Abstract
【解決手段】リチウム二次電池用活物質中のFe不純物を磁力によって除去する製造方法であって、凹部の少なくとも一部に磁力発生装置を用いることによりFe不純物のみを効率よく除去することができる。その結果、電池内で正極中の不純物としてのFe化合物が溶解して負極に移動することによる電圧低下、またLiが析出することによる充放電効率の低下や電圧低下を抑制することができるものと考えられる。

(実施例1)
<試料の準備>
LiFePO4 500gと磁石1を埋め込んだ凹部5を有する治具2(直径20mm高さ10mmの樹脂の中心部に直径2mm深さ2mmの穴を設け、その下に直径2mm高さ5mmの磁石(サマリウムコバルト)を配置した構造)とを治具2の凹部5が上面になるように水1500mlの入った容器3に投入後10分間、容器3の底面に対して平行に撹拌した(図1、2)。
磁石を埋め込んだ治具4(直径20mm高さ10mmの樹脂の中心部に直径2mm高さ5mmの磁石(サマリウムコバルト)を2mm突出するように配置した構造)を磁石の突出部が上面になるように配置したこと以外は実施例1と同様にした(図3、4)。
実施例1及び比較例1の磁石上の付着物をSEM,EDXにて観察した(図5、6)。磁石上の付着物は、磁石の上に粘着テープを押し付けることにより、粘着テープの表面上に移行させた。図5及び図6は、粘着テープ上の付着物を示している。

Claims (9)
- 活物質又は活物質を構成する原料中のFe不純物を磁力によって除去するリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造装置であって、
当該活物質又は活物質を構成する原料が通過する流路に沿って少なくとも一つの凹部が配置され、
かつ凹部の少なくとも一部を構成するように磁力発生装置が配置されていることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造装置。 - 活物質又は活物質を構成する原料中のFe不純物を磁力によって除去するリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造装置であって、
当該活物質又は活物質を構成する原料が通過する筒に沿って少なくとも一つの凹部が配置され、
かつ凹部の少なくとも一部を構成するように磁力発生装置が配置されていることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造装置。 - 活物質中のFe不純物を磁力によって除去するリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造方法であって、請求項1又は2に記載の製造装置を用いることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造方法。
- 前記リチウム二次電池用活物質がリチウム遷移金属オキシアニオン化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造方法。
- 前記リチウム遷移金属オキシアニオン化合物がLiMPO4(MはCo,Ni,Mn,Feから選ばれる少なくとも1種以上の元素)であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造方法。
- 前記リチウム遷移金属オキシアニオン化合物がLiFePO4であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造方法。
- 前記活物質がスラリーに含まれることを特徴とする請求項3乃至6に記載のリチウム二次電池用活物質の製造方法。
- 請求項3乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の方法により製造された活物質を備えることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池用電極の製造方法。
- 正極と、負極と、非水電解液とを備えたリチウム二次電池の製造方法であって、当該正極又は当該負極の少なくとも一方を請求項8に記載の方法により製造することを特徴とするリチウム二次電池の製造方法。
