Description

The present invention relates to a head-up display device which is mounted on a vehicle and performs display by irradiating display light from a display element to a windshield or a dedicated irradiation member.

As a conventional head-up display device, for example, a device described in Patent Document 1 is known. In this head-up display device, a display element made of, for example, a liquid crystal panel and a reflection member are accommodated in a housing in which an emission part is formed, and display light (display image) of the display element is reflected through the reflection member and is also transmitted through the emission part. The display is performed by irradiating the irradiation member of the vehicle and the windshield of the automobile.

The reflection member is held through a holder member, and is provided so as to be rotatable about a predetermined rotation axis so that the position of the display image irradiated on the windshield as an irradiation member can be moved to adjust the position. At this time, the holder member is provided with a pair of shaft portions (supported portions) that project to the periphery along the rotation axis, and on the other hand, on the housing side, a pair of bearing portions that support the pair of shaft portions ( The supporting member is provided, and the reflecting member held through the holder member is configured to be rotatable by bearing-holding these shaft portions with the bearing portion.

Incidentally, the holder member is preferably formed of a synthetic resin material, but the synthetic resin material has a property of a large linear expansion coefficient. For this reason, it is necessary to secure a clearance in the rotation axis direction (rotation thrust direction) when supporting the synthetic resin holder member by bearing. However, if the clearance is set large, rattling occurs due to vibration.

The reflection unit 5 reflects the display light (display image) L incident through the plane mirror 4 toward the emission unit 8 and, with the operation of the actuator 6, the center (axis) about a predetermined rotation axis AX (see FIG. 4). Although it is comprised so that rotation is possible, the detailed structure is mentioned later.

The display light L reflected through the reflection unit 5 is transmitted through the translucent cover 9 provided in the emitting portion 8 and is irradiated onto the windshield 7 and is visually recognized by the occupant P as a virtual image.

The actuator 6 is composed of, for example, a stepping motor, and is attached and fixed to the housing 1 in a state of being connected to the reflection unit 5 through an output gear 6a (see FIG. 5).

Next, the reflection unit 5 will be described with reference to FIGS. The reflection unit 5 includes a reflection member 10 and a holder member 20.

The reflecting member 10 is a concave mirror in which a reflecting film is formed on the surface of a base material made of a synthetic resin material by means such as vapor deposition.

The holder member 20 is made of, for example, a black synthetic resin material, and includes a holding portion 21, a gear portion 22, a pair of first and second supported portions 23 and 24, and a pair of restriction portions 25 and 26. ing.

The holding part 21 extends along the reflecting member 10 and adheres to and holds the reflecting member 10.

The gear portion 22 is formed on the opposite side of the holding portion 21 to the side to which the reflecting member 10 is bonded, and is connected to the output gear 6 a of the actuator 6.

The pair of first and second supported parts 23 and 24 are provided so as to sandwich the reflecting member 10 along the rotation axis AX when the holder member 20 is rotated through the actuator 6. It is rotatably supported by the housing 1 through a pair of support portions.

Of the pair of first and second supported portions 23 and 24, the first supported portion 23 is located on the opposite side of the holding portion 21 from the side to which the reflecting member 10 is bonded, and is cylindrical ( And is open so that one of the pair of support portions can be inserted.

On the other hand, the second supported portion 24 is narrow in cross-section by using the protruding piece 28 that is bent from the holding portion 21 and protrudes further laterally from the outer wall surface of the extension 27 that extends to the side of the reflecting member 10. It is formed as a shaft part so that it can be inserted into the other of the pair of support parts.

The pair of restricting portions 25 and 26 is formed of a flange-shaped portion having a wide cross section formed so as to sandwich the second supported portion 24 using the protruding piece 28, and the second supported portion 24 is connected to the other of the above-described portions. When inserted into the support portion, it abuts against a part of the support portion and restricts the movement of the second supported portion 24 in the direction of the rotation axis AX. In this case, the interval between the restricting portions 25 and 26 allows the second supported portion 24 to be inserted into the other supporting portion, but when the insertion is completed, the second supported portion 24 is moved in the direction of the rotation axis AX. It is set to a size that can be prohibited.

Next, the first and second support portions will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4 and 6.

