion slot 6 of the connector 4 in the second wiring board 3 facing downward. 12 is inserted relatively. Accordingly, as described above, the board-side connection part 12 on the upper side is inserted between the two connector-side contact parts 8 that are opposed to each other in the connector 4 and each board-side contact part 13 is connected to each other. The connector side contact portion 8 is contacted and electrically connected. Also at this time, as shown in FIG. 7, in the board-side connecting portion 12 on the upper side, the bottom portion 14a of the notch portion 14 does not reach the insertion port 6 of the connector 4, so at least the corresponding connector-side contact portion It is not inserted between the eight. For this reason, in the board side connection part 12 on the upper side part side, there is no need to insert a part (notch part 14 part) where the board side contact part 13 does not exist into the insertion port 6, and therefore the board side connection part on the upper side part side. The operating force when inserting 12 into the insertion slot 6 can be reduced. In FIG. 7, the upper second wiring board 3 is provided with a fixing member 16 for fixing it to a predetermined part.

Here, FIG. 8 shows a conventional printed circuit board 20 for inter-board connection. This printed board 20 is different from the printed board 5 of the first embodiment in the following points. That is, in the substrate body 21 of the printed circuit board 20, the notch portion 14 is not provided in the substrate side connection portion 11 on the lower side portion side and the substrate side connection portion 12 on the upper side portion side. For this reason, the board body 21 has a simple rectangular plate shape. When the board-side connection part 11 on the lower side of the printed board 20 is inserted into the insertion port 6 of the connector 4 in the first wiring board 1. The portion 22 where the board side contact portion 13 does not need to be inserted between the connector side contact portions 8 in the insertion port 6, and the operation force of the portion 22 is also required, resulting in a large operation force. And The same applies to the case where the board side connecting portion 12 on the upper side is relatively inserted into the insertion port 6 of the upper connector 4. On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the operation force can be reduced as compared with the conventional printed circuit board 20.

In the embodiment described above, the board body 10 of the printed circuit board 5 has a rectangular shape, and the board-side connection parts 11 and 12 and the notch part 14 are located on the board body 10 and are opposed to the upper and lower sides. The substrate main body 10 is vertically symmetrical with respect to the vertical center line C1, and is symmetrical with respect to the horizontal center line C2. According to this, there exists an advantage which can prevent erroneous insertion of the printed circuit board 5 with respect to the upper and lower connectors 4.

(Second Embodiment)
FIG. 9 shows a second embodiment. This second embodiment differs from the first embodiment in the following points. In the board-side connection part 11 on the lower side of the board body 10 of the printed board 25, the second and fourth cutouts 14 from the left are closed, and a blocking part 27 is formed here. In this case, the notch portions 14 having the same shape are formed at three locations on the substrate side connection portion 11 on the lower side. In the board-side connecting portion 12 on the upper side, the second cutout portion 14 from the left is closed, a closed portion 27 is formed here, and the fourth cutout portion 28 from the left is the cutout portion. The width in the left-right direction is narrower than 14.

In the case of this embodiment, the board body 10 of the printed circuit board 25 is not vertically symmetrical with respect to the vertical center line C1 and is not symmetrical with respect to the horizontal center line C2. The substantially same operation effect as 1 embodiment can be acquired.

(Third embodiment)
FIG. 10 shows a third embodiment. The third embodiment differs from the first embodiment in the following points. In the substrate main body 10 of the printed circuit board 30, the bottom portion 14 b of each notch portion 14 is formed in a non-linear shape with a recess 14 c that is deeper than the other at one location. With such a configuration, it is possible to ensure a long creepage distance between the board-side contact portions 13 adjacent to each other via the notch portion 14.

(Other embodiments)
In each of the above-described embodiments, the printed circuit board includes the first wiring board 1 and the second wiring board 3 that have the board-side connection parts 11 and 12 on the lower side and the upper side and are opposed to each other vertically. Although the printed circuit board for connecting between boards to be connected is illustrated, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, a printed circuit board has a board side connection part on a lower side part and a side part adjacent thereto, and two wiring boards are printed. It can also be set as the structure connected to the lower part and side part of a board | substrate.

Further, the printed circuit board is not limited to the one that connects the boards, and for example, a circuit is provided on the printed circuit board, and the printed circuit board can be applied to a configuration in which the printed circuit board is connected to a wiring board to be connected.
