Abstract
Description
(i)第1の層のポリマー材料が、1種または複数のジオール;1種または複数のジカルボン酸;および1種または複数のポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールから得られたモノマー単位を含んだコポリエステルを含み、
(ii)第2の層が、ヒートシール可能なポリマー層である
フィルムが提供される。
R1は、低分子量ジオール(好ましくはエチレングリコール)から得られ;
Aは、芳香族ジカルボン酸(好ましくはテレフタル酸(TA)、イソフタル酸(IPA)、または2,6−ナフタレンジカルボン酸、より好ましくはTA)から得られた芳香族環(好ましくはフェニルまたはナフチル、より好ましくはフェニル)であり;
比率x:yは、約3:1から約80:1の範囲内にあり(一実施形態では40:1よりも大きく約80:1までである);
yは、好ましくは1〜3の範囲内であり;
nは、上記にて列挙された分子量を与えるのに必要とされる重合度であり、典型的には14〜28の範囲内である)。
(i)1種または複数のジオール;1種または複数のジカルボン酸;および1種または複数のポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールから得られたモノマー単位を含有するコポリエステルを含むポリマー材料の第1の層を提供するステップと、
(ii)第1の層の表面に、ヒートシール可能な第2のポリマー層を提供するステップと
を含む。
εB(%)=(破断点伸長/L0)×100
と定義される(式中、L0は、グリップ間でのサンプルの元の長さである)。
(単層フィルム)
一連のコポリエステルを、表1に示されるテレフタル酸、エチレングリコール、および第3の成分を使用して作製した。第3の成分(ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールまたは第2のジカルボン酸)のモル%は、最終的なコポリエステル中のジオールおよび/または2価酸部分のモル%としてそれぞれ表1に示す。コポリエステルは、(テレフタル酸のジメチルエステルを使用する)エステル交換経路を介し、または直接エステル交換を介した従来の技法を使用して作製した。
複合フィルムも、共押出しによって製造し、この場合、第1の層は、上記にて示された通気性コポリエステルであり、第2の層は、通気性のヒートシール可能なポリマー層であった。コポリマー材料は、以下に示すコポリマーP1、P2、P3、P4、HS1、およびHS2を成形するために、テレフタル酸、エチレングリコール、および第3および任意選択で第4の成分を反応させることによって得られた。モル%の値は、最終的なポリマーで測定されたものである。
P2:グリコール部分の37%のレベルにあるPEG 1000
P3:グリコール部分の31%のレベルにあるPEG 3350
P4:グリコール部分の33.5%のレベルにあるPEG 3350;および酸部分の1.4%のレベルにあるスルホ−イソフタル酸
HS1:酸部分の18%のレベルにあるイソフタル酸
HS2:グリコール部分の10%のレベルにあるPEG 400;および酸部分の18%のレベルにあるイソフタル酸
コポリエステルを、別々の押出し機から供給された別々の流れを用いて一つのチャネルの共押出しアセンブリに共押出した。ポリマー層を、フィルム成形ダイに通して、水冷回転急冷ドラム上に様々なライン速度で押し出すことにより、非晶質流延複合押出し物が得られた。流延押出し物を、約50から80℃の範囲の温度に加熱し、次いで約3:1の順方向の延伸比で縦方向に延伸した。このポリマーフィルムを、約110℃の温度でステンタオーブン内に通し、そこでシートを横方向に、その元の寸法の約4倍に延伸し、次いで210から225℃の間の温度で熱硬化した。フィルムの最終的な厚さは23μmであり、この場合、第2の(ヒートシール可能な)層は、第1の層の厚さの10〜15%であった。フィルムは透明であり、例えば実施例6は、ヘーズが4.5%であった。フィルムのWVTRを表2に示す。
Claims (39)
- ポリマー材料の第1および第2の層を含み、通気性のヒートシール可能な複合フィルムであって、
(i)前記第1の層のポリマー材料が、1種または複数のジオール、1種または複数のジカルボン酸、および1種または複数のポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールから得られたモノマー単位を含有するコポリエステルを含み、
(ii)前記第2の層が、ヒートシール可能なポリマー層である
ことを特徴とする複合フィルム。 - ガス状態の水に対して透過性があることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールは、ポリエチレングリコール(PEG)、ポリプロピレングリコール(PPG)、およびポリ(テトラメチレンオキシド)グリコール(PTMO)から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールはポリエチレングリコールであることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールの平均分子量は、約400から約10000であることを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールの平均分子量は、約400から約4500であることを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のフィルム。
- ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールの量は、前記コポリエステルのグリコール部分の45モル%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記コポリエステル中に存在するポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールの量は、10から40モル%の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層のコポリエステルは、芳香族酸を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層のコポリエステルは、テレフタル酸を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層のコポリエステルは、脂肪族ジオールを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層のコポリエステルは、エチレングリコールを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層のコポリエステルは、第1の芳香族ジカルボン酸および第2のジカルボン酸を