First, first and second support members 30 and 40 which are separate parts from the housing 1 are attached and fixed to one location of the housing corresponding to each of the first and second supported portions 23 and 24. First and second support portions 31 and 41 are formed on the first and second support members 30 and 40, respectively.

The first support member 30 is made of, for example, a black synthetic resin material, and includes a first support portion 31 and a first attachment fixing portion 32.

The 1st support part 31 protrudes along rotation axis AX, and consists of a protrusion part which inserts the 1st supported part 23 and supports the end of the holder member 20 rotatably.

The first mounting and fixing portion 32 is formed of a plate-like piece whose cross-sectional shape is bent in a “<” shape, and is fixedly fixed to the first mounting portion 50 of the housing 1 through a screw or the like.

The second support member (support member) 40 is also made of, for example, a black synthetic resin material, and includes a second support portion 41, a second attachment fixing portion 42, a peripheral wall portion 43, and a partition portion 44. It has a bottom box shape.

The second support portion 41 includes a hole portion that rotatably supports the second support portion 24 by forming a part of the peripheral wall portion 43 in a notch. An introduction groove 45 provided to cut out a part of the peripheral wall portion 43 is connected, and the second support portion 24 is assembled through the introduction groove 45.

The second mounting / fixing portion 42 forms a bottom wall of the peripheral wall portion 43 and the partitioning portion 44 and is fixedly fixed to the second mounting portion 60 of the housing 1 through screws or the like.

The peripheral wall portion 43 and the partition portion 44 are continuously formed on the second mounting / fixing portion 4 so as to ensure the strength of the second support member 40.

Next, attachment of the holder member 20 to the housing 1 through the first and second support members 30 and 40 will be described.

First, the first support member 30 is attached and fixed to the first attachment portion 50 of the housing 1.

Next, the second support member 40 is inserted and assembled into the second supported portion 24 of the holder member 20.

At this time, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the second supported portion 24 has a cross-sectional shape set to an elongated shape formed by combining a pair of wide portions and a pair of narrow portions. After the supported portion 24 is inserted into the introduction groove 45 of the second support member 40 along its longitudinal axis and positioned in the second support portion 41 (FIG. 7), the supported portion 24 or the second portion By rotating the support member 40, the longitudinal axis of the supported portion 24 and the extension axis of the introduction groove 45 are made inconsistent, whereby the assembly of the second support member 20 to the holder member 20 is completed.

Next, the holder member 20 assembled with the second support member 20 is assembled to the housing 1, and the assembly is performed by attaching the holder member to the first support portion 31 of the first support member 30 that is attached and fixed in advance. The first supported portion 23 of 20 is inserted along the direction of the rotation axis AX to support the holder member 20 with respect to the housing 1, and then the second supported portion 41 of the holder member 20 is supported. The second support member 40 is attached and fixed to the second attachment portion 60 of the housing 1, whereby the holder member 20 is rotatably attached to the housing 1.

In this attached state, the gear 22 of the holder member 20 is connected to the output gear 6 a of the actuator 6, and the reflecting member 10 held by the holder member 20 rotates with the operation of the actuator 6, and the display on the windshield 7 is performed. The position of the image L can be adjusted in the vertical direction when viewed from the passenger P.

Further, in this attached state, the first supported portion 23 has a gap S between the first supported portion 31 and the first supported portion 23 that allows the first supported portion 23 to move in the direction of the rotation axis AX. The second supported portion 24 is supported by the first support portion 31, while the second supported portion 24 is the second support portion 41 in a state where the movement in the rotation axis AX direction is prohibited by the pair of restricting portions 25 and 26. Supported (see FIG. 4).

Therefore, for example, even if the holder member 20 expands due to a cooling cycle or the like and increases in size, the increase due to the gap S is absorbed, thereby ensuring a gap necessary for the rotation of the holder member 20 at all times and regulating the holder member 20. Since the movement in the direction of the rotation axis AX is restricted by the portions 25 and 26, rattling does not occur.

As described above, in the present embodiment, the display unit (element) 2 and the reflection member 10 are accommodated in the housing 1 in which the emission portion 8 is formed, and the display light L of the display unit 2 is reflected through the reflection member 10.