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の芳香族ジカルボン酸は、テレフタル酸であることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第2のジカルボン酸は、脂肪族ジカルボン酸であることを特徴とする請求項13または14に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第2のジカルボン酸は、アジピン酸またはアゼライン酸から選択されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第2のジカルボン酸は、スルホン化芳香族ジカルボン酸であることを特徴とする請求項13または14に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第2のジカルボン酸は、ナトリウムスルホ−イソフタル酸であることを特徴とする請求項17に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1のジカルボン酸は、全酸成分の50から100%の量で存在し、前記第2のジカルボン酸は、全酸成分の0から50モル%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項13から18のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層の厚さは、約0.5から約300μmの範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1〜19のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール可能な第2の層は、第1のジカルボン酸、および第1の低分子量ジオール、および第2のジカルボン酸または第2の低分子量ジオールから得られることを特徴とする請求項1から20のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール可能な第2の層は、エチレングリコール、テレフタル酸、およびイソフタル酸から得られたコポリエステルであることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール可能な第2の層は、テレフタル酸、エチレングリコール、および1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールから得られたコポリエステルであることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール可能な第2の層のポリマー材料は、第1の芳香族ジカルボン酸、低分子量脂肪族ジオール、ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコール、およびその他のヒートシール性を付与するジカルボン酸から得られることを特徴とする請求項1から20のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の芳香族ジカルボン酸はテレフタル酸であり、かつ/または前記低分子量脂肪族ジオールはエチレングリコールであり、かつ/または前記その他のヒートシール性を付与するジカルボン酸はイソフタル酸であることを特徴とする請求項24に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1のジカルボン酸は、全酸成分の50から90モル%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項24または25に記載のフィルム。
- 前記低分子量ジオールは、全グリコール成分の60から90モル%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項24、25、または26に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールは、ポリ(エチレンオキシド)グリコールであることを特徴とする請求項24から27のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 共押出しされた複合フィルムであることを特徴とする請求項1〜28のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール可能な第2の層は、芳香族ジカルボン酸および脂肪族ジカルボン酸から得られたコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から20のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール可能な第2の層は、エチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から20のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第2の層の厚さは、約0.05から約20μmの範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1〜31のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記複合フィルムは、6%未満のヘーズを示すことを特徴とする請求項1〜32のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記複合フィルムは、少なくとも60g/m2/日の水蒸気透過率(WVTR)を示すことを特徴とする請求項1〜33のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記複合フィルムは、250%未満の破断伸びを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜34のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の層のコポリエステルは、少なくとも0℃であり60℃以下のガラス転移温度(Tg)を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜35のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
- カットした植物を包装する際の通気性フィルムとして請求項1から36のいずれか1項に記載のフィルムを使用する方法。
- 前記包装中で蓋をするフィルムとして請求項37に記載のフィルムを使用する方法であって、前記包装は蓋をするフィルムおよび容器を含むことを特徴とする方法。
- カットした植物を入れた容器、および請求項1から36のいずれか1項に記載のポリマーフィルムから成形された蓋を含むことを特徴とする密閉容器。